Got down something like 18 to 0 before they finally scored 2 free throws. Got within 9 by half, 6 by 3rd quarter, and then lost by four. Made for a cold ride home. Glad to hear from you. How bout them VOLS, bhhvols.

Not yet. We might get to play them again in the regionals. They might be better but I will not admit it, cause I am a loyal OC Rebel.

I think we beat ourselves the first quarter and then Westview the other 3 quartrers. I have to admit though that Rechis is good. But OC has some good ones too.

The Lady Rebels may be down but we are not out. Just gotta regroup and go out and beat Milan on Saturday night and then go beat the next team, and the next ,and the next, and the next ,and the next until we have no teams left to beat. Tonight just shows how difficult the district is. Enough said.

I want to echo the last two threads of sentiment. If all four teams bring their A game, then the atmosphere will be like the best final four for a state tournament, only on the district level. THis should be and hopefully will be a very exciting night of lady basketball. SO GO LADY REBELS! Do what you are capable of doing and play hard and smart. As this topic says, this is one tough district that I don't think can be found to be better anywhere in the state this year.

Who do those teams lose and were they starters?

Thanks for the wonderful memories, Rebels. Obviously the upset did not take place. But we do have a bright future to look forward to next year only losing one senior player. Rusty, thanks for the dedication and hard work that you gave OC. Job well done. Enough said.

Am surprised at the upset and especially the margin of victory by GC over Dyersburg. Congrat's to the Pioneers on their victory.

It's time for another upset in the boy's tournament since Gibson Co. knocked off Dyersburg. So OC Rebels, let's see four good, hard played quarters and upset Crockett Co. Wednesday night.

Two real good first round games for beginning of district. OC able to hold off upset-minded Dyer Co. Dyer Co did a good job hanging around. Real good composure on part of OC. Westview finally got it going in 2nd quarter in their game. Team playing the most complete game on Wednesday night between Westview and OC will win the District later in week over Milan. Go Lady Rebels and turn it up a notch.

Did her injury and being out of the game lead to the upset by Dyer Co? Does that suggest their bench is not that deep?

I am not familiar with the Westview players by names that much. Which one is C. THomas and what is wrong with her. Is that why Dyer Co beat Westview the other night?

I think it is great when players put their heart into the game. Both Jana and AB are great players and support their team and show dedication the way they have and are playing with injuries. I wish they could not have those injuries and hope they don't do further damage, but it truly shows their passion for the game and the type of dedication that they have. It must have meant a lot for AB to make the painful effort of playing her last regular season game at the Station and to play on Senior night. Thanks for the great memories Lady Rebels! Now go after that gold ball in the 'Buro.

Looks to be an interesting tournament after all if the OC Rebels can play strong for four quarters. Two wins in two nights will help the momentum of any team going into a tournament. Upset in tournament coming Wednesday night

I vote 13AA girls' district with the likes of Westview, Milan, & Obion Central in top five of state, and then you have Gibson Co and Dyer Co having upset Westview and Dyersburg & Crockett Co very capable on a given night of taking the win. I can't see a stronger district in the state this year.

Did I read the score correct that Dyer Co beat Westview 42 to 40. What is up in this district? Somebody give a report of this big upset.

Good game Friday night at OC in the Central Station. Almost pulled off the upset against Dyer County boys. I do believe the Rebels can and will make the district tournament an eventful one. Go REBELS!!!!

Not a fan of DC, but I was impressed with the callmness of the DC coach and staff. My wife and I were also impressed with the black pants and white shirt look of the coaching staff. Really looked sharp!

Dyer Co and OC had an exciting game Friday night. Much closer I think than most people expected. After OC rallying and plalying them close to the end, I don't think Dyer County will make it to the 'boro. They are good, in fact, I would like to see a game between UC and DC for it would be a fast paced game. But with them having played Dyersburg and OC close games, they are vulnerable.

Where does that place Milan in the district standings along with the others? Other than Dyer Co on top, doesn't that tighten up the district a little bit?
