  1. League records are deceptive because most of these teams have played each other more than once and not all games have counted toward the official league standings... for example, BA has beaten Father Ryan, Ensworth, and BGA, but none of those games "counted." Anyway, this should be a very exciting region tournament.
  2. Was outscored and outrebounded by Brentwood Academy's Rob Murphy at Father Ryan
  3. Ensworth 65 BA 56 BA simply had a terrible game. They did not get into a rhythm offensively or defensively.
  4. ...i meant to say the top 2 in DII middle region
  5. ....and lots of gold balls. (several more than MBA, i might add)
  6. If you knew Chris Jordan's personal story, you would be ashamed of yourself for saying that. Same to all others along the same lines.
  7. 1. his comment was not "inane". 2. the BA D-line was never "picked apart". Every MBA scoring drive began inside the 50. 3. whether or not Tate ran for as many yards as Jordan does is irrelevant. Jordan's presence opens op the passing game, and he can be counted on to convert on short-yardage downs. 4. the chances of BA allowing 27 points are ridiculously small. that would be more than they have allowed in any game this season, and MBA's offense is far from the most potent on the Eagles' schedule. Good One.
  8. I believe the expression is "never ceases..."
  9. BA 42 EHS 13 not close.... YamRocks, anyone?
  10. If this is the final score, I will move to Alaska. and kill polar bears for food.
  11. trust me, he is. if you dont trust me, you can ask duke, who offered him.
  12. This is so true. Taylor's J is cash and he can absolutely leap out of the gym. I played AAU with him, and saw him jump from outside the lane, adjust to multiple defenders in the air, and finish with a reverse dunk over 2 guys. His ballhandling is sometimes weak but usually spectacular. He once dribbled out the clock against a very athletic Memphis team for about 2 minutes with up to 3 men on him at any time. They were 5'10", 5'11". He is 6'5". He is somewhat inconsistent, but when he comes to play, he is the closest i have seen to literally unstoppable. With work on his fundamentals and physical strength, I truly believe he can play in the NBA.
  13. Other than your admirable sportsmanship, you obviously know a lot. Were you watching? The D line struggled early and put the clamps on in the second half...... The BA offense was had a terrible night. High snaps, penalties, and bad decisions were all over the place. Because of this, MBA started multiple drives inside the 40 yard line, and yet the BA D held them to field goals. The one TD came when MBA started around the 30. And BA's D gave up less yards than their own miserable offense put up- 157. The D easily played well enough to win, but got no help from the O. p.s. Last Year: undefeated until loss at McCallie, beats McCallie for state championship This Year: undefeated until loss at MBA............
  14. very true. everything will be settled tomorrow night... p.s. bryson may well become better than bartholemew, and is in his league right now. (at rb)
  15. You are special. before the jpii game that ba didnt prepare for, they gave up 6 points per game. the d-line has over 40 sacks. their front four will each play for BCS schools. there are few people who say things that are simply wrong, but you are one of them.
  16. he missed last week's game and may play tomorrow.
  17. Haha yes that sounded terrible. Im actually not cocky at all, i promise. God gave me all the talent I have. I was just sick of the recruiting comments.but back to the topic, this will be one of the most hyped games ever.
  18. Thank you USA1. Someone has facts finally.
  19. Thank you Brandon, that is a relief. p.s. I am a 2-sport athlete at BA. I came my 8th grade year because it was a good academic school and because of its reputation as a great athletic school. Although I was a standout athlete in middle school, winning all-tournament honors on the junior varsity team as a 7th grader, I was never approached by any coach. When I asked to speak to the coach of my favorite sport, the only thing he said was to warn me that it would be difficult. I am now a senior and am good friends with many of the athletes who supposedly were "recruited". They have told me their stories. None were recruited, and I am extremely sick of that accusation. We have better athletes. We have better coaching. We work harder. We win games. Get over it.
  20. you dont know that MBA recruits, but you are sure that BA does? Please reveal your evidence. Because of BA's financial aid capabilities, unwealthy families with children, athletic and unathletic, are drawn to the academically solid, Christian school. Athletic kids always try to get in- they realize that they will play for a school where each athletic team is a powerhouse. Roughly one quarter of the football team is on financial aid. Of those kids, about half never see the field. When Chris Jordan moved to Nashville because of his father's job, he was told that the best opportunity to showcase his abilities and win football games would be to forgo the closest public school and attend Brentwood Academy. The Supreme Court case concerned violation of a TSSAA rule about inviting students who had already signed up and been accepted to BA to play football. Recruiting was never involved. You do not know what you are talking about. You and all the other accusers should stop talking.
