  1. Congrats, LADY ROCKETS OF FORREST HIGH!!!! Jackson County may have been #1 in D-7A and R-4A but on March 11th 2006 YOU were the #1 team in TENNESSEE. And that's the only time that it has mattered this season. It was a SUPER game to watch on TV and it could have went either way...but it didn't. It went the way of the LADY ROCKETS!! I, like many others would like to have seen another GOLD ball come back to D-7A but that did not happen. The way you all made it thru the tourney no one can deny you didn't EARN your Championship. Your team and your town can proud of your accomplishment. You was not suppose to win and alot of people didn't give you a chance to win.....SOMEBODY FORGOT TO TELL THE TEAM AND FANS OF FORREST THAT!! THE 2005-2006 FORREST LADY ROCKETS ARE THE TSSAA "A" STATE CHAMPIONS!!!!!......NUFF SAID GREAT JOB!
  2. Likewise, I see your point of view as well. However it's like my mother always said...you know how it goes "if your friends wanted to jump off a cliff would you want to as well?" Maybe your Mr. Bishop wants to NOT be just like everyone else and be sure Forrest maintains its character as it is now not be just like everyone else. BUT...I can tell you from 4 trips to the finals I have made with the CLAY COUNTY LADY BULLDOGS there is no other game or atmosphere like what you are about to be a part of. And win or lose it will be a game your community and school can ALWAYS talk about. For the benefit of your group let this go for now and focus on your LADY ROCKETS. They, just like the LADY BLUE DEVILS need all your support today they can get. MAY THE BEST TEAM (TODAY) WIN!!!
  3. This is not intended as a "smart" remark.... Some people may feel it is inappropriate for a man to be without a shirt in public and especially mixed company. Have the guys paint white T-shirts and be as "SUPPORTIVE" as they want to be. The guys at Clay County do the same thing....But it is on T-shirts not bare skin. Most in today's society probably see nothing wrong with it. But there are some out there that do. Just a suggestion you might consider.
  4. (Forgive me but I took my post off the Forrest thread and moved it here!) Lady Blue Devils, Make all of 7A proud of you: #1 in D-7A #1 in R-4A #1 in TENNESSEE......Nuff said!!!! The voice D-7A is behind you...Saw you destroy Hampton in person on WED., Listened to you deny Summertown on the radio today..Will watch you defeat Forrest on TV tomorrow!!! GO FOR THE GOLD!!!! AND NOW..........
  5. I thought in years past I remembered being able to know foul situations, FG/FT %, etc. because it was flashed on the 4 sides of the Center Court scoreboard. That really takes alot away from staying in the game for fans. You have to remember what the PA guy said and forget about any %'s. They should flash that on the J-trons!
  6. There was death in the immediate family of LL
  7. Just the 7 in 7-A JC RBS Clarkrange Clay County Pickett County Monterey Hermitage Springs
  8. This was the first time I was back at MTSU since they have started doing the Jumbo Trons (showing live video) during the games. I couldn't decide if I wanted to watch the floor or the screens. I felt like it was a distraction for me more than a luxury. I would be interested in knowing from some of the players that have been on the floor in the past (Is this the 1st yr?) to know if it bothers them as well?
  9. WOW! I LIKE LOGICAL THINKING. NICE BREAKDOWN SUNSHINE!!!
  10. Since Jackson County and Clarkrange is Senior heavy, is RBS the early favorite and where will Clay and Pickett fit in?
  11. Hey Budman8, Hate to pop your bubble but check your brackets...Grace and Humboldt can't play in the C-ship game they are in the same bracket. That match-up would have to be a SEMI-final game.
  12. Clay County 66 East Robertson 51 12/29/05 - Nera White Tourney Pickett County 59 East Robertson 51 01/20/06 @ East Robertson
  13. Then this should be a pretty good match-up with Clay County: SR-Casey Ferrell 5'9" G SR-Jon Godwin 5'11" G SR-Saylor Walden 6'0" G/F SR-Tyler Kerr 6'"1 G/F SR-Dustin Rich 6'5" C Off Bench SR-Bobby Night 5'11 G/F SR-Jake Hewitt 6'0" F JR-Logan Goad 6'2" C
  14. I'm not sure words can describe what happened in the last minute of this game. As Clay County's announcer I have been Involved in several home Sub-State games(girls) and have done three for Pickett County (boys), but this has got to be one of the WILDEST, GREATEST finishes that Clay County/Celina has been involved in. I don't know how loud it was when Dustin Rich made his last shot but if there had been a decible meter it would have went of the chart! I promise you that is not stretching the truth one bit. Man, Temple does have an awesome team and they will be a team to reckon with next year for sure. Their players never got rattled and even the FR. (Sexton) stepped to the line and made his free throws when the pressure was on. Temple had a good supporting crowd that made the long trip up here and it looked like they were about to quite a very loud gym when Clay was down by TEN POINTS with 4:00 left in the game. It was so loud that the schools PA system could not be heard until after the excitement was over. Coach Wadley and ALL his players are a class act and they made a fine showing amidst all the wild people from the UPPER CUMBERLAND. I believe there were people from every other school in our district and region. I hope everyone made it back to C-Nooga safely. I know that it is a very long and disappointing trip back(have made it 3 yrs straight). Again, nothing but respect should go to the boys and fans and coaches from Temple. You have been nothing but classy in 3 yrs of victories and you were classy in your 1st year of defeat. Great Job DAWGS! NOW ON TO THE BORO!!!!!
  15. Wow! D-writer that sure brings back some sweet memories! Remember when Jeff had that weekend of games when they played back to back and finished with Bolton @ Tech on Sunday (I believe) and he score 95? in those two games combined!
  16. I'll say Clay vs Temple (4th straight) should be interesting with Clay trying to prove it can make a difference @ home. I don't think any other match-up has that kind of history!
  17. Yeah, I know. I've made that trip the last three years to watch the Temple vs Clay County game each time and it seems like a small vacation each time I go. Those are the numbers that your coach told Clay's AD as well. Safe travel wished for all (both ways). Also unlike some teams used to do back when Reg 4A went toward Nashville I can bet you Clay won't have you a small roped off area designated where you are to sit. Their feeling is pay the money and get there early and sit where ever you want to. I'll be there early, that 's for sure.
  18. Just curious, TSSAA alots half of the tickets (925) to the visiting team (Temple). So how many of those tickets will be used by Temple fans. In other words, how many fans from Chattanooga do you all expect to make the trip to Celina?
  19. Clay County actually has one of the biggest single "A" gyms in the Middle Tennessee area (1850 cap.). As far as my announcing goes, just visit the District 7A tournament and you can enjoy my work. Good Luck Clay County, Please play your best "RACKBALL" Monday night and finally "RACK" this bunch back to C-NOOGA. Hey I think this is catching!!!
  20. WOW! What do think about that...somebody on here thinks Devil is off the "fricken" wall?!?!?! I bet nobody has ever thought that about you before have they Devil?
  21. Well looks like District 7 will be represented well at the BORO!! Good Luck RBS and Jackson County!! Hope to see RBS vs JC (PART 5) on Saturday!!!
  22. Devil, just go with the flow. I like Clay's chances much better being considered an UNDERDAWG on their own home court. Just welcome the nice people in from Chattanooga and then show them some UPPER CUMBERLAND hospitality. Let Clay County fly right under the radar on their way toward picking up a GOLD BALL!!
