  1. You're just like any other Harpeth "river rat" I have ever met. You talk tough then when someone calls you out on it you start backtracking right away. You're soft, Harpeth is soft, and like howdoitknow2 said earlier your team is about to get killed on Friday night. Oh and I don't have to hide behind a keyboard I'll meet you anytime, anyplace, anywhere and let you know all about it as the Cubs bend your little Indians over the hood of a Chevy.
  2. You're joking right? Cheatham stubbed their toe against Creek Wood and deserved to lose that night. No excuses! Creek Wood was a hungrier basketball team. Waverly played at home with a chance to wrap up the district title and watched Cheatham come into their house and spank them. This was even with a totally biased official trying to cheat the Cubs the whole night. Waverly just isn't as good as Cheatham. The Cubs have better players, better coaching, better everything. 2 and 3 years ago were the years that you had a chance to get the Cubs. Since their kids have gotten older they have owned this district. If not for that Creek Wood letdown they would still be perfect in the district this school year in all boys sports. I hope 9AA is better next year because it's getting boring watching the Cubs mercy rule every team that they play in the district.
  3. F. None of the Above The person for the job is the offensive coordinator for a team that just went 12-1, reached the state quarterfinals, scored 579 points (44.5 points per game), and rushed for more than 5,000 yards (including 3 different backs with over 1,400 yards rushing). This person also played football at the college level and played at a high level as well with 36 consecutive starts from 2001-2003.
  4. I heard today that a coach who has been a very successful coordinator and who played at the college level has thrown his name in the hat for this job. I hope Whites Creek gives him a strong look.
  5. In Kenwood's 3rd year they did advance to the 1999 Class 4A State Semifinals. They beat Tullahoma (who was unbeaten that season), Pearl-Cohn (1996-19997 champs), and Whites Creek (19998 runner-up to Maryville) in the playoffs that November.
  6. It's hard to believe that Cheatham County is 18-4 on the last 22 Friday Nights they've played. 2 of those 4 losses came to CPA which means that the Cubs are 18-2 in their last 20 games vs "public schools". Coach Finley & Co. have built a very strong program that is one of the best in Class 3A Football. With all-district players such as Keegan, Sweatt, Wood, Newman, and Presley all returning and others who saw extensive playing time (Brown, Beamer, Morrow, Shelton, Jock, and Bennett) back as well the Cubs Nation will again have plenty to cheer about in 2013.
  7. Lee Atkins is his name. He was at Franklin County and Gibson County when he last coached in the state of TN.
  8. Cheatham County's football coach. He applied for the Hunters Lane job several weeks ago but wasn't able to get an interview (the top six all got interviews). I do not know whether or not he'll apply at Whites Creek. If he does then I believe he'd be a great hire. If he doesn't then I hope the Cobras find a good coach. I remember Richard Coure having a lot of success at Whites Creek in the late 90s.
  9. You and me don't agree on many things but this one we do agree on because the Cubs would have beat the brakes off of SP this year and may Roy cry tears on the pages of his Murphy Fair book hahahahahahaha!
  10. Spring Hill, Macon, Humboldt, and South Fulton were also open but filled. No word on Parsons-Riverside as of yet!
  11. Yes he did awesome at LaVergne after all...
  12. Hunters Lane Kenwood Goodpasture Ravenwood Independence South Pittsburg Cookeville Knoxville Catholic Cocke County Filled have been Obion County & Lebanon..........thoughts?
  13. 68-55......you think I'm joking but I'm not! If you can't get a record correct then you shouldn't throw out numbers! Also, it's not "Cheatum" last time I checked. Also, he went just as far as Rankin has gone each of the last 2 years with half of the talent! I would love to see Rankin coach at a rural area county school like that. Oh wait he did! He coached at Smith County and never went beyond the quarterfinal round of the playoffs. Put that in your pipe and smoke it son! Also, learn how to spell "Cheatham" before you are critical of a man's coaching.
  14. It isn't my argument but Cheatham beat Jo Byrns by 21 points in 2011 and by 35 points in 2012. Also Cheatham was in the state quarterfinals in 2012. You should brush up on your facts Murphy Jr.
  15. Who did HL hire as their new coach? Good Luck to the Warriors on their road back to respectability.
  16. I would say Cheatham County has an excellent opportunity to move over to this district and still compete for it's regular season championship next season. The Cubs return a solid nucleus of about 15-20 guys who have a lot of experience and should be primed for a big year next fall.
  17. Cody Finley should be their guy. 68-54 all-time coaching record at Cheatham County with 8 playoff appearances in 11 years. The Cubs had only been to the playoffs 5 times in the history of the school before he took over.
  18. He does deserve a chance to be in a better situation. All of the coaches in Cheatham County do in my opinion. Metro is a better situation in my opinion. Ask Tony Brunetti at PC has Metro been better for him. I assure you he would say yes. Finley would be within a good driving distance from his home and would make more money. He would not have to put up with idiots like he has with LS, DW, DP, TW, and now SC in Cheatham County. If Hunters Lane would allow him to bring 2-3 coaches with him then they'd be a winner right away. I would bet anyone on here this.
  19. CF? Wow! That would be an awesome hire for HLHS. If they land him look out!
