  1. Yes it was a very close game. Sweetwater scored off a PK in the first half by Johnny Ameen and held the lead through the rest of the first half and into the 2nd were CSAS got 2 back to back goals. CSAS played a great game and so did Sweetwater. Good luck CSAS
  2. Sweetwater is coming off a hard fought road win against Grace and travels down to play at CSAS tonight. Do they have what it takes to beat them on their home turf? Predictions?
  3. Sweetwater held the ball 80% of the game and outshot Grace by about ten shots. Grace did a good job putting the ball away and Sweetwater just couldnt finish.
  4. I think that Sweetwater should be able to finish ahead of Boyd this year. Boyd is down alot from last year, they lost alot of seniors. McMinn tied Boyd and Sweetwater handled McMinn pretty good beating them 3-1. But in this district you never know who will finish up top.
  5. Sweetwater travels down to Grace tomorrow to play what should be a very good soccer game. This will pretty much determine who will be up front in the district tournament come May. Sweetwater is coming of a relatively easy win against McMinn Central on Tuesday; will they be able to beat Grace Thursday?
  6. What happened to Boyd? Why did they get taken out?
  7. Did you ref the game last night or were you just a spectator?
  8. Final Score was CSAS 3 Sweetwater 1. Sweetwater looked like the better team out there tonight even though they lost. THey controlled the ball most of the game but whenever CSAS would get the ball all they had to do was give it to #11 who played amazing. It should be interesting if these two teams meet in the post season.
  9. Yes they did lose Adrian but he has missed several games the last couple years due to injury. It didn't hurt Sweetwater too bad losing him, they still had 10 starters come back.
  10. Well that could definately work torwards Sweetwaters favor since they have a lightning fast offense they use. Even though I think the wet fields today might slow everyone down a little bit.
  11. ouch... looks like someone will be playing with a man down lol
  12. David Brainerd didn't look to great on gameday in Sweetwater. Sweetwaters JV was able to control the ball almost the whole game and ended up tying them 1-1. Silverdale did look good against Sweetwater on Tuesday they might be a team to watch out for. I am still guessing it will be a close game between Sweetwater and CSAS today. The game will be played in very wet conditions today too.
  13. they have 3 really good seniors this year.....and some really good jrs. Robby Gibson and Justin Branham is gonna lead this year in pitching. Along with some freshman Shane Cox and Josh Howard...and another freshman starter josh strong will help them in the field and batting. Robby Gibson led them last night in a win against tellico 6-2 and Matt Ellison came in for the save and only gave up 2 runs so the score was 6-4!
  14. CSAS travels down to Sweetwater on Friday to play in their first district game of the year. From what I heard the 2 teams are pretty evenly matched. Sweetwater is returning 10 starters and Im not sure if CSAS lost anyone besides their keeps. Please feel free to post thoughts on the game and predictions.
  15. I do agree weather def. was a huge factor, Sweetwaters first 2 games were also played in 2-3 inches of snow. They started out playing tellico sitting about half their starters ) sitting the rest to see how the bench would play ) and ended up winning 5-0. THey played Karns and got beat 4-1 ( Karns scored on 3 PKs ) and then finished up beating Knox Central 2-1 ( also with only about half their starters ). Johnny Ameen had all but 2 of Sweetwaters goals.
  16. Sweetwater hosts a playday tomorrow and then starts their season off on Tuesday against Silverdale.
  17. I believe that Sweetwater should be at least ranked in the top 30. They didnt lose any seniors the last 2 years and got a really good Freshman class in. They just came off a big win against Red Bank in a scrimmage this week. They might be one to look out for.
  18. Yes they did play. Sweetwater overpowered Red Bank. They controlled the ball most of the game. The final score was 5-2. It was 4-0 in the first half and JV played second half. Johnny Ameen #11 had 3 goals and an assist.
  19. It is at the Sweetwater High school soccer fields at 5:00
  20. Sweetwater has a scrimmage today against Red Bank... It should be a close game.
  21. CSAS plays Sweetwater next in Sweetwater. I think sweetwater has a pretty good shot at that game. What do you guys think?
  22. I know that Sweetwater beat them in the Sweetwater Jamboree 5-1
