  1. Going with MJ, of course! I believe that both McFarlin and Hassell will get theirs. To me they are a lot alike, your not going to stop either one you just have to hope to contain them. It's ultimately going to come down to guard play and that is where MJ has Central beat, in my opinion. The loss of Jenkins in both scoring and leadership has affected Central tremendously. This is going to be a great game and yes, this is what high school basketball is all about. It's awesome to see how many good girls basketball players Wilson County has.
  2. My point was not to pick a fight... I'm just saying that no one should call anyone out on the message board! Just not the right thing to do and if you reread my post the "get over it" was not directly to you but to everyone, the rule is not going to change and MJ, as well as, Wilson Cenral have benefited greatly. I'm sorry I pushed your buttons, but I suppose the post rubbed me the wrong way!
  3. Here we go again........ Who even knows what Duncan is thinking by letting students, that have parents who teach in the system, go out of zone! hahah GET OVER IT! It's the way it is and the way it will be! I was legal and so is every other player and yes yomama my sister and I live in Lebanon, email me if you want the address and come see us!
  4. McFarlin, Gibson, and Pigue actually all have been 4 year starters. Each of them started as freshmen. Each girl has had a great high school career and there are not many girls that can say that they have won a state championship. Good luck in your final games of the regular season and in the post season. Let's win another championship and go out with a BANG!

    MJ gym

Congratulations to former Mt. Juliet Coach Tommy Martin. It was announced tonight of plans to name the gym after him. This is an exceptional honor for an exceptional coach! Again Congrats Coach!
  7. WOW! My body is way to old to be suiting up anymore! Good luck to the Lady Bears tonight. Hopefully, I can make it to the game!
  8. This is getting ridiculous. It is 2006, and MJ still owns the gold ball until it is taken away. Alysha is gone and is tearing up the Atlantic Sun, we are playing with a group of girls that have more heart than any that I have seen or been around in a long time. Polls are exactly what they are, opinions of others. I have never seen a game won because Joe Sportswriter says that one team is going to win. Each game has to be played. The Lady Vols are a direct example of opinions, and look at them now. Either get on the bandwagon or get off, number one will be decided in March. As far as homegrown talent.... That is seriously getting OLD. As far as I'm concerned if they are enrolled in the school then they can be part of the team no matter where they are from. Don't disrespect people who want the best for their children as student athletes.
  9. She had 3 knocked back into the roof of her mouth, but thank goodness they were able to be saved. Went back to the dentist today and it's going to be a long road to recovery, but she will be fine!
  10. With the ignorance that he/she is showing I sure hope so! Do yourself and your school a favor and stay off here.
  11. Final MJ 61, Central 44 Hate that I missed it, but I heard that it was a good game. Congrats Fryer and Lady Bears!
  12. Hey Sports24 get those grapes out of your mouth because I think they are SOUR!
  13. MJ won by double digits. That is all that I have heard so far.
  14. Hey MailMan-- DON'T EVER underestimate a McFarlin! (also learn how to spell!) Go ahead give her anything but layups and see how many she puts in the hole. Honestly I'd rather her shoot layups than 15 footers but since YOU know sooooo MUCH! --Ok now that I'm finished being ill with MailMan, I am taking MJ all the way. They are a great team with any of the girls being able to step up on any given night. They remind me of a well oiled machine and they make each other look so well on the court. Good Luck girls!
  15. Maybe the other teams should get better. That is all that the Mt. Juliet Freshmen are doing. They can't help the fact that they work hard, or the fact that they can play ball, and they especially can't help that your team isn't that good. These games are like practice to these young girls and I would say that beating someone by 94 points isn't exactly great fun. Anyhow it's not the girls fault and it's definitely not "CLASSLESS!"
  16. Clark might be the best thing to come out of Mt. Juliet in a long time! And her supporting cast is pretty dang good too.
  17. That is partially correct. The two coaches that have players on the team can coach their own players once school is out for summer. Or they can choose to coach their own kids while school is still in session and use up some of their spring practice days, I believe.
  18. Geez! That post was totally inappropriate!
  19. Congrats Coach Burkey and Lady Devils! Good Luck in the Boro!
  20. Congrats Bradley! I guess I will now be pulling for these black and gold bears since my MJ team got beat. good job Pick! keep it up!
  21. Hey mailman if you cry much more, you will drown in your own tears! Give it a rest! The game is over and MJ won the OT game shooting foul or no shooting foul and to say they didn't start the clock GEEZ!!! What is coming on CoachT and whining going to do about it? NOT A DARN THING!
  22. Fryer is a class act and he takes his losses right with along with his wins. MJ didn't play their best ball Friday night and Central played pretty well. MJ has handled this bump in the road, without Clark very well and that is what you want to see when such a good player goes down with an injury. If there is another MJ-WC rematch im going with the Lady Bears. Adjustments will be made and I believe they will get the job done. These two teams speak very well for Wilson County basketball, both teams will advance deep into the tournament. Good luck LADY BEARS and coaching staff in the Region tournament.
  23. I'm sure there are more people out there pulling for Shelbyville outside of Bedford County.
  24. The Mount Juliet Lady Bears advanced tonight by beating a good Smyrna team 47-41 in overtime. Good job tonight ladies! Keep up the good work and I'll be there cheering you on tomorrow night!
  25. If you are such a great Lady Bear fan then why would you come on here and talk about one of the players? Come on now! Maybe you are the one that needs to watch the games. McFarlin has stepped up her game with the loss of Clark and has been playing very gutsy along with the rest of her teammates. It wasn't but a week ago that she was at the hospital with a serious infection in her leg. You need to recognize who you will have to answer to when you start disrespecting any part of the Lady Bear family. If you would like to talk about this, you can ask any of the MJ faithful who I am and you can contact me!
