Did the Pearl-Cohen vs. MLK game get moved to tomorrow? The schedule says that they play this Friday, Dec. 15.

McGavock beat Franklin by 34 pts. on Thursday. Hillsboro was supposed to play Maplewood on Thursday but Maplewood did not show up. Apparently, there was confusion on which team was hosting the game. MBA blew out Centennial on Thursday. Father Ryan blew out Independence on Thursday. MLK beat Overton this afternoon by 6 pts. Who won the Hillsboro vs. McGavock game this afternoon?

Hillsboro beat Franklin yesterday by 11 pts. Hillsboro beat Hume Fogg earlier in the week. I am not sure about Franklin's record but they also have played Maplewood and Antioch.

MLK and East Literature hooked up in a good one yesterday. MLK ended up winning a close one.

Clayton hit 4 more 3 pointers last night. Slater also played his first game this season and hit 4 3 pointers.

Caleb Clayton (Junior at David Lipscomb) has hit 11 3 pt. baskets in the first two games. He is on fire.

Just a rumor. CJ is still at Goodpasture. I talked to him 2 weeks ago at Goodpasture.

MLK will always be solid with Doc at the helm. CPA will definitely benefit from having Drew as the coach. Lipscomb will definitely miss Coach Pickens. He was the key to always having Lipscomb prepared and quite frankly able to overachieve.

14U AAU Nationals are over and the TN teams held their own. Congratulations to the following: YOMCA Tigers 6th place finish YOMCA Team Memphis 7th place finish Tennessee Tigers top 36 finish (eliminated by the 9th place team) Tennessee Travelers top 36 finish (eliminated by YOMCA Team Memphis) Of note, Shawn Carter Elite defeated TG Adidas for the National Championship.

Tennessee Teams fared well in Pool play with four teams advancing to the Championship bracket. Congratulations to Tennessee Tigers, YOMCA Tigers, TN Travelers and Team Memphis. Keep up the great work!!

YOMCA went 2 and 1 and finished 1st in pool play. They then lost their first game in bracket play and then apparently forfeited their next game (score shows a 0 - 15 loss). Grizzlies went 1 and 2 and finished 4th in pool play(only victory was a forfeit). They lost their first game in the Classic bracket and were eliminated. Thunder went 2 and 1 and finished 2nd in pool play. They lost their first bracket game and then won one and then lost again.

The Thunder finished 11th in Div. II. The Bearcats went 2 and 1 in pool play and then lost their first game in bracket play. They then won two games in bracket play prior to being eliminated. I believe that the Memphis Stallions were the highest placing TN team in Div. I. They finished 10th.

Unbelievable tournament. Just finished watching the 17U Houston Hoops Team lose in triple overtime to the Detroit Team. Of note, former NBA star John Lucas was in attendance to watch his son play point for the Houston team. His son is a very good player. He hit a long 3pt. shot at the end of regulation to send it in to overtime. Prior to the Houston game, I wathed the Murfreesboro team win in 2OTs. If you have not been to any games this weekend, you have one more chance. Semifinals and Finals in three 17U divisions start at 8:30 a.m. at Ensworth High School.
