KGC Lady Pride 12U just beat Memphis Elite in OT in the semifinals. Don't know who they are playing! Go KGC!

KGC Lady Pride (12U) went undefeated in their pool and just won in OT as time expired to beat Memphis Elite in the semis. Only led in OT. Hit a 3 with .4 of a second left to put it into OT. Also hit a layup as time expired in OT to win 57-56! Way to go Lady Pride!

Not just under Graham. DB has done it many other years as well. 159-31 is hard to argue with. Name a better coach from the past you would bring back. Who would you get now to replace someone winning 80% of their games? Do you coach Pee-Wee football by any chance? Watch what you wish for.

He didn't "have to do" a eulogy. He did it because he was one of his best friends and he loved the man. It was an amazing eulogy. He is a great speaker and an awesome man. Tough loss.

Not making excuses for the coaching but Graham Clark delivered the eulogy at the funeral of his mentor and one of his best friends today, Tom Coughenour (aka Coach). Please remember, wins are not always what is about, especially at this level. He, along with Coach, philosophy of coaching is you coach people, not just games. What a blessing it is for DB Indians to have a coach of people like Graham Clark, one of the finest men I have ever met. Go Indians!

Lady Pride lost to Tennessee Glory 49-45 in tough fought game this morning at 9:00 AM. We came back and beat the Bobcats again by 30 pints for 3rd in the state! We heard Team Pride had beaten Glory by 28 the night before so we assume they beat them again today for the State title. Way to go Lady Pride!

Had to highlight from the quote above and make a comment - HUGE difference in organizations in KGC and Elite or Team Pride - we practice (10U - second in state) once or twice a week depending on what we are getting ready for. We have no "sister" team in our age range to practice against, our 14U's would probably not help our confidence any. Yet, we do as well as we do.....which to me is an amazing thing. Our coaches are exceptional and they coach with positive reinforcement and constant teaching. Our girls respect them and listen to them, with obviously great results. We aren't a Team Pride, Trotters, Memphis Elite type program as far as facilities, money, and area pool of talent. We PLAY HARD (our motto), with discipline, and listen to our coaches. We have great girls, parents, and most of all - GREAT COACHES who care about our girls. KGC!! Congrats to all the winners in all the brackets! We're going to Disney World!! /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

KGC won over Memphis Select 36-14. Team Pride won over Lady Falcons 49-18 I think, not sure on that final score. East TN Stars were winning 7-2 in 1st quarter over Memphis Elite, don't know the final on that one. I'm not going to offer predictions, I might be a bit biased.... /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />. Team Pride looks very tough. Memphis Elite has one of their best players in a walking boot and I don't know how long she is out. KGC!!!

Does anyone have tournaments for the Junior Pro teams in training league age 9-10?

We aren't planning on leaving the KGC Lady Pride AAU, just looking for winter ball until then. I think we have decided on Halls Junior Pro and I guess I will be coaching.

She's 9, be 10 in December. Been in Mike Capps program so I would probably rather not coach her and a team but will if need be. Anyone have any opinions on Knox Youth Sports teams or Christenberry?

Ditto here - what a great year for KGC Lady Pride!

We talked to Morgan and they lost. She didn't say the score. Great job Lady Pride! We are PROUD OF YOU!! KGC!!! BTW - they have the wrong PDF up for the 13U loser's bracket right now on the web site.

That's Taylor Mills! Bummer. All the rest of Lady Pride will have to step up now. #15 is Morgan Buda.

These girls are on a mission! Hope they don't get tired! Be a long day if they keep winning. KGC!!! Just heard Taylor Mills (#23) hurt her arm and is out. Makes it much harder for them now.

The forward for KGC Lady Pride nick named "Eagle" is very good! I can't think of her name at the moment and I should know it. So is Buda, the point guard. There are several very good players on that team.
