I think Alex Hutchins from webb must be a consideration. He's their leading goal scorer and better under pressure and in big games than the average frosh. Im pretty sure that brandon Tarr was the only reason that CAK's offense was so effective last year. He either was scoring the goal, getting the assist, or drawing double-teams all game long. If you'll remember last year they lost to a weak Webb team and got destroyed by Farragut w/out him. Nothing against the rest of their players, but i dont think theyll be able to keep up w/ catholics attack. catholic takes it 2-0/

Yeah, Crist just hasn't played HS tennis and Parks played his freshman year, but had surgery last year so he couldn't play. Is it too much for me to say that Crist is probably top 5 players in the state?

I don't think that those top 4 will all win. I think that Taylor Crist can take down Lang at 1 and David Parks owns Heflin. He has never lost to Heflin. So, I think that we would win 3 out of 5 singles matches(winning at 5) and that it would come down to doubles.

What is the MUS lineup? I know Lang, Heflin, George, and Griffin...What is after that?

Our six player is Trey Hatcher. He won't lose a match all season.

I don't see why anybody isn't giving Webb a shot at state this year. I've seen Baylor, McCallie, MUS, and MBA, but no Webb. Webb is loaded with talent with Taylor Crist, David Parks, Tadd Hatcher, Reid Walling, and Trey Hatcher. With the exception of maybe Baylor, Webb can beat any other division II team out there.

First of all Webb is the best team in the state with the exception of Baylor, but we hanve them beat in uniforms. Our number 6 player could easily play top 3 on any public school in the state. So to say that certain public schools are better than Webb is ludicrus.

I was at the game and would like to point out that tying goal by Cesar was handballed first and then kicked in so really webb should have won that game 2-1. But it was still a great game between the two. Maybe I might have gone a bit far in saying that Rico overrated but for how much he talks he might want to back it up on a more consistent basis.

More on the Webb-Bearden game. Webb played out of their mind for the second half, outscoring bearden 2-1. Webb's young defense led by coach's son, eric hultquist absolutely shut down an overrated Rico up top along with the webb defense. Bearden should feel ashamed of themselves. on a sadder note sophomore Aaron S. for bearden broke his ankle in two places. Scoring was provided by freshman Alex Hutchins and an unbelievable volley by marvin whittaker from around 30 out, freezing keeper brian walker.

why hasnt there been any love for webb? webb has a ridiculous three headed monster with three #1 players in taylor crist, tadd hatcher, and david parks. Plus with the additions of 3 blue chip freshmen, webb is a team to be reckoned with. This should serve as a heads up to baylor and mcallie.
