  2. My nominees are: Alex Black (Harding)- Finalist from last year. Marie Carpenter (Ensworth)- Big part of Ensworth team, Symone Daniels (St.Benedict)- 13 ppg. 13 rbs 2 stls. These are my three choices.
  3. Bulldog.....you got your wish St. Benedict lost to M.H.E.A tonight by about ten! You happy now! Missing three starters tonight was too tough to overcome. Missing players or not, this was a bad loss! But don't get to happy, because tick...tick... SubState and States are coming . Enjoy yourself for now!
  4. Amazing that you would cite the AP poll as anything other than a joke. Once again, JPII is not even listed which makes no sense whatsoever. They have already defeated two of the teams listed above. They have beaten both Father Ryan and Franklin Road Academy. If Ensworth and St Benedict were to play for the title, who would I root for. St Benedict hands down. Don't care where they hail from, doesn't matter. As I stated before, I don't post on emotions or polls but from first hand observance of the teams involved and it would take intervention from St Benedict himself for them to beat Ensworth. Oh, by the way, JPII defeated both teams on the road. NOW THAT'S FUNNY..... bulldog....LOL
  5. It's very hilarious that you are on the Ensworth band wagon this year! Tick..Tick.... get ya popcorn ready! I am not on anybodys bandwagon. The difference between me and you is that I am not into making emotional posts based on wishes and hopes. The hilarious thing is that you could think that St. Benedict could play with Ensworth if St. Benedict even makes it to state which is certainly no sure thing. I'm telling you, quit drinking that Mississippi river punch. Wow emotional posts....lol Are we getting a little hot under the collar! Tick...Tick...Tick

  7. Raquel played for Memphis Elite- Daniels this past summer (same team her teammate at Liberty Tech. Magnet Ann Jones 6'3" plays for). She is 6'2", long, athletic player who has a nose for the ball. Can shoot the three and is a great weak side rebounder. She isn't the type of player that will create much, but at the end of the game she has a complete box score (8 - 10pts, 8 - 10rebs., 2 -3blks, 2 stls). Because of injuries she hasn't played a full season of high school ball during her high school career. She can defend the 3,4,5 positions. If she stays healthy can be a good player for SIU. She signed back in November.
  8. Raquel Miller of Liberty Tech signed with Southern Illinois University
  9. A very good road win for Ensworth Ensworth-62 Livingston Academy-52 Father Ryan-48 Harpeth Hall-35
  10. Interesting out of region game tonight with Ensworth going to Livingston Academy. And Father Ryan at Harpeth Hall Games next week should make a very intense week of play. Tuesday BGA at Ensworth JPII at Brentwood Academy Friday Briarcrest at St. Benedict Saturday Baylor at Ensworth GPS at Brentwood Academy
  11. Alot of big games taking place. Father Ryan- 48 BGA-25 JPII- 53 Harpeth Hall- 39 Ensworth- 47 Brentwood Acad.- 25 Regional games are in full tilt!
  12. This poll is a joke. There is no way that St Benedict should be ranked ahead of Ensworth. Father Ryan number 10, totally crazy, JPII not in the top ten. Why would anyone give any creditability to this poll. Davidson Academy ranked below Franklin Road Academy, but Davidson has already defeated them once. Mo-Town stop drinking that Mississippi river punch, it is affecting your thinking. Of course its a joke to you, because your beloved team is not showed any favor. St. Benedict is well deserving of its ranking. If the Ensworth game was played anywhere other than Ensworth, it would've been a different out come. The Father Ryan game was a loss coming behind the Bigger game with Ensworth. But, that's enough talking.....time will tell. Regardless of what you post St. Benedict is #1. Besides all polls are subjective....its just this time.....its not in your favor . DEAL WITH IT! Clock is ticking..................Polls are Polls.....State Tourney is coming! Get ya popcorn ready!

  15. per Hoopgurlz.com "Will key pieces of NCAA recruiting-related legislation, due to be voted on for the men's game, set a precedent for the women's side? If the adjacent-state rule, which is up for a vote on the women's side this week, is any indicator, the answer is yes as legislation implemented for the men is later put in force for the women." Proposal 2009-99 will prohibit schools from hiring any individual who has a connection or affiliation with a prospective student-athlete within two years of the prospects' enrollment or two years after the student-athlete graduates or leaves school. Proposal 2009-100 will prohibit Division I schools from hosting, sponsoring or conducting non-scholastic events on its campus or in any of its facilities. Proposal 2009-101 will allow Division I coaches to actively recruit prospective student athletes and engage in meaningful and direct exchanges of information during camps and clinics. complete story at link below HoopGurlz: NCAA proposals and their impact on the girls' game - ESPN

  18. Wow, what an awesome game! Central look impressive, even missing Applewhite. The two young post was the difference in the game....to me. It didn't help that Rucker went out with the two techs.

  21. WHoa big fella-not so fast. Haven't seen Memphis Central but know the area and have alot of friends there who keep me informed and Central is NEVER far ahead of anyone due to the fact they will get outworked and coached at the st tourn level(see last year-when they were the best in state) plus have a track record of choking big games. Mowest took a major hit losing Goins. Mt Juliet is for real-they have dominated everyone by having perimeter scoring and one of the best post players in the state. They also work very hard, play defense, and are well coached. Riverdale is very good too-maryville is way too slow and has NO bench to compete with any of these teams You GOTTA BE KINDING ME! True Central is not far ahead of EVERYONE. There are some teams that will give them a run for their money this year in the Memphis area. But they are STILL ONE OF THE BEST IN THE STATE! Last year......give me a break. You call getting beat by a lucky last second shot choking(by the way that was their only loss in STATE!) Ya need to be informed better................YOU HAVEN"T SEEN THEM BUT YOUR GETTING INFORM....LOL. WOW! Get ya popcorn ready....
