  1. No kidding! Unless I'm mistaken, two or three of those starting "babies" are seniors. What are they going to be next year? embryonic patriots?
  2. ok. Your comments about bad or inexperienced referees coming from Upward do seem derisive, as if refs can't be good if that's where they've been working. No, you didn't exactly say that Upward is bad, but it certainly seems that you are putting the program down. --and I can read just fine.
  3. Try again. You must be looking at the girls' game. Grace men won by 3.
  4. Are you suggesting that, of all the people present in the gym, including Temple fans and officials, you alone know the truth?
  5. I'm not sure whether to boo you or thank you. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" That aside, I'm so tired of this "peaking" nonsense. Somebody brings it up every year. We all know that on any given night anything can happen. (That, too, may be a cliche.)
  6. Thanks for the clarification. Not a bad point.
  7. Humbling. How does it feel to be you?
  8. Just fine. Out of town for a few days. Don't get your hopes up. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  9. He is a sophomore and a really sweet kid. I have to admit, the game Friday night was painful to watch if you're a Grace fan. I know those guys can be better than that.
  10. So heartbreaking. This is why I pray so often for our students after a game. They're good kids, but they often don't have good judgement because of their youth. May God give grace. from Chattanooga
  11. I think we did determine that to be the case. At any rate, he doesn't represent the Grace that I know. You have to hope people will be intelligent enough to figure that out.
  12. This is all true. We at Grace love our whole team, but one possible reason everyone was so into the game was that we wanted to win to give Josh another chance maybe to play--at least that was on my mind. All the seniors especially have such a love for the game and a dedication to their team that we all wanted to honor their effort and see them on the field next week. I am proud of the way our young men conducted themselves and also grateful for the good sportsmanship from Watertown.
  13. Thank you. Josh is impressive, but there a number of fine players on this team. Everyone should keep your eyes open.
  14. So----Grace won? Can you give us some highlights?

    Temple

It's stuff like this that might make even me pull for Temple. Maybe.
  16. That's fairly annoying. Who made the all-tournament team?
  17. Who? Temple? Is it that Johnson kid?
  18. "several quarters"? How many games you playin'? /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  19. It will be exciting. Someone mentioned the depth of CSAS. I think depth is one of Grace's strengths--if I understand how you're using it. Grace has a very strong bench. That's something Temple lacks.
  20. This is a tad off-topic, but does anyone know what happened to Silverdale #10 Sat. night? He seemed to have hurt his foot or ankle pretty painfully in the last quarter of the Silverdale/Grace game. Will he be playing next week?
  21. I refuse to answer that. It's a team sport. Those guys don't need the pressure, either.
  22. Grace 65 East Ridge 68 Two people came away with blood on their face. What does that tell you?
  23. Well, we shall see. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
