There was something involved you can call it politics or whatever you'd like. Coach Thomas only nominated one of his players (Shootmore) and someon else nominated one. After all the BRILLIANT conversation among the coaches it was either put both of them up as one or chance neither Twilley or Stewart getting it. Now I ask, how would that have made the coaches of 8-AAA look. I commend KT for standing up for his kids and doing what was correct to protect them in that given situation. I still believe that when you look at head on head competion between the two teams, Shelbyville and CC, Williams should have tried to learn from the play of Stewart and Twilley. I'm not taking anything away from him at all but he is not the player the other two are. Last night in the District championchip game he had 7 points. WOW, that is not the least bit impressive. This reminds me of when Peyton Manning was beat out of the Heisman Trophy by the kid from Michigan and I can't even remember his name.

Tri MVP"S---can you say POLITICS among some of the 8-AAA coaches. Puts a balck eye on the whole process and makes the coaches look plain stupid. Game last night was nothing more than a hard practice for Shelbyville, CC did not have an answer for any player Shelbyville put on the court. Great job by all the players and coaches and to Stewart and Twilley you make all in Golden Eagle Country proud. Keep up the hard work and lets keep rolling.

From what JCBLUEFAN posted on Feb. 3rd, who in the world would be willing to step into the situation he described. Can you say CAREER SUICIDE!! Again I wish Coach Thaxton well and I'm proud that he is free from the horrible situation.

Congradulations to Barry Stewart from Shelbyville Central. A great honor for an oustanding young man. He is just a class act. An excellent ambassador for the city of Shelbyville. I wish Barry and the Golden Eagles the best of luck in the tournaments.

I totally agree with some of the other posts on this topic. You either vote Stewart MVP by himself or CO-MVP's with Stewart and Twilley. Just typical of society today- trying to please everyone all the time. No one will take a stand on anything. As I type this I am trying to justify the Williams kid sharing the award with Barry and Dequan. No doubt he is a good basketball player but I jus don't see it. Shelbyville 0 losses in the district and CC was 6-6. In head to head competition Stewart and Twilley ran circles around Williams. The last game in CC actually was boring, Shelbyville totally dominated the game to the point that CC fans could be seen leaving the gym very early. One correct vote was Coach Thomas for coach of the year. It has been proven with the TRI-MVP vote that the other coaches in the district are clueless Good luck to the Eagles and the coaching staff in tournament play.

Hey Fball, final score Eagles 64 the Blaze 47. Congrats to Coach Thomas and the boys for NOT OVERLOOKING ANYONE. The Eagles once again were able to play many people getting good playing experience. Looking for the Eagles to make a statement in the District tourney. Good Luck!!

I wonder if the people that fired Thaxton are the same folks that wouldn't hire Kevin Thomas to coach basketball, if so that is were the problem lies. It is the administration, both principal and superintendent. Obviously neither have a mind for sports. I hate it for Coach Thaxton, sounds like a horrible situation anyway. And the people in Shelbyville love the decision not to hire Kevin Thomas. Just look at our boys basketball program now. We certainly thank you for the stupidity in not hiring Kevin.

To the best that I can add and subtract 1585 pts. is WAY SHY of 1800 pts. What happened on 2/10? Oops go Blue Devils.

Wow, I can't believe there is no more attention on these two kids. Tremendous basketball players. Stewart just passed the 1500 point mark and Twilley is flirting with nearly 1800. Both are tremendous leaders on a good Shelbyville team. Good luck come tournament time Eagles.

There is one thing I know about "siegel" and "Odom" they got beat by "LEBANON" And by the way its "ProV1x"

I'm not saying class as in class. I'm saying class as in CLASS.. i'm not dogging anybody Odom is great as is Roper and Ramsey. I just know how partial hoolie is to the siegel boys. And just trying to give props where they are due. Onse again congrats to Odom. Great achievement.

Congrats to him, now he is in the same class as twilley and stewart....that is in points..well maybe not the same class but as in points.. Maybe I need to start a post for everyone who has 1500 points in their career.
