Congratulations Farragut! You guys have earned this and all the hard work has paid off. 48-1 is unbelievable. Jimmy, Steven, Michael, Parker, and Craig- I have enjoyed watching you throughout this season and knowing you guys. You all finally got that coveted ring. Once again, congratulations to Farragut, it couldn't have happened to a group of better kids.

Listen, the Bulldogs will be ready to play on Saturday night. They will definitely be able to get up for a state championship game. Farragut has never played in a state championship and does not know the atmosphere involved. Bearden also won last week in the Region finals to get inside Farragut's head. These two teams are equally matched, but Bearden will win on experience, coaching, and the play of the seniors(Herby, Vic, D-Rad, Spahr, Britton, Bobby). Bearden wins 3-2 in a thriller to capture state championship #3.

Yeah Opperman, the one stat that matters was Farragut 3 Houston 0. By the score it looks like Cobb did outpitch Roger Clemens today. That kid must feel pretty down on himself after getting all of that hype, having a huge audience, and then losing the game. Yes, the kid is really good; but Farragut is a little bit better. For everyone that doubted Farragut, me and Davy got something to say to ya, "Don't mess with the best, mess with the rest."

I think that Bearden is going out to make a statement in their game tomorrow. They are going to show everyone that they are the two-time defending state champions and are ready for #3. Matt Herbstritt scores two goals, Victor Upshaw scores two, and Dale gets the last in a 5-0 game completely dominated by the Bulldogs.

Does anyone know the final results in the AAA Decathalon. How did Tyler Kohlbusch from Bearden finish?

I have heard good things about this pitcher from Houston, but Farragut has three aces in Cobb, Waldrop, and Kelly. Besides, how many times are you going to be able to throw this guy in a four day tournament. It is going to take a lot of depth to win and I think that is Farragut's strong suit. Bring it home Admirals. You guys deserve this and have worked too hard not to win.

Bearden has a crew that takes care of the field, and they do a tremendous job. That field has improved ten-fold since the start of the season. That field maintainance crew could work in the big leagues, they are definitely top of the line.

It finally happened. It took 4 years and a 1 man advantage for someone to beat Bearden. Farragut took down the king tonight in a very entertaining game out on the pitch. There will be at least 2 and possibly a 3rd in the state championship between these two teams. These next games will be much more important than this one. I belive that it is a tragedy in all sports that referees, a third party, can virtually decide the outcome of any game. Someone that has no athletic ability whatsoever or has never even touched a ball in his life holds the final score in his hands. This was on display tonight for everyone in attendance tonight. There were numerous calls blown by the man in the yellow shirt on both sides. Although it is suspicious, I can't recall Farragut getting called off-sides one time. The fat ref on the far side of the field took away numerous opportunities and the 2nd goal by raising up his fruity flag. I have never met a referee that I have liked and I will stand by that statement. So the admirals finally beat us, not just in soccer but in anything. It was about time, we have owned you guys plain and simple. A blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. A broken watch is right 2 times a day. Trust me, #20 and the Bulldogs will be back.

Hey chunky, the bulldogs will win this game, bottom line. With the impetouous force of Herby and Vic they will not be stopped. Matt Herbstritt will show that he is the best player in the state and score a hat-trick. Sherman won't let the admirals score. If you want to we can meet at centerfield after the game and settle this.

Bearden OWNS Farragut. There is no way the bulldogs are going to let this one get away. This will be one of the biggest games in Tennessee soccer history, with of course, Matt Herbstritt stealing the show.

After reading all of these frivilous posts, I decided to put my input into this game. For the past 3 years Bearden has owned Farragut in soccer just like in basketball. All the admirals could squander was a tie. From what I hear this is Farragut's best team in a long time. But that does not matter. Bearden is inside Farragut's head; the dawgs own them. I also have inferred that Farragut's committee of keepers is no better than my grandmother. Once again the bulldogs will prevail. Matt Herbstritt will be the difference maker in the game with a hat trick. Bearden 4 Farragut 2. Herby might be the best player I have ever seen strap on the cleats.

Hey mocs I just put that out there for everyone who has been doubting us and for you who thinks that Powell hung the moon. Trust me, we did worry about Blount and beat them in a great game. My hat is off to Coach Baumann and his boys. We played four times and went to war in every game. We got the rebels tomorrow night for the ship.

Mocs30, it doesn't matter if Powell could beat Bearden 7 out of 10 games. In the playoffs it is who is better on that given night. Powell did not know what hit them last night. The bottom line is the jerseys have been put away til next year at Powell while Bearden will suit up again tommorrow night. And yes, both Paul Dickenson and Tony White are going to be very special players. Paul is a sophomore and Tony is a freshman.

Matchups for the Region 2AAA Tourney at Central are: #1 Oak Ridge vs #4 Farragut #2 Maryville vs #3 Karns #1 William Blount vs #4 Clinton #2 Powell vs #3 Bearden Games are on Tuesday night. I don't know the times yet. This should be a great tournament with 8 very good teams.

I did not make an excuse, I just made a statement. We're ready to go whip Farragut and get ready for regions next week. You can brag all you want when you don't even play. We will say who does better next week at Central.

Gov Man, thanks for the message. I am not going to blame this loss on them, but you guys got some fine home cooking last night. That is also supposed to be one of the best officiating crews around. We could tell which way the calls were going to go from the opening whistle. After the fact, yes we lost, we will beat Farragut and get ready for the region tournament next week.

If you attented this game you would not have the ignorance to ask this ridiculous question. Bearden displayed about the most heart ever seen in the 2nd half tonight. Being down 13 at the end of the 3rd quarter, then coming back and sending the game into overtime. The game was a lot closer than the final score indicated. We fouled in the closing seconds and William Blount hit their free throws. I will tell you this, Bearden is not done by any means and will make some noise in the region 2 tournament next week.
