Halls is looking a lot better than they were at the beginning and middle of the season but i dont see them being a state-contender. sorry. but it is baseball, they could wind up getting there.

Central (2-1) @ 7:30, Halls Elemntary School ___________________________________________________ Winner of Halls v. OR, sits in the championship and waits for the winner of West v. Central to play the loser of the Halls v. OR game. Then the winner of this game will be in the championship and have to beat the winner of Halls v. OR twice to win the district.

I heard that Farragut fell to the looking to be mighty Lenior City. Its tournament time and this is the one thing that matters. Is this true?

You should appeal it or something. Im not sure on how you would go about doing this but it needs to be done quick.

I agree. The best pitcher could come out of anywhere and you can compare those pitchers by speed and such, but you cant compare hitters. The pitching difference is HUGE. They occasionally get to face a guy like Minor, but the regular pitchers are a little under pitchers in AAA.

I love how you have an excuse for everytime you've been beat. hahaha. It doesnt matter that you blew a 4 run lead or pitched some kid that never pitches...you lost. dont make excuses.

You never know who will wind up there. This talk about Bartlett seems exactly like the talk about South Doyle last year and they didnt make it out of region. I dont think seymour will be in the mix.

I agree...whose field is under 300? I can only think of one that is under 300 but a bunch that are 300.

It could get your name on the scouts radar. and it also gives u a little bit of an "in" when trying out next year. I think it is a good idea for freshman to try to do this.

From what ive seen....they hit the ball...but not that good.

If Halls and OR go into the tourney a tie, the tie breaker is AAA wins and halls hasnt played many AAA teams this year. As long as OR doesnt get sweeped in their next two games (Karns and Campbell County) then they win the district.

Pop time is a term that refers to the catchers throw to second. You start the watch when it hits the catchers glove and then stop it when it hits the glove @ second base. When you scout, you might want to take a stopwatch and time that along with the pitchers delivery time to the plate. Those are a couple of the things scouts time.

Polk doesnt have a chance. Farragut had double digit losses last year. I know that some of those games, they had an off one and got beat by a weaker team.

I've always wondered who keeps score for Halls bc their numbers are always awful high...not to take anything away from these players, they are some good ones.
