  1. Hats off to Jo Byrns last nite, yall spanked us up n down the field. You have a huge team. I didnt realize that you were all that freakin tall. We had a very bad night, and you forced some turnovers and made great plays. I'm still amazed by the catch Reeves made after he got hit. That wasn't a soft hit, and he still spun off n ran it in. Good luck to yall the rest of the way. Hopefully you'll get to meet FC or S. Pitt in the Boro n represent our region well. We need to win out the rest of the way to get in the playoffs, and it's not an easy schedule. We have Eagleville, NCS, & Forrest. If we don't step it up next week, it's more than likely over for us this year.
  2. I really don't know what to say about our guys. Last week, they stunned me with 5 turnovers and getting goose egged by Jo Byrns 40-0. That's also after a 27-13 loss to Cascade. Eagleville has also taken a big hit from Cascade 57-23 and lost to McEwen. Both teams coming off two straight losses and both fighting for playoff hopes for teams that were predicted to be better than they've played. Who wins?
  3. The top 4 teams that have a chance at 1A state champ are FCS, So. Pitt, Mt. Pleasant, and, as much as I hate to admit it because they're such a big rival, Jo Byrns. I really would like to see it come down to FCS n Jo Byrns.. wonder who would win that?? Jo Byrns w/their "goose egg" defense & FCS tryin to let Rickaway n Markum run free.. just some food for thought
  4. Dude, Hoop, I'll admit he was out of line to say that b/c he totally ripped you a new one. I hope you get a chance to get on the field this year b/c it is your senior year, but no offense man, yall are rebuilding with the exception of Tico. This week will be similar to last week except for the fact that you don't get beat 64-6. It'll be more like 45-17. Good luck though.
  5. I can tell you right now that our guy that wears #16 doesn't trash talk anyone on here. He is one of the most laid back guys I know when it comes to trash talking. He doesn't say anything until he's on the field and has the chance to back it up. He'll show you how it is face to face and no other way. Snoball- Why don't you go teach Trousdale the proper way to defend a state title instead of gettin on here n worrying bout WHH or JBS?
  6. Once again, Goodpasture's Wing T offense will steamroll their opponent. I'm gonna say they win by at least 4 TD's
  7. This game is one I look forward to attending or playing, depending on the sport. In this case, I'll be there in support of our team because it's not spring. Our rivalry with Jo Byrns hasn't exactly been what you would consider a typical rivalry. It hasn't been a back n forth thing where each team has won a few. Jo Byrns has taken care of business when it counted the most. I can honestly say that our guys will be fired up this week though. There's no doubt about it. Our whole school gets fired up for the entire week we play Jo Byrns, let alone game day. It's this way for basketball and baseball too. I remember 2 years ago when we came up there and we were warned before school let out that there had better not be any trouble. It's a great rivalry for both schools, but honestly, if we don't bring our best A game yet, we'll be another goose egg in Jo Byrns' points allowed column this year. I can't wait for the game on friday night. I'm not gonna pick a score or anything, but I will say this, I'll be on the Heritage side pulling for our guys.
  8. Hoop, calm down. It's gonna be okay. There's always next week against whoever you play.
  9. Hey Hoop, no offense man, but am I sensing a tear coming outta your eye? You can't blame EVERYTHING on the injury bug.
  10. I hate to break it to yall, but we're not as over-rated as you think we are, just as you're not as under-rated as we think you are. We know yall will be a tough game. You will be just as tough physically, if not tougher than McEwen was 2 weeks ago. That was the hardest fought game that I've seen this year. I think this will be a close game, closer than you guys think. I'm gonna say 24-23 WHH, with another last minute miracle like we had in a few games in the 1st couple weeks.
  11. Last night was a great game. I'm not gonna deny that at all. I'm also not gonna say anything out of line, but I will say that there were some things that could've gone either way last night, and unfortunately for us, they didn't fall our way. It was the hardest fought game we've played all year, and it will be a learning experience. Next week we go to Caverna, KY, and we'll be back on task for that game. Last night was the hardest hitting game I've seen all year. Both teams were out to kill each other, so to speak. It really was a great game, even if I wanted the score to be in our favor.
  12. hey moron, we're not actually playin each other
  13. This topic has been blown way out of proportion. I believe the reason we made those shirts was to get our name out. It wasn't a bash at WH, and it wasn't meant to start any sort of stupid fighting between people who took the color change personally. We're the Patriots, so naturally we're gonna have red, white and BLUE. Our shade is different from yours. Whether it's the "new blue" or the "true blue" on the field on Friday nights, the TOWN, not just the schools and it's members and families, should come out in support. For real, how many other cities have TWO high school football teams playing EVERY friday night? Why does it matter the shade of blue or how much pride you have for one school over the other? We had to put out these shirts and get this "new blue" started because no one really recognizes us for who we are. The TOWN doesn't take pride in us, and the city workers brush us off to the side alot of times, not just for football games. We have smaller crowds because people take such a huge pride in the Blue Devils who have been here for many more years than we have. Maybe one day, Heritage will grow to be a big enough school so that the town can come together and watch ONE game on friday night with both schools and none of this non-sense go on. The entire town knows about a Blue Devil football friday. I encourage all of you who have been debating this topic to save your gas just this one friday night, and come watch our guys play. It's our homecoming and we're 3-0 for the first time in school history, even if it's a short school history. We have a sense of pride, and we realize we're not just people to talk over anymore. Stay home this friday night and watch as good of a game that you're gonna drive an hour to see. We're a very talented team, and could use all the support we can get, not just from our own fans. We're becoming a divided town, and there's no reason to be. If we really want this stupidity over t-shirts to end, we have to support each other. True Blue for New Blue and New Blue for True Blue. That's all there is to it.
  14. Jake, you crack me up, but sometimes I wonder if it's out of your stupidity or out of you're cockyness. I think we'll win, but 21 is a little bit high of a pick. I've heard alot of the guys and coaches say this will be hard fought and very close. I'm still taking us, but I'm not gonna say it's a huge blowout by 21. Granted, you could be right, but we have to play very well, which I have no doubt in my mind about us doing. It's homecoming and we're 3-0 for the first time ever. Plus if we win this, we have a great chance at going 5-0. I think our guys realize it's one game at a time, but seriously, how sweet would 5-0 be?? That would really get some true blue people talking.
  15. Finally, a little talk about the game. Nice change back to the original subject Gorski, I like it. I've heard that McEwen will be tough, but I think we'll pull it through. My pick: WHH: 27 McEwen: 17 By the way, who cares about all the true blue/new blue thing? We've finally got something to be proud of on our side of the city. WH fans have nothing to do with us, and we have nothing to do with them. Why be gay about it?
  16. Had to miss the game, but I heard nothing but great things about it. Another big win gives us a lot of momentum into our biggest test yet, McEwen, which also happens to be homecoming. We're expecting another big crowd & awesome night of football. Can't wait till next weekend.
  17. Last year, if I remember correctly but I'm not for sure on this, Goodpasture lost in OT b/c they couldn't control Tate. Tate is a great talent and all that, but Goodpasture is straight up raping people right now. I'm taking GP in this one by @ least 14.
  18. Last year, the Pats went in over confident after a 2-0 start and lost. This year, I doubt the same will happen because it's a home game, and our team is much improved. What do you guys think? I think we (WHH) win this one, especially after seeing Cannon Co. get whipped by Jo Byrns the way they did.
  19. Do we really have to go over this every week?? I say WHH wins this one, easy.
  20. Rickaway is a great back, but he has to keep his head on straight. I've been told his head can swell quite a bit sometimes.
  21. Dude, Hoop, was it really that funny?? Because I didn't think so.. Just messin with ya man, good luck this week.
  22. umm.. how bout this for a prediction.. Patriots win b/c we're a better team.. that's all there is to it
  23. I want whatever the good stuff you're smokin is because that made no sense at all. No one cares who Shannon is, all we care about is the game friday nite. Why don't you talk about that, like the rest of us have been.
  24. Okay, now let's be realistic here fellas. If WHH is an improved team, and we beat Sunbright last year on their field that had been watered down to make worse playing conditions than there already were, how can you even begin to think we wont beat them again this year??? Hands down, we win.. that's all there is to it.
