Humboldt played a very solid second half.Everytime I see them play,they look better and better.They know they are the defending Champs and know people are coming after them and they know it and take care of business on the court.I think right now, out of all the Single A teams in West Tennessee that people talk about to go to the Glass House, Humboldt is the best team right now. I havent seen Mitchell play but they lost their best player, so BTW might be the best in that region.

Who won the Jackson Co and Livingston Academy game?

I knew what grade Bradford was in.I call it like I see it.Humboldt just took it to us.I did call a 10 point win in this game for UC.I was wrong and it want be the last time.If im not mistaken,you called for Humboldt to beat UC twice in football.So we both made bad predictions.LOL.

I gave you credit Viking.I said you guys beat us every way you can name it.Im not making any excuses.You guys were better defensively and offensively.

Humboldt just whooped UC the second half.Plain and simple,they are the better team.Humboldt has toughness,UC is not tough enough.Going to have to get tough and fight back if they are to get out of the regional semifinals this year.Humboldt and South Fulton are the best 2 teams in 14A right now.

If Lake Co dont start winning some District games,they going to be playing Humboldt, SF,or UC the first round of the District Tournament on the road.LC already have 4 district losses and play a tough Halls team on the road tonight and still have Humboldt at home and go to UC next Friday and also have to go to SF.

Lookingfortalent,I think someone said that he should be at least a 4star if he played on the right AAU team.He isnt a 4Star.He is a senior and haven't signed anywhere yet.I think Vikingalum said he has offers from UTM,Murray St, UTEP,East Tn St and i think Florida Atlantic. I think he will get more.

Thats what I was saying in my post earlier when GC Pioneer aaked me to compare Hubbs and Bradford.I said that Dyer Co offense didnt run through Hubbs.The first one that got the ball across half court was shooting.Humboldt's offense is run by Bradford and goes through Bradford. Dyer Co full court pressed the whole game and a lot of times Hubbs is in the back of the press and Dyer Co would get a lot of turnovers.In their halfcourt sets,like I said,the first one got the ball was shooting. I enjoy watching both of them but hope to contain Bradford tonight.

We will know when they go back to school where he enrolled.

Mitchell best player left the team.BTW may be the favorites to play in Substate out of their region.Have to see how Mitchell respond the second half of the year.

Humboldt has a very good team,but they only play 7,so they dont have a loaded bench.The only guys that can shoot from outside is Bradford and Turner.Agnew is not consistent. Brown,Mclilly,Montague,and 31,you have to keep off the boards because thats their only offense. When they played Lake Co and LC was playing a 2-3 zone,I dont know why they went out to guard Mclilly,Montague,and 31.You have to make them shoot that 3.I think the key is rebounding, if UC keep them off the offensive boards,UC will win,if Humboldt is getting a lot of offensive rebounds, they will win.

DM88 and Mboro,thats why I asked in my post, what AAU team he played with.Those teams you named play in front of the college coaches.I think also he would be at least a 4star. Whoever gets him will be getting a good ball player.

GCPioneer,I think that Bradford and Hubbs is similar.I think that Hubbs was a better shooter.Both are very athletic.Bradford is a better ball handler than Hubbs because I think he beats his defender off the dribble better than Hubbs.One thing I noticed about Hubbs and Dyer Co last year was the offense didnt run through Hubbs,it seemed that the first one that got the ball was shooting.Humboldt offense runs through Bradford and he has become a smarter ball player.GC, what AAU team did Bradford play on?I was wondering if he played on one of the big AAU teams,like Team Penny,Team Thad,M33M,Nashville Celtics.That maybe a reason he is not at least a 4star.I kept telling people from Memphis that be on Coach T that was talking about what Mitchell was going to do in Single A, that Bradford was better than Khalil Spencer. They didnt think so.I think Bradford is one of the better players in the State.

Humboldt not beating UC by 13 points at UC. Im taking UC by 7 at the Dome.Bradford will have 2 fouls early and it will hurt Humboldt. It will be close game.

What grade is the Rivers kid in.He has a nice game.I saw an SIU scout and a Shawnee Community College coach there.Lookingfortalent,what school do you scout for?

I said in an earlier post VikingAlum that Bradford will be up for Mr.Basketball and should win it.I was replying to Copenoc about Zay and Spears.I think Bradford is the best 1A player.

Spears was up for Mr.Basketball last year and Zay is known State wide because he been to the Glass House for 3 years and he getting back quicker.UC dont have anybody known State wide because of their lack of AAU exposure and not making it to the Glass House. You would have to average about 25-30 to get some attention.

Raven Fair named Tournament MVP and Jackie Hudson made the All Tournament team.

I got to watch Kenwood tonight in the Martin Lions Christmas Tournament Championship against South Fulton. It was the first time I watched Kenwood and the best defense in the State, NO. South Fulton got to the rim with ease and got what they wanted for the first 3 quarters.Kenwood came back in the 4th quarter and won by 2.I really like the team and the Norl kid can play.He has a nice jump shot.Who will challenge Kenwood in Middle Tennessee 3A and will they make it to the glass house?!

UC wont have a Mr.Basketball finalists this year Copenoc.Next year we should.I think 2 Mr.Basketball finalists will be from District 14 A, Zay Coleman and Deshante Bradford and the other will be Derrick Spears of Middle Tennessee Christian.Big game Friday night against the Bolt.

UC 51-43 over Livingston Academy to win the tournament.

Hall loss to Lee and Parkview this year.Those losses to Southwind and White Station were last year when they had McDonald's All American Bobby Portis,who now play at Arkansas. Should be a good game .Hall has beat Forrest City Ark by 11,who just played South Side 103-98 in 2OT at the Poplar Bluff Showdown.

UC finishes 5th place at the Poplar Bluff Showdown against some good competition. UC finishes the first half of the season 14-4,winning 8 of their last 9 games after getting the football players back. 1 district loss and sitting 3rd in the district,UC open up the second half of the season at home against Humboldt, South Fulton, and Lake Co. Winning all 3 of these games will put them into first place with only having to play Humboldt at their place the last game as they would have played South Fulton and Lake Co twice.I thought the win against BTW was huge because it could be a Substate matchup down the road.These first 3 games out of the break are huge,starting with Humboldt Friday night. Overall a pretty good first half and looking to get better the second half of the season.

SF is in that mix also.If thats how you rank them,UC beat BTW 70-65 yesterday.
