Mcneil is a baller and I like his game.I think he is deserving of him being a finalist, but Blackwell will dominate West Tn AA ball also.Haywood did a good job on him and he got 1 9-13 . Haywood only AA team that can beat CPA, they a wipe the floor with South Side.

That's what a lot of people in Haywood probably thinking the same thing as you as for as Mcneil and Vick when they played them Region and Substate.They probably thinking these guys want get no time at Western Ky and SMU.Big Mike, these Coaches see these guys in AAU tournaments and see the potential in these guys.As for as 41, he a red shirt to get strength and get better ball handling skills and may not get major minutes until his junior year.Also, there was a lot of people that saw Vanardo and Blackwell play in the Semis and their first time seeing each play and all the people I sat around said Vanardo was the better player.Thats one game they judging.I like Blackwell game and all the Mr.Basketball finalists.I think they all will contribute on the next level sometime in their college career.Some will play as Freshman and some won't play til their Sophomore.

Vanardo made a statement for not being a Mr.Basketball finalist this year.Outplayed Vick in Region Quarters, who for the most part of the game didn't have double figures, Mcneil in Substate, who finished with 7 points, and Blackwell in State Semis, who couldn't do anything with Vanardo until late in the game.Blackwell struggled against South Side last year also this same game last year.I think all three finalists are deserving, I just don't see how Vanardo wasn't a finalist after being nominated last year.He is on the best AA team in the State that was in beast mode at the State Tournament.

Deberry and Stockdale has been the best 2 players for UC majority of the year.Each on a given night would get 20-25 points.Simpson missed the first 3 games of the year and is always between 10-15 pts a night and the best defender UC has.He has been the best UC player at State and made four clutch free throws against Hampton to seal the win.Stewart missed the first half of the year with a wrist injury and when he first got back was out of sync and chemistry was off with the team.Then he started getting in rhythm and has made clutch shots for UC and lead them in scoring some down the stretch.Sisco along with Simpson are the heart and soul of the team and the best 2 defenders.Four people can lead UC in scoring on any given night.Deberry should be a finalist and a lot on here has only seen 2 games from him.If I had seen 2 games of him, I would say the same as you all.Deberry and Stockdale have been off their game some and Simpson and Stewart have picked up the slack. A sign of a good team.Mitchell has looked unbeatable up here and Martin, Echols,and Phillips are very good.I can see why people say they would win by 10 plus after watching 2 games of each team.Both have great Coaches and Coaching Staffs.Going to be a good game today.

Hicks and Barford did play last year against UC.

I'm not saying that Hicks can't play. I like the way he plays.He plays hard all the time on both ends of the court, sprints from rim to rim, etc.Im just telling the guy that said he didn't play last year that he played and was a non factor in that game with 4 points.

Congratulations to Marcus Deberry on getting an offer from Northern Arizona today. Freed Hardeman and UT Martin have also offered and some teams are showing interest.More to follow with the Poplar Bluff Showdown and the Mccracken County Hoopfest coming up.Also Malik Stockdale and Donte Simpson getting some interest.Good Luck fellows as I know how hard these guys work and how bad they want to play on the next level but I know right now their main goal is to get to the State Tournament and win a Gold Ball.

Well Viking Alum, I can see this being a down year.I don't think they will be making the Region Championship next year Only player returning that played a lot was Agnew.Didnt see anything for them to reload with.

Jalen Fisher is one of the best point guards in the 2016 classs.On the Future 150 site, he is the best PG in his class.

Yeah, it's a joke how nobody on an undefeated State Championship team doesn't make the All State team.

CPA was not the same team without Lindsey.We watched them Thursday night and the person I was with, said then that South Side was going to beat CPA. Blackwell getting his 2nd foul hurt CPA because he did a good job protecting the rim.South Side also lost Barford for about the whole first half.The MVP of this game was the job 21 did on Allsmiller.A great coaching move to guard him face to face.Allsmiller can't create his own shot.Mcneil shot the seams off the ball the whole state tournament and Barford and Hicks were really good.Outside of Mcneil making shots outside, everything else was in the paint and at the free throw line.

UC SPORTS FAN, you said the same thing about Jackson County and Clarkrange girls and that UC couldn't beat any of them because they played a weak schedule. LOL.I have to see it to believe it.I think Mitchell will be too quick and athletic for Goodpasture.The only way this game stays close will be because of the horrible officials.

Congrats to Mitchell.Both teams battled.Number 5 was a beast on the boards and seem like Mitchell got all the 50 50 balls.Good job UC, left it all on the court. Sorry for the career of Jamie Hyde coming to an end tonight,who did a great job running the team for the last 3 years.I got to meet Gaililee tonight, a very nice man that I'm glad I got to meet.TCA Intense was right, he was the guy that was Sharp.
