Yea thats why I quit posting this year, but was excited about the playoffs. Its the same thing every year. Region 5 thinks its going to be a sweep or 3 out 4 for them and it just doesnt happen! I just think the Tigers are ready for another run, this is their time of the season!

This is the part of the season that the Tigers have been waiting for! McEwen and either CA or cascade will be in the way for another trip to the quarters and possibly a third straight trip to the semis. I see a MP / Wayne Co. rematch in the quarterfinals!

Here we go with scrimmage scores again. We all remember how that ended up last year! If CA is healthy, Cascade better be ready.

Whats funny is MP averaged over 30+ points and close to 350 yards a game. Tell me what coach in Tennessee wouldnt take that in the playoffs? Anybody who knows anything about football knows that is by far enough offense to win any playoff game if you have a strong D. If MP's defense was just a touch better, this wouldnt be a topic. Everybody said the talent would get better deeper in the playoffs and it certainly did, yet nobody could stop MP's offense, the problem was not offense sheme, it was MP couldnt stop the other team. As far as coaching experience, I have none. Being a die hard football fan of all levels for many years, it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out than when a team averages 30+ points and 350 yards a game, it isnt the scheme!

You obviously werent watching the game sober. Nobody in MP has claimed Marco to be a great pocket passing QB. Everybody knows what he is going to do in shotgun, however his pass in the second quarter to JuJu was not ugly or a duck pass. He threw for a TD and ran for several more TDs. He did what so many of your fans said he couldnt do against the ALMIGHTY Rebels. Most accepted it and congradulated him on it. You cant get over it for some reason. Wow for a MP fan to side with a MP hater like Gerry Bertier is SAD very SAD. You probably couldnt wait to see MP lose so you could say "I told you so". FYI, Mt. Pleasant didnt lose because of the offense. Kevin38 was right on in that round 2 and 3 the MP defense came up with a big turnover to win the game. In round 4 it didnt happen unless you count holding Mckenzie on 4th down in thier territory. The bottomline MP defense didnt get it done. Thats not a rip on them as I know they played thier heart out. Mckenzie's defense didnt get it done either, but just a little better than MP's defense. There was so many differnt things during the game that if one or two things go a different way the outcome would have been different. Thats what made it such a great game. Great job Tigers! MP fans you just have to ignore these bonehead comments. They are coming from people who know little about football. Anybody who knows anything about football knows there is 11 players on offense and 11 players on defense. Not one man. Green Bay lost Favre and we saw what happened. The QB from West Virginia went down tonight and we saw what happened. When teams lose there leaders at any level it most likely results in losses. Like I said, people who do not know football cant realize this and likes to take cheaps shots when they can. As far as a Marco throwing a duck, when was the last time a duck was thrown 40 to 50 yards in the air. Marco made a great throw and JuJu made a great catch. Most Mckenzie fans have had class but I guess there are bonehead fans for all teams. Saying all that, great run Tigers and thanks for another great memorable season and hats off to McKenzie. You guys are a great team with class and wish you luck in the state finals!

MP defense played awesome and caused those turnovers. JB's QB just didnt throw it openly to a MP defender and the hit #5 from JB took by #30 from MP was a bone shattering hit that any back in the state would have fumbled. If we want to talk about points left on the field, MP left about 14 out there from penelties. So if you want to do the math then MP still wins by 3. Most of the time I agree with your post Butchie, but luck doesnt get you to the semis. You have to be good and beat real good teams. Some have to do it all three rounds, some just have to in the 3rd round. If you look at the braket Bigby, I believe Mckenzie played two teams with losing records in the first two rounds of the playoffs. I know its not there fault, they have to play who is put in front of them, but MP played a 7-3 team and a 10-1 team in the first two rounds. Saying all that, it doesnt mean crap when the first whistle blows Friday night!

Duckman, you are a class act. The bottomline is west tn has owned the semis against middle tn schools since the ABCs were bumped. West tn schools have the right to talk the smack, I just think it is MP turn this year and gets the monkey off middle tn schools back. I hope all practices from the remaining four schools are safe from injury this week.

I see what you are saying. Wether it was caused or just dropped or even if it was a bad pass for an INT, it is still a mistake. Mistakes this late in the season nobody can afford.

MP has heard this story for two weeks in a row and they keep winning. MP fans there is no need to defend it anymore, especially to fans whos teams would love to have MP offense and be in the semi finals. During the regular season MP had the targets on thier backs and although they won they didnt perform as well as they would have liked. In the playoffs (other than round 1) they have been the underdog and it seems to have lit a fire and MP is on a roll. So to all they nay sayers, keep up with the "one man show" "lack of coaching" "region 6 is weak" the Tigers seem to be feeding on it. My favorite word everyone who is against MP is "IF". If you stop this or if they used this, why dont you just say "IF" MP gets beat our team has a better shot to win the championship.

Great post. I agree totally. Where people say MP is overlooking McKenzie is a joke. The first two pages of this thread is South Pitt. vs. McKenzie. Just the way MP likes it. After the first round Cascade and JB had thier buddy times lined up. Then McKenzie and JB buddies had everyhting lined up. MP just showed up and played spoiler as even some of thier own didnt believe in them. Keep fighting Tigers. One game at a time. Take pride that you guys are a "team" and ignore the "one man show" comments. Those of us who have followed you all year know the truth.

38 after expierence the great class from JB, I'm not gonna fire off on ya to bad. You said this "O" couldnt beat Cascade and it did. Then you said it couldnt win a quarterfinal game and it did. Now you are saying it cant win a semi fianl game. I think it can. Marco had two great throws on 3rd downs to keep drives going. I think he only had 1 or 2 incomplete passes out of 6 or 7 throws. If thats crap on a stick, MP will take crap on a stick next week. To all of MP, McKenzie has already made thier reservatons to the "boro". They have wrote off MP because of the "one man show". MP has had to hear this for the last two weeks and MP "D" minus Marco has stepped up to make big plays. I mean there is even a MP fan writing MP off because of coaching. It looks as this team is a never say die team. They dont care what people say or do, they believe in their system and continue to put up "W" when a lot of people doubt them. Another great battle in the dungeon between JB and MP. Cant wait to see these two class teams match up again next year in the jungle. Someone said it was great to play a class team after what MP has faced this year. I cant agree with that more. I know I get excited on here sometimes and say things I shouldnt, but last night games put a big perspective on things. Tremendous respect and class from both teams. Now about the game, MP proved last night that they are not a one man show. Marco hardly played any D and we saw what they did. Corlew and #10 had huge games, and the Clifton boy gave big runs also. Marco is a huge part of the offense, but if the guys around him dont step up and have great games, teams like JB will beat ya. Again great game Tigers.

If you dont like what you were listening too, then turn it off. You have know idea what cascade did before, during, and after the game. The announcers were right by calling them thugs. Again you dont like it, dont listen. You dont even have to go to the website to even look for it. Now back to civil post that I have enjoyed reading!
