  1. Bye 28 Indy 6 The Indy kicker knocks down a couple of fgs early, but all down hill from there. I could not resist!
  2. It appears the answer to the thread question is finally answered. Just got word that Kevin Dyson let the players know today that he would be their new coach. It appears to me that he should have made that clear last year when Campbell brought him to Indy. What took so long? I guess Eubanks saw exactly what was going on and made a smart decision. I applaud Coach Eubanks for walking away. Way too classy for the doings going on at Indy. Isn't Dyson the athletic director as well? Am I correct in saying that Dyson has very little high school coaching experience. I know he did some time at Glencliff before coming to Indy. No offense to Dyson, I do not know him, but does that qualify him for a head position anywhere? There was also a lot of talk in this thread about several guys turning down the job. I know for a fact that Donnie Webb from Franklin turned it down, so where did Dyson stand in all of this? Last resort? What does the indy nation really think about what is going on there
  3. SarahPalin "you mentioned coaching changes- Ravenwood - Was year one, and lets face it he did lose alot of key players CHS - Well under Gregory they never even sniffed the playoffs , at least coch M took them to the playoffs 2 years ago and again they were hit hard with graduation last year ie Scales QB BA what are you talking about no? Spring Hill - i think in 3 seasons thier old coach ( Army guy ) took them to playoffs once but look at coaching changes that are good - Anways BACK TO EUBANKS........ yes he is a good man no debate but again he was not a great coach, a good coach but not a great coach ... lets take a look - year 1 - inherited a coach Smith team that smitty raised and groomed since the school opened - the team Eubanks inherited was stocked and loaded - a franklin cowboy peewe coach could have guided them to state runner-up year 2 - hit by loss of many key players Baugh,Pettigrew,Consiglio etc - the team still was talented and even Eubanks in a preseaon paper stated they should make a run at the region title-the offense was a complete joke and you had to feel bad for Heckman year 3 - made the playoffs but only by default and the new TSSA playoff system - in region the lost to FHS, BHS,Ravenwood - beat CHS and Boro ( both 5A teams and very poor teams) I wish the best for coach E but a change was needed to take IHS to the next level and by watching coach E he was not that coach - Now present time, did they think they could get webb (we might have to ask hogan on that ) but my 2 cents is that they did - would it be nice to have a coach now? sure but IHS is making sure they get the coach they want, they shouldnt rush it just to fill the void- tell you what if i was a coach i would be a lil worried that the school is going to be split in a few years due to the new school being built in SOWILL CO." Palin, there are times where your posts make some sense then there are times when they make no sense at all and you tend to really reach for material to bring to this forum. I see why you chose Palin as your hidebehind name, every time she opens her mouth you never know what you might get. To touch on some of your "facts" previously posted: Ravenwood-They returned several key starters from the previous year, so they had key players to play with. Poll the raptor nation, I bet they were very disappointed. The families I know there were. Centennial-Your facts are skewed. Greg Gregory took the cougars to the playoffs many moons ago. I know, because I was at the game, moron. BA-Dont know the coach well, but those I know in BA land have never really been sold on him. Spring Hill-who cares. You make it very clear that you are not a fan of Eubanks. I can assure you that he has many more fans than critics. My time with Indy was during the building stages and glory year which Eubanks was a part of. I am one of those that firmly believe that Eubanks was the only hire for that job when Smith bolted for east tenn and it paid off. You like to make excuses for every program but Indy when it comes to disappointing seasons and why they were disappointments. You can get on here and say Eubanks was a good coach all you want, but I and many others know what he did for the Indy program and what he meant to it. As for where Indy will go from here, that is for the current principal to figure out. I personally fear the worst for them, maybe the glass half empty philosophy?
  4. Rebel Rousers, now that we know Webb is heading to BGA, what affect will this have on the rebs? My friends around town say this will set the rebels back and that Webb has been a key ingredient in their success. Is there a worthy replacement on staff that could fill his shoes or will coach clayton make a hire? Lets hear it!
  5. Neither...like northern skies outside of Tennessee "What is the great bluegrass state of Kentucky?" (I love jeopardy) If I remember right, the principal of Independence was once at Franklin and brought in Craig Clayton-Ky to run that show a few years ago. I have been told that the principal of Independence is originally from Ky as well. Last time I checked 2+2 = 4, so adds up to me. I really do not have a dog in the fight any longer since my time with Independence was a few years ago (amazing years by the way, which included that trip to Murfreesboro). I know many Franklin families and many more dislike Clayton than like, so not sure the first Ky import has been well received. I want to wish Coach Eubanks well. As mentioned, my time with Independence was during his years as defensive coordinator and head coach. Very good coach and great man. Anyone close to IHS happen to know what he plans to do?
  6. REALLY! There can't be that many resumes to rummage through anyway! Maybe one more than Hillwood!
  7. Ron Crawford is one of the best coaches in middle tennessee. My guess is that if he is in fact in the running, it will be his job to lose. I am anxious to see if the brentwood "pockets" open up and "persuade" him to stay a bruin? /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Cleveland fans, if Crawford heads east, you will get a good one!
  8. Congrats to both teams for making it to the end! Since I am more familiar with the Rebs, and have seen them play this year, I say they have a great shot at bringing home the gold ball. Good Luck Rebs! Williamson County is rooting for ya. Can someone from Oakland tells us more about the Pats? How many upperclassmen will be on the field for Oakland? What do the underclassmen look like for the Pats? They have come out of nowhere to be where they are this season.
  9. 3-7 and in playoffs? What the $##$#$#? Will the new playoff format that beings next year put an end to this sort of thing?
  10. Farragut! Maybe the best team in the east, if not the best team in the east! Nice season for the Hill, but the end is near!
  11. Golly Gee, I would say that a team with the most D1 prospects in the state on one team should clobber the daylights out of everyone they play, but, this is a prime example of a team that is very gifted in talent, but lacks the TEAMWORK necessary to utilize that talent to its full potential. Talk about under-achieving! Lets hear from the BA faithful! What is wrong? Maybe the BA faithful will provide us with their opinions, and I would be curious to know how they rate Potter's performance. I will just keep my opinion's to myself, for now! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  12. "along with the oncoming train that Centennial could be" Oncoming train? Not sure that Centennial is or will be "train" status for a while! /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
  13. Fan, I did as you asked and read your other posts. I have come to a conclusion, so here it goes. You seem to hover around in the Indy threads, you seem to share your 'observations' about the indy QB position, and that position only, and you seem to disagree with the level of play of all the Qb's involved except for the Smith kid. It is apparent that you were not a Cordelle fan, you obviously do not approve of the Heckman kid playing there, your pal sleeper even brought up the Martin kid from a few years back. To my 'knowledge', the only other QB in the program is/was the Smith kid. I am not sure it would take a genius to 'read between the lines' here and recognize your intentions or decipher your 'observations'. My advice at this stage would be to hurry in and register a new screen name to hide behind, because you are losing your 'cred'! It seems as if Indy might have some obstacles to overcome in 2008 with 'observers' on the prowl. Good Luck Indy Nation! Your team has risen to the top of the class in that tough region, so stick to your guns and leave the naysayers behind to dwell with their miserable selves.
  14. Everytime I visit the T to read up on what is happening in the world of middle tennessee football, I seem to always find something interesting going on in the Indy threads. Never fails! fan, you seem to "know" what is going on there, do tell! Preordained spring? Observations? Do provide vivid examples please sir/mam/whoever. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> Or, is this a classic case of an angry parent whose son is on the pine? I stand corrected, no more pine being used, most are of the metal variety now, gotta save the planet! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  15. HOLY COW....the Heckman kid can walk on water too? You can't beat that! /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
