  1. So the JCS Eagles will be traveling to Middleton Wed. night....right?
  2. Score on this one anybody?
  3. Congrats guys....ya'll worked hard for it. Keep it up!!!!
  4. Wow!!! The way this rain is going.....who knows.
  5. "You can hate on Lexington all you want." I think you have a warped sense of what hate means. If somebody disagrees with you is that hate....or is it just gheto slang you picked up from somewhere because you think it's cool? It's kinda hard to figure out what you're saying. You think thumping a freshman is a great accomplishment? I don't really think the rest of the Big Red Nation feels that way......give it up....you're making your program look bad. I don't think mickeyryan was "hatin" on nobody......just stating the facts as they are. Don't let it hurt your feelings.....the truth won't hurt unless it's meant too. I don't believe for one second the Lexington Baseball team gets on here and lets some of the things said on here motivate them into playing harder.....Coach has a better program than that. They do their work on the practice field and then go and play.....and it takes alot of work to be a great team. Same goes for any other team.....if you have your wet thumb up in the air to see what the popular opinion is and let that motivate you.....you might as well stay at home and click on the keyboard. In my opinion....both team got alot of stuff done the other night. There is alot of work to be done on both sides.
  6. I agree....Lexington is a good team. I was impressed with their hitting, speed, and the way they play as a team. Most of the kids I know are good kids.....and I wish them well for the remainder of the season. GO BIG RED!!!! Oh yeah.....congrats to senior Billy Keck on the shut out!!!! I am also impressed with the freshman Trevor Haggard, the started pither for the Eagles....yeah Lexington roughed him up a little but the experience he got starting in this game will be valuable to him......watch that elbow. Also sophmore Cody Jones coming in in relief.....fine job!!!! Also Chase Presley....I've watched him the past few times he's been on the mound.....this kid works hard and is really improving. This game was a good opportunity for some of these guys to get some good work in and it WILL pay off down the stretch for the Eagles. I thought JCS put the bat on the ball pretty well and put it in play.....we had some opportunities to score and just could get it done. Keep swingin' the bats guys......you'll find a hole. The Eagles need to work on the errors and keep doing what they do best....play with heart.
  7. I know this should be in the worst field catagory but here goes. My son played in a summerball tourny a few years ago up in Illiniois somewhere. It was basically a cow pasture with a pitchers hump and some bases. The outfield was up and down with a ditch running thru the rightfield wall and continuing thru right field, off the field and thru the parking lot where culvert took it from there. Huge 100 year old oaks lined the outfield wall with gaint limbs hanging 15 to 20 feet or more out into the field. The scenery past the oaks was of a very large 30's or 40's building that is a mental hospital, and about twice during every game they would load up a cotton wagon being pulled by a huge John Deere loaded to capacity with patients. They would circle the field about twice with the patients whooping and hollering at the kids playing ball. About half way between the hospital and the outfield wall was a concrete patio where the safest of the patients were allowed to sit during the game.....they yelled and hollered at the kids all during the game. The score board consisted of what looked to be a couple of sheets of plywood with hooks screwed into it so the guy on the ladder could post the results. During the pre- game meeting the umps would take the two teams coaches on a tour of the field....pointing out all the defects of the field....making the remarks that "It's the same for both teams." One particular rule was that if a ball hit one of the overhanging limbs it would be considered a homerun.....all of ours seemed to miss everytime. It was a hoot!!!!! Another great memory I'll never forget. Sorry for changing the subject. There are alot of really nice fields in this area......many have been built with the blood, sweat, and hard work (and one that I know of in particular...... some tears) of the booster clubs. They are not as fortunate as some to get money from local government or other providers......they simple do the best they can to provide year in and year out the best place they can to play the greatest game in the world. They will gladly tell you, "Our is the best there is." and I firmly agree.
  8. I'm sure that the main focus of the JCS Eagles this week will be the two games against TCA. The Eagles will be very busy this week and the Lexington game promises to be a good one.....at least it will be a good experience for them to be able to play a team the caliber of the Big Red......it's always good to play well talented teams. I'm looking forward to seeing some of my old friends.....see ya'll at the game.
  9. Come on people.....officiating in always terrible!!!!! That fact will never change.....it's the human element. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  10. There will be some threads locked up tonight......cars overturned....rioting in the streets......looting....WOW!!!!! Congrats DC!!!!
  11. Can you believe this!!!!!! 70----69 DC!!!!
  12. Boys and girls we have a game here!!!!
  13. I agree......seems like I've been listening to him all my life. He's good at what he does.
  14. She desreves the Bucket Mouth of the Year Award.....or is that the prestegious Ratchet Jaw of the Year Award? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> She is a CT addict and has no life. LOL!!!!! Keep it up young'un.....we proud of you. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  15. Hey Nate!!!!! What's up brother? You gonna go Wed. night? I'm thinkin' about goin' to see DC play if I can get off in time.....you know I'm a workin' man. If you still got my phone #.....call me.
  16. I for one am really dissapointed. I pray that Josh turns it around.....quickly!!! Josh had it made I guess in high school....he had many people within arms reach of him that helped keep him in the straight and narrow. There is alot of pressure at these big schools and if your not self motivated, disciplined, and goal oriented, you may not make it at that level.
  17. To the moderaters: Please.....let it go just a little longer next time......please. Open it back up so we respond to the one about God sending Union City and Manasses.....that was soooo funny. I'm sorry.....I'm not helping anything....sorry. I'm out.
  18. Very few times in the 5 years of existence though. It's the toughest place to beat a Bolivar team that is playing bad.....let alone one doing good. You can cut it with a knife down there......it is magic. I hate the place....it will be hot down there....much like heck for Giles Co. If you get out of there with all you brought with you.....you'll be lucky....very lucky. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  19. I haven't seen them play since the Liberty game.....sounds like they are peaking just in time. What about a Bolivar vs. Dyer County matchup? How many thinks this is likely?
  20. I was thinkin' the same thing......didn't they lose there last year? I may go down to that one....wouldn't mind seeing the Tiger play......for the first time in a few years I have nothing to do. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  21. If christians eat their own......what would they do to anybody else? But then again....we're not talkin' about REAL followers of Christ either.....are we? This stuff does get the best of us sometimes......I know it does me. There have been plenty of times that after a game I would have to look around and think.....did these people actually see me acting like that and what do they think of me now? Sometimes we do things jokingly and don't realize how it's coming off to others......that's me. I see it as a laugh and somebody else don't think it's funny at all. Perfect christians?.....Now there's a new one.
  22. I'll go a step further.......even parents are intimidated by these coaches. They learn very quickly where they as parents stand when it comes to their kids and other sports. It's a frustrating thing to sit and watch two coaches from opposite sports eyeball you downmuch like the mafia would over territory. They compete against each other for a player......they know what to say and who to say it around. Most of the time it can't ever be proven. Here's a great opportunity for the great tssaa to show how much they care about our kids.
  23. Bolivar over Creekwood by 27? Dang....them boys are doin' some down south jukin'. Where will they be playing that game against Gles Co. and what time?
