  1. Williams got a head coaching position at a school where his wife worked..lol..has nothing to do with wells.. and about wells being a disciplianarian..ask anybody about the mimms kid...he had a bad attititude thouht he could do whatever he wanted and wells all but buried him on the bench his senior year i promise u ...crocker will do what wells says or he wont play a down... and who says he will even play...blackman has a decent returning qb that can run....and wells likes to run his qbs so crocker might not play anyway..cause from what ive seen he dont run to well anyway
  2. Who does riverdales website now?....I know Wyant used to do it, but he left.....I wonder if he is going to do siegels now. Most of the teams websites arent very good. riverdale and blackmans are prolly the 2 best websites...i prolly like blackmans better..it has a ton of stuff on it...you can watch videos from their 2002 team.
  3. You are correct. DC from Blackman, formally of Smyrna told the team this morning.
  4. Region 4-5A was VERY WELL represented...if anyone had any doubt about the regions supremacy. So many from our region started..that should be an honor and shows our talent level as well as the great coaching in our region. 8 of the 10 Region 4 players in the all star game started...IMPRESSIVE (3 from Riverdale, 2 from Blackman, and 1 from Siegel, Smryna, and LaVergne)...although im sure Sonny woulda started if he had wanted to play. East Starters Offense Left Tackle: Adam Smith (Blackman) Left Guard: David Spurlock (Riverdale) Center: Travis Lillianthal (Riverdale) Wide Receiver: Rod Wilks (Smyrna) Wide Receiver: Chris Gray (LaVergne) Defense Defensive Tackle: LaVarious Verge (Riverdale) Defensive Tackle: Montori Hughes (Siegel) Cornerback: Mauricio Wallace (Blackman) I want to congratulate these players again...they showed they were the best of the best at their respective positions. They are all great talents, but again this couldnt happen without the great coaches we have in our region. Glad to see Coach Shad representing the region on the coaching staff also. Great Game and good luck to all of these fine young men.
  5. Actually they did their research and looked at the last 3 years of freshman teams for riverdale. how many winning season have the freshman had since 2005? Drastically different from when they went undefeated and won every lions bowl during the rankin years. So with that research they decided blackman was the right choice...close with Oakland though...who has the best facilites in the county..but no HC...so they chose BHS
  6. How is this 1 game a step back? Blackman is a team 1 year away from going 2-18, when were they the team that was supposed to beat everyone..They went 4-6, beating 4 playoff teams. And they did beat Lebanon, which if i remember right beat smyrna. Blackman is a very young team, 2 sophomores starting on defense got hurt about week 7 which lead to freshman starting. Smyrna will be in the same boat as blackman..looking for a QB. Bryson will get about 40 carries a game...but next year that will be all that defenses will focus on...cause their is no more S&R connection I totally agree with wallace being out of position but he did improve a lot over his years at blackman. Again, if their are any good athletes out their that want to play QB in a spread offense come on out to blackman...lol Dont sit the bench somewhere if you think u can play.
  7. I would like to praise Blackman on a good season. Everyone said the Blaze were a year away but they put up a 4 win season, which was their best in like 5 years. They are a very young team of there 22 seniors i think about 6 really played. All 4 of their wins came against playoff teams, (Brentwood, Lincoln Co., Overton, and Lebanon)...So i think they have done well this year and have a lot to look forward to next year. Great job to the kids, and i think the coaches are getting the program where they want it....they have came a long way since that 0-10 season in 2005. I think the only position they will really need to look for in the off season is QB...so any kid that would like to play QB on an up and coming team...move to the Blackman zone...lol
  8. Great Coaches last week when the blaze win....tired of them this week? When you are a coach, you thoughts will mean something, but as of right now...quit your whinning...lol Negative plays and turnovers killed the blaze..they were inside the smyrna 10 once, inside the smyrna 20 once and inside the 30 a couple times....they prolly left at least 14 points on the field...I know you want to blame the coaches...but the coaches cant play for them.. and about throwing it deep...if you have watched any games...wallace cant throw the ball vertical..plus the outside recievers dropped multiple balls the other nite
  9. Im glad to see that disgruntled parents parents have somewhere to vent thier frustrations. Im sorry if you feel that playing two years gives you the right to start, but im sure the coaches are going to start the best 11. Why wouldnt u, if #31 was clearly better...he would play. And even if an underclassman and a senior have the same skill level, why wouldnt you start the young kid? The young guys are the future. Why was the brentwood coaches concerned about #31, how many TDs or tackles does he have this season?
  10. Thats why all the good young receivers should go to Smyrna, LaVergne, or Blackman or any other spread team. They put 4 WRs on the field every play. I noticed at the game, riverdale split #35 out wide...he looked more like a full back and was lined up at Wr to block...if i was a receiver at riverdale i would transfer NOW... Cmon be smart if you want play go somewhere where you are appreciated..or if you just want to sit the bench.stay
  11. 13-13 Tie...Blackmans offense only had the ball about 12 plays and scored 2 TDs..shelbyville ground it out and used most of the clock for their 2 scores.... and not to call people out...but you could tell the refs were in their first game also...some of the calls were crazy....they called a block below the waist on a Blaze defender as he tried to make a tackle..lol..it was crazy.
  12. I dont think anything sounds bad....a couple disgruntled senior parents voicing their opinion on here...every one has their opinion...so i respect that
  13. Im also an outside observer...those seniors have won 2 games in 2 years, those sophomore have never been beaten...I think u have to make room for those athletes....yes they will make mistakes, but i think u will give yourself a lot better opportunity to win with those sophomores. A lot of people forget just being a senior does not guarantee you play.....you must be the best player at your position. Why would u play a senior that u know is far less superior than a sophomore? Plus i think that the seniors that are really good are playing: #66, #1, #9, #57, i think #3 and #8 are hurt...and again im just looking at their website at the roster.. Again im an old DAWG with interests now at Blackman...just my observation
  14. From what i understand its going to be more like a work day with 1 on 1, 7 on 7, and a little scrimmaging.
  15. Blackman Scrimmages Franklin Co. at FCHS on Tuesday at around 4, and then Friday at 6:00pm Cookeville, Blackman, Bearden, and Oak Ridge in a four way scrimmage in Cookeville. I think it is at Tech.
