  1. I think the thing not being told about Union City is that only Freshmen lift during last period at school. All upperclassmen are in an actual class instead of lifting. I'm not saying that the Freshmen don't make a big difference, but UC only had 2 Freshmen last year and neither started.
  2. I completely agree...well..besides the fact that UC still won the state championship last year. They won the district tournament, not to mention they actually just won a game in the tournament. How did sf and gleason do???? UC actually won a game in the regional tournament. UC lost to the No. 5 team in the state (probably No. 1 now). Union City completely demolished SF and Gleason during the regular season. Union City won 30 games again this year. Union City has 10 players that would be stars on either sf or gleason's teams. ....but if none of that "stuff" matters, then I agree that UC is no better than South Fulton or Gleason.
  3. Yeah..well, we can always count on you to get on here no matter if Greenfield loses or wins. Well, actually we don't know what you do when you win. Haha..I'm just messing with you.
  4. Well, in all fairness, they were the state champions and technically still are..because who else can say that they are? Union City is still the dfending Class A Champions, even though they are defending anymore.
  5. U ndefeated in the best district in tennessee (14A) N ik Brook= JOHN SALLEY!!!! I nstills fear in all opponents O ne player over 6'1 (and he doesn't play hardly at all) N umber one A team in the state C urbside!!! Who's side? Curbside!!! I love me some Golden Tornadoes T en players that could start on anybody else's team in the state Y oung. The best team in the state only has one senior!!!
  6. Well, all I was saying was.......I would take Pat Polk over Copelin any day of the week. I'm sure Copelin is better offensively than Polk, but Polk has better defense and he also is better suited for the State Champion Tornadoes.
  7. DWADE was just trying to make the point that Grace should have scheduled some teams to play that would probably beat them. .........Maybe they should have even scheduled some teams like Humboldt, Lake County, or Union City.
  8. Copelin had prolly 24 of his 28 against uc just on layups that occured because uc didn't rotate on defense. And by the way..pat polk can d up copelin anytime he feels like it..
  9. I have to agree..I saw him play against union city during the battle for the state at lipscomb. Union City scored over 100 on White House, so it wasn't much of a game. But Gaines dominated on dead sets...he just couldn't handle the running style that UC is so good at...but not many people can.
  10. Whitby/Sisco head to head...you can't really compare them just on this one game. Whitby might be able to out coach Sisco on Tuesday night, but over the course of the season Whitby will not be able to continue at as high of a level as Sisco can. (That's no fault of Whitby because he can't help it that Sisco is a few years younger than he is.) I think that Sisco is a better coach probably because I am around him more and get to see more of his games...but..Sisco takes the players and talent that he has, and he molds his style of coaching to them. He puts in the time and dedication to make his players better. He makes them good enough to win...and that's all you can ask of a coach.
  11. I totally agree...MJ is averaging over 17 points per game. He gets 6 and a half assists per game. 4 steals. Less than 2 turnovers. He shoots over 45% from the floor, and over 30% from behind the arc. He also gets almost 7 rebounds per game while being the safety for his defending state champion team.
  12. Don't count out Humboldt just because they lost to Union City by 18. They can compete with anyone in the state.
  13. MJ Brown is the leader of the Tornadoes. He scored on three straight possessions in the 3rd quarter that gave UC the lead. Obviously Cedric Allen was the leading scorer with his 5 3's and most of them were clutch, but MJ is still the X factor (not to be confused with the X man from last year, who got UC crunk before the game). MJ played every single second of the game, and led UC to a huge win to basically clinch 1st place for the toughest district in the state. (I say basically clinch, but who knows about Bradford since they have been beating everybody as of late......)
