  1. if richard hardy returned each starter, it's hard to believe they're not going to improve on how they did last season. rh beats sp. mark it down.
  2. Temple was just playing at a completely different level then Sale Creek. I'm definately picking Temple to win it all.
  3. But the thing about it is, Sale Creek outmatches this team (Whitwell) athletically but they still lose to them. It doens't make logical sense to me, how you can play the 2-3 zone against a bigger, faster team in CSAS, yet when you play Whitwell which is (no offense) a slower, smaller team they play you out of it and force you to go to a man to man. To watch Marcus Manning post stronger, taller players and cause them to get into foul trouble, physically made me sick. The loss last night against Temple cannot be blamed against any players on Sale Creek's team. It was evident after the first quarter last night that Sale Creek was simply outclassed by Temple. Temple was playing a higher level of basketball. They were moving the ball well, finding the open man for uncontested shots, then on the defensive end they were trapping the inbounds pass, running full court man to man, contesting every shot, getting in the passing lanes, I was THROUGHLY impressed with Temple and after the display they put on last night, I would be surprissed if they don't win it all. Another great coaching job by Wadley to get the team clicking when it matters most. If I'm a Sale Creek basketball player, I think I have to step back from the game and focus on this season and espically the game last night and I have to realize that if I want to have any semblance of a successful season, that I have to make a commitment to bettering myself. Because like I said above, last night it looked as if Temple was on a complete different level then Sale Creek & that shouldn't be possible, this is high school kids we're talking about. It would also be smart for Sale Creek to look to schedule Temple for 2 regular season games next season if possible, because Temple will be the biggest competition next year, espically with Temple returning their whole starting lineup.
  4. #14 for SP still hasn't passed Antonio the ball... Antonio was on fire, if I was the PG on that team, there's no doubt in my mind that I would of gotten Antonio the ball on EVERY possession. The only time I would even think about shooting is if he was doubled/tripled and I was wide open. #14, #32, #10 were at the top of the key shooting contested jumpers. Can we please pass Antonio the ball when he's wide open and has hit 6 threes?
  5. I thought we were going to pull it out. If we didn't have so many turnovers at the start of the second half we would of been fine. From the looks of it CSAS and SC will battle next year with both teams only starting 1 senior and everyone else losing their best players.
  6. Temple won't win this game but they will win when it matters.
  7. once temple/grace was compared to duke this thread lost all credability. basically grace/temple could have an off night but sp isn't going to play mistake-free basketball. they are going to get pressed and turn the ball over all night long.
  8. not surprising that you wouldn't try to match my arguement point for point, you would try to personally insult me. and untoldinformer if you're going to call me out on my basketball skills then how about letting me know who you are? I guess it's pretty easy to sit at home on the computer and criticize someone's skill whenever no one knows who you are.
  9. can you read ghostwriter? your insults towards sale creek don't matter to me because I agree with you 100%. nice job on looking like a jackass. instead of matching my points in a basketball sense, you try to insult a team that I've already critiqued as being terrible. proceed to logout from coacht forever. thanks.
  10. SP is just an average team doing average things in an lower than average district.
  11. So the Pittsburg bias fans are out in full force tonight. Let's look at this "great" pirates team season thus far. 11-5.. impressive. From just looking at the record I would say the team is doing good, but then again let's look at the losses. They've lost to: Temple Bledsoe CSAS McCallie 21st century (granted Robinson was out). Now let's look at the 11 wins: Sewanee Whitwell RH SC LV Boyd Christian Marion Co. Wow guys, nice job. You beat lower eschlon teams, but when it comes time to play against the big dogs you lose. That's why the team isn't going anywhere in the region. They're either going to lose to CSAS, Temple, or Grace and get put out. Don't get on here and try to talk their team up when their district is full of bottom feeders in the region. They're not going to be able to compete with the top teams come tournament time. Football Fan - the reason SP doesn't play well against SC is because SC runs a 2-2-1 full court press. SP guards are unable to break a press or handle the ball for that matter so they throw the ball all over the gym. and the best player in the region is Seth Skogen by far.
  12. yea and sgt.lewis quit coaching baseball about 6-7 years ago.
  13. i don't play for anyone. i've just watched them play sc.
  14. are you special ed? just because I'm from sale creek doesn't mean I'm bias towards SC. Sale Creek is terrible as well. Everyone in district 6A from top to bottom is bad. Have you watched SP play basketball? The only one who looks like they have any sense of knowledge of the game is Antonio. Starkley is pathetic. On the press will you please just take the ball up the middle and then pass it instead of running into the corner? You would think time after time, turnover after turnover it would probably come to him as a revelation that if he runs away from the trap he might turn the ball over less. Then the funny thing is, is that the guy gets out and tries to jack the ball whenever he touches it -- when Robinson is wide open. Then they jaw at eachother. Please just stop being jealous of Robinson and give him the ball, you're terrible, you're hurting your team by shooting the ball, the last thing you need to do is have a bad attitude against the focal point of your team. Realistically the only reason you're even scoring any points is because Robinson is being doubled, and zones are packing in on him. If I was you I would thank him on a daily basis. But then if that wasn't enough there's some other guard for SP that cannot dribble, nor shoot the ball. The only way I know how to describe him is he shoots with one hand and when he dribbles the ball it's like nails on a chalk board. Please just pass and go stand as far away from the orange sphere as possible. Then Richard Hardy is just extremely bad. Joe is going to get shut down by Antonio unless Antonio chooses not to play aggressive and pick up cheap fouls. Then it's left on the other player shoulders and I'm going to go out on a limb and guess SP has more "talent" than RH. now that is getting "rrrracked".
  15. i haven't watched sewanee play but I'm guessing sale creek will win this game. they need to sit randolph and start kobe maye. move plank to the 3. stop pressing the whole game when you're men at the top of the press aren't pressuring the ball, it's WORTHLESS.
  16. they're both terrbile but i would think hardy is just a little worse.
  17. Antonio is all they have, no one else has the ability to dribble or score the ball.
  18. they're all bad. south pitt has a decent chance to do something with robinson, but their other guards are worthless and whenever I watched SP play SC, SP PG was refusing to pass Robinson the ball whenever Robinson was wide open on the wing, which gives me the idea that he was trying to take over the game.. which isn't what SP wants espically whenever he lacks ball handling and shooting ability. So when it comes to region, SP's guard play, or lack there of is going to be what keeps them from making a run.
  19. will someone please get the ball out of smith's hands? he almost costed grace the game down the stretch, he had 4/5 turnovers with 2 mins to go in regulation. if they had lost the game i really have to ask myself what my teammate is doing trying to run the baseline on a blocking foul inbound pass.
  20. the players for sc should of realized that they were shadowing wilson and they should of set screens for him to get open. instead once adam passed the ball, no one screened and the offense was out of control.
