  1. Tommy is a great coach and proves it time and time again that he is ay ahead of the rest of the pack. Catapano will have some future barring injury. Too bad the Vols couldnt convince him to stay put. Good luck Admirals lets see you do it again.
  2. Hey FBE sounds like you hit a touchy one. Wondering is it all politics or lack of baseball knowledge? I would feel sorry for them if it was just lack of baseball smarts. I hear Maryville has more great athletes walking the halls than playing except for football. Wonder when they will wake up or maybe its all just politics and they dont care? How many kids have to quit before someone starts asking why? 11-20 is a joke no matter what district. It's time for a change.
  3. Halls is the class of the district. They could go all the way to the state
  4. Seymour They are well coached and strong with experience.
  5. Sounds like FBE let the cat out of bag and someone don't like it. If FBE didn't care he should just remain silent like the rest. Sounds to me like FBE wants success and knows the solution.
  6. District 3AAA is alot better than 4AAA with the exception of South Doyle
  7. WB SD and long shot Farragut to the regions Best coaches and pitching usually prevail in the district. The rest of the district is pretty sad from what I have seen.
  8. So far there are a few who are getting the most out of their talent but my vote goes to Tommy Pharr.
  9. That may be why there are so many bad ones....the "pool is too small" My advice open it up to non teachers and improve the quality and the training of the kids. And I am sure most non teachers could care less about the pay!
  10. Any thoughts? Sometimes it is better to not know better. If you know what I mean? It never ceases to amaze me. I wonder why the talent pool for coaches is limited to teachers? It certainly eliminates some of the best potential coaches and robs the kids of a chance to develop to their potential. The Athletic Director's need to start looking outside of their very limited faculty. Not to say you cannot be a teacher and a good coach. There are probably as many good examples as there are bad ones. It's just that the bad ones stick out like sore thumbs especially when the talent is there! I sometimes find myself feeling embarassed for these guys, but I am sure they don't realize anything is wrong. It's time that a major change occur in high school sports. There just does not seem to be the right accountability. Something is seriously wrong ....or am I the only one that sees it?????????? And I am not just talking baseball........................................
