Chris Shiverdecker (Alcoa) was timed at a 4.3 at the LSU camp over the summer.

I'm tired of this UT crap. It doesn't matter if they offered or didn't as of right now. The fact is he said hes going to WV and thats it. Congrats to Kyrus. I very much hope UT gets Sykes. He has the ability to be one of the top DE's in the country at the college level. But I have a feeling that he'll be a Tiger or a Seminole. I wouldn't count out Georgia either. But who I really want is Chris Donald. He could start by his sophmore year. Another to keep an eye on is Eric Berry. A speedy corner from Georgia. He has family ties to UT so hopefully that will help.

Rankin is an outstanding coach. Reed's knowledge of football is incredible. Rankin is move conservative. I think that cost him last friday against Fulton. Reed was willing to go for more longballs and reverses. I havent seen one fade this year. With Reed he would throw it up and let the tall, athletic receviers go get it. If I had a Kyrus Lanxster at 6 foot 3 running a legit 4.4 and hops why not. But thats just not his style. Alcoa has a HUGE game in two weeks against McCallie and to win Alcoa is going to have to throw the ball more.

CAK had their starters in at the very very end of the game also.

I talked to some more people and they said that he is in Kansas but he can't play football. So basicly they send him to Kansas with a personal tutor. The reason is so he has nothing else to do but study since hes in the middle of no where. Its a pretty good idea.

Stewart has to get past Kenny Irons to be the #1 TB. He should still see the field a lot though.

I think Alcoa and Maryville could take all of them.(haha) Last I saw the East has come home with more gold balls the past years. You say East Tennessee only has Alcoa and Maryville. What about Oak Ridge, McCallie, Fulton, and Catholic just to name a select few. I mean seriously.

At the player profile it said he went to a community college in Kansas. I'm guessing this was to get his grades up so he could go to UT. I went to the community colleges web site and looked at their football roster and there was no Lindsey. Anyone know wheres hes at. Is he even playing this season.

Line I would say Ray Sykes from Alcoa. Back will be between Donald(huningdon), Shiverdecker(alcoa), and my last guess would be Hawkins at Loudon.

So RebelRon, I was just wandering what your thoughts were on the Alcoa-Maryville game last week.

Lets see. Your saying CAK can put up 28 on Alcoa's D that held Maryville "O" to only 17. Maybe if Alcoa puts in the 3rd or 4th string. The same thing was said about both times Alcoa and CAK played last year. And if I remember correctly the scores were 56-7 and 49-14. We'll just have to wait and see. I guess your also picking the Vols to win the BCS National Championship this season. I think your prediction is more CAK blood than brains. Alcoa-49 CAK-7

Tate is waiting for Norte Dame to offer. I say he will go there if he gets an offer. Donald in my eyes is the best in TN. Second has to go to Harrison Smith, Rae Sykes, or Tate. These are the top 4 players in the state. I don't think Skyes will go to UT. I think LSU, Georgia, or even possibly FSU will get him. But who knows anything is possible. I'm confident on Smith coming to UT. This would be a huge blow if UT doesn't get him.

BRIAN SOMMERS from Alcoa picks up Vol offer. Eventenly he was offered at the scrimmage on Saturday on an unofficial visit. He tied state record for INT last year.

Shiverdecker is pretty amazing. He will get a D1 offer. You can count on it. And Harrison Smith is a great player. But lets face it, hes not going to play RB in college. Put him at safty, wide out, or even possibly OLB if he gained some weight. Hes one of the best in east tn. Spectacular player and one of my favorites to watch. Rogan is also a stud. Has great footwork like Shiverdecker.

I guess I'm just the first to say it but i know everyone has it in their mind. George Quarles (Maryville). Theres a reason you get offered the offensive coordinator job at South Carolina by Steve Spurriur. The next on my list is Gary Rankin (Alcoa) who could also coach at the next level. I personally wish George would have accepted the job at SC. It would be kind of cool for him to coach Cade Thompson a former player of his from Maryville. Who by the way will be exceptionally good when he starts (which he will).

I completely agree. Alcoa is hated because people are absolutly sick of hearing about how good they are. And for those who don't think Alcoa can compete with a 5a school I dont understand what you are thinking. I was at the Alcoa-Oak Ridge scrimmage and it was pretty ugly. Alcoa was the dominate team tonight by a large margin in my eyes. I believe Oak Ridge fans would agree. Oak Ridge is a young team and they can only get better. I wish the best of luck to both teams next year. Lets bring the GOLD BALLS back to the EAST.

Many of you have probably know of the Oak Ridge-Alcoa scrimmage Tuesday night. I don't have a clue of what to expect from either side. What do you guys think will happen.

I was at the scrimmage and was not impressed with the play of the o-line early in the scrimmage. After a while it got better but its still not like Alcoas past o-line(s).

I herd that Booker T. is coming to Alcoa.

And Tennesse Doesn't?

Don't forget Chris Shiverdecker. Who's fastest timed 100 this past year was 11 flat if i'm not mistaken. Alcoa will have a tough time stopping Hawkins but with Rae Sykes(Blue chip) and Bart Hicks(Benches 425) leading the way it should be a win by Alcoa.

I think they help. But I also think that a size 1 ball helps just as much if not more.
