Ben Bottoms is most certainly not a top shortstop. When I watched a Ravenwood game it reminded of someone who was meant to play the outfield or something and needed to fill a position. Mechanics and arm strength are a joke and his swing seems no better than Ray Charles would do

in the topic, does anyone know the outcome of this game and who pitched for both teams?

Centennial had plenty of chances to win the game, they scored 4 in the 1st inning with 3 UNEARNED. For the next six innings Ben Johnson made easy work of the Cougars allowing only 2 hits while the bobcats rallied and scored 4 of the 5 runs with 2 outs in important innings. It is immature to say that umpires were the cause of Centennial's loss, It was a great game that came down to the end

Franklin plays Overton at home Wednesday at 6:30. Both teams with 1 loss in the district battling it out for the number one spot. Not sure whos throwing for either teams (maybe Johnson for OHS?). It should be a great battle with young shortstops Corban Joseph and R.J Rayborn who both had productive sophomore years. What are your thoughts?

Overton has 2 district games vs Centennial and Franklin on Monday and Wednesday and they went out in the championship game and had freshman in the field as well as a freshman pitcher. Backing out of a tournament semifinal because you have a district game wednesday is just plain petty

Oakland is a solid team, with the talent they have they could very well make a run for the state, Riverdale has also always been a good team and will surprise people this year

RJ Rayborn at Overton, started as a sophomore last year and had one of the highest batting averages on the team (.436)

Any ideas on who is gonna be the top contender in 11-AAA this season?

Riverdale will need to get extremely lucky to beat Franklin..if they werent in such an easy district they would not be in state.

Francescon had the night of his life..he could have beat any team in the state with the pitching performance he gave. i tip my hat to him

i agree, josh holt is far from good...its an improvement to call him decent. I watched him pitch earlier this year and it was not impressive at all. As for Overton, they run ruled ravenwood tonight 13-2 without throwing Goodenow.

Chris Sutherland pitched for Overton i believe...i could only make the second half of the game, but when i was there i did notice Ben Burgess gun somebody down at 2nd. But for Overton as always, Zach Hudson and Richie Goodenow absolutely drilling the ball for multiple RBI's.

Brentwood traveled to Overton today for a make up district game. Overton defeated Brentwood 9-4. Brentwood now stands at 8-2 in the district where Overton still stands undefeated at 10-0

it ended in a 1-1 tie...after the end of the 8th inning the umps got up and walked off the field and refused to play anymore..stating that in the tournament rules you are only allowed 1 extra inning
