  1. Regardless of who it is that said what......this should be a classic game. I will probably be camping out over there to get a good seat......and something to eat as well.
  2. Sad to say.....all the above are true. There are alot of life lessons in sports....there are alot of lessons concerning discipline, commitment, etc.... But the actions of a coach or a parent can ruin it for kids and when the thing they love the most has been lost, they will..in most cases turn to things that can kill them. I've always tried to keep it fun ad do whatever it takes to make sure their in the best program possible. During the earlier years all a kid really wants to do is play pitch and catch with their dad......they don't always throw the ball were it needs to be.....big deal. My son is 17 and it makes me very happy when he asks, "Dad....you want to go throw some?" I miss those days the most.
  3. Still no cigar. I don't think it will ever happen again.
  4. Just checked it again......still don't work.
  5. Absolutely!!!!!! Congrats to Coach Burks!!!!! I'm glad to hear about this.....he desreves it. He will be a fine coach.
  6. Still not working.....disappointed.
  7. Again, we are dealing with a player who Baseball America chose to single out of the 38 and write a feature article on, simply impressive. However, the TSSAA has again shown its sometimes bull headed way in making a decision to rob a young man of a once in a lifetime opportunity. The TSSAA is beginning to more and more remind me of the NCAA. Instead of looking out for the athletes, they find reasons to knock the athlete down and in this instance ruin any future opportunity for any high school baseball player in Tennessee. A sad, sad state of affiars Absolutely!!!!!! An opportunity of a lifetime.....there's no telling when that will come again to this state. IT'S NICE TO KNOW THAT THE ALMIGHTY tssaa IS WATCHING OUT FOR OUR KIDS WELL BEING.
  8. I have a question.......Let's say a kid plays baseball for a public highschool and transfers to a private school. If this kid didn't play football or basketball in the school that he is leaving....would he be able to play on the varsity team in any other sport other than baseball?
  9. Send them an e-mail.....let them konw how you feel http://www.tssaa.org/IntForms/AnswerFeedback.cfm
  10. E-mail tssaa at http://www.tssaa.org/IntForms/AnswerFeedback.cfm Let them know how you feel.
  11. E-mail tssaa at: http://www.tssaa.org/IntForms/AnswerFeedback.cfm Let them know how you feel.....that's what it's for.
  12. Sonny doesn't deserve to sit out for 5 minutes......if he did play in this game, he's done nothing wrong. He's not trying to play behind the backs of the jack booted tssaa. The penalties are for those that have joined teams other than those sanctioned by the long arm of the law...tssaa. I'm not so narrow minded that I don't know what the rules are for. Sonny should be exempt.....along with anybody else the accomplishes what he has. Not jumping on you....just putting it into perspective. Oh yeah there are a number of things you can do and not get that severe of a punishment. tssaa.....a bunch of old people drawing fat checks. tssaa....do the right thing.....LET SONNY PLAY!!!!
  13. E-mail the tssaa http://www.tssaa.org/IntForms/AnswerFeedback.cfm and tell them you want Sonny to play. LET SONNY PLAY tssaa!!!! I will not put tssaa in caps......I would do it smaller if I could. Antwan......quit making excuses for the tssaa. Everybody knows rules have to be enforced.....old news. Kids don't need to be playing on other teams during the school season.....that's not what Sonny is trying to do.....get real. Sonny Gray desreves to play in this game......tssaa should respect his talent and get behind him and support him and his efforts. It would make them look alot smarter if they would.......they sure could use some smarting up. LET SONNY PLAY!!!!! tssaa
  14. That's a good point....however there are times in some peoples lives that special honors are given to deserving kids for the outstanding achievments. In this case some acceptions should be.....MUST be made. It's not like he's trying to beat the rules and play for a team behind the backs of the "Long Arm Of The Law" the jack boot heel of the "Almighty tssaa" I AM SICK OF THE tssaa!!!!! There long noses have pried into the business of the good citizens of the state of Tennessee long enough. Tennessee has become a laughing stock in education and will become the same in the area of sports. How could you boycott the tssaa? Name for me one area of the tssaa that deserves any mention of respect.......the tssaa is a joke!!!!! A terrible joke at that. Sonny Gray has made a name for himself. I've had the opportunity to see him more the once. He deserves to play in this game. And he also desreves better from the tssaa!!!! E-mail the tssaa and urge them to make an acception to this rule.......LET SONNY PLAY!!!!! I think you'll find that the entire state is supporting Sonny and his efforts and would be proud to have him represent us.
  15. I hope I live to see the tssaa replaced by something else. These kids don't need to be represented by the likes of that. Before it's over....Tennessee schools will rank at the bottom in sports like they do in education.
  16. I still can't get mine to work.....I've tried everything. I took the old one off and was trying to put on a new one.....It wouldn't let me do that or put up the old one.
  17. That's the long arm of the law.....the jack boot heel of the tssaa. I'm sure the tssaa would sit those kids down next spring. It's in their best interest to make sure that there is no opportunity for these law breakers to be allowed to play the game they love. Afterall....they know better than their parents and coaches. YOU MUST BE PUNISHED!!!!! The very idea of anybody having more than 5 players on a fall team.....what's wrong with you people. Actually I think that team wont apply since it's still under the summer team. But .....then again...where are dealing with the unknown. I don't know.
  18. These guys are gettin' it done. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  19. I don't know. I don't think I ever heard that during the introduction ceremony.
