Will LA, Smith, and Clarkrange all scrimmage each other, or does Clarkrange just play both? I didn't know if Smith and LA would scrimmage being that they are in the same district, just wondering.

How have the teams of 7AA been doing in scrimmages and playdays? Lets get some comments.

I wouldn't base a whole lot on a jamboree, and how can you not respect Satterfield??? Good teams year in and year out, no matter what class he is in. Couple of State Titles, I dunno how many exactly. But he is a great coach, as is Kelly. Good luck to both teams. I'd like to see Westmoreland win so we can come back up there. Good Luck Eagles

Jim Brown taught her well. Anyone who comes out of there knows how to play. He is a great coach.

The Smith County girls scrimmaged Clarkrange today. They looked pretty good at times, especially early. Clarhrange fell behind early by about 14 or 16, and played pretty good to come back and win by about 12. Clarkrange began pressing in the second half, and gave SC guards a pretty rough time. SC didnt handle the ball well, and it cost them. The big girl played pretty good, Clarkrange took it at her, and she blocked quite a bit of shots, and rebounded good to. Clarkrange played ok defense on her, about as good as they could. She has pretty good touch and a nice shot for someone of her size, and ran the floor pretty good. It was a pretty good game to watch.

As far as region tourney goes, I think 7AA should probably sweep it shouldn't they? Or atleast go 3-1. I can't imagine Smith, LA, or Upperman losing. I don't know much about 8AA girls. What are some thoughts about this.

You are right, I graduated in 05. They swept us last year and in 04. I'm pretty sure thats right. To the best of my knowledge.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying. 7AA is getting better, and I think this year, could be a turning point for our district.

In Case you didn't know zonepirate, glover knows everything about football, and everything else for that matter, but he is also the supreme authority on coacht. It's useless to argue with him.

Surelly he wouldn't but who knows. If they'll run a home town boy out, theres a good chance. I highly doubt it though. Unless LA finishes at the bottom of the district, which will not happen.

And believe me as much as the Eagles would love that. The Owls would love it 10x more. A second chance to redeem themselves against a team they should have beat. If we meet again SC will win.

I hate to hear this. Mccoin was a great coach, and like you said, just didn't have the horses this year to do anything. Everyone around the area knew that, I can't believe LA fans ran him off. Great guy, LA's loss. But you are exactly right about fans jumipng on coaches when something goes wrong. When SC loses thats all you hear. Unless its to Knox Catholic, or Fulton. Two years ago when we lost to Trousdale at their place, it was pathetic. Parents standing at the fence chewing out coaches, and even players. Maynord puts a stop to it though, he doesn't listen to anything. There was a parent saying stuff after the Westmoreland game, and Maynord took care of it pretty quick.

Westmoreland will win I believe. I don't know anything about Marion, but I know Westmoreland is pretty good. If they do win the first round, they most likely will not beat Tyner.

SC wins convincingly. Our offense has played well since the Westmoreland game. I know both teams we've played since then have only won 1 game, but still. Our passing game looks to be picking up, hopefully it will be a dry night. Good luck Owls. Smith County - 28 Bledsoe County - 0

Pretty accurate. I would probly replace Massey with Gibbs. Thats just what I think though.
