That is why the player is the player and the coach is the coach. Obviously, many people thought of him highly enough as a person and a coach to do this job. Can coaches be wrong sometimes?? Absolutely. But Coach Stansbury is (or was) the man with the job and was trying to get a point across. He probably could have addressed this point with less emphasis but again I stress, he is the coach. That's why none of the parents were hired to assume that position. Take football at JC for example. Sure, Coach U probably did some things people disagreed with and was tough on his players. But it's called discipline and it's what develops a player physically and mentally. From what I understand, none of the players thought it to be necessary to complaint to the admin., only the parents. I could be wrong about that. But, if that is true, then to me that is a sign that the coach was making his point to his team the way he thought they'd respond to.

I have nothing but the utmost respect for Coach Stansberry. He is a class act that brings a passion to the filed not many coaches can rival. Like others have said in this post, I'm sure many other coaches from across the state could be suspended for the same thing. It's just unfortunate that a parent with no respect for him that appaerntly babies their child and gives him everything in life had to run their mouth because a coach got mad. I can only hope that the best works out for Chuck. He is a great guy and coach.

I think you're crazy based on what I saw in your post on Clinton. SD has never been a perrenial softball powerhouse and never will be. Face it, you're an average player on an average team that won't go anywhere. Start giving some people some credit. Once people see you are able to do that, you'll get some respect and maybe some positive comments about you're team.

Good game tonight. Two good pitchers but Story is just on another level compared to others in the IMAC. Was surprised at how well West swung it though. Some balls were hit solidly but not enough to do any damage. Good game despite the gale force winds. I agree with slasher. Story doesn't lose until he faces the heavy swinging Knoxville teams. Any other IMAC teams play today? Where in the world has Greenedevilmom gone to?

What happened against Central, JC? Who pitched? Errors? Offense? I'd like to keep up with the Morristown teams but neither has a fan that wants to enter their schedule and results. Cocke and Greeneville does and I don't know about Cherokee.

Are you sure you didn't pitch against him and not just warm up? And I think Jefferson and Taylor won that battle between you two. Just to clarify things. Both threw well. Jefferson just got timely hits. Ben did it a home run off Koeneman last year though. Best of luck to both at Milligan.

This is mainly for East TN teams that many are interested in (Halls, Farragut, South Doyle, etc.). However, other regions probably have the same problems. I know there are many people out there who follow these teams. Why aren't their schedules posted when they are such high profile teams? I, for one, can't be in many places at once and rely on CoachT to find out scores. So, please, if you're able, post schedules and scores.

I don't know if you were being sarcastic, but I couldn't agree more with the first rankings from "willwindistrict." Halls has yet to prove themselves, and I would put Powell in front of them based on games played thus far. Halls has beaten a single A team (Harriman) and I'm not sure who else. I'm sure things will change once everyone gets some games under their belts, but so far, I think the right teams were included with maybe some shuffling among them.
