Giles players better have a short memory after last Friday nights spanking. Tulluhoma took Shelbyville down to the wire.CPA also exposed some holes in that defense. I think this will be a good one.

Tigers fall 31-25. It was back and forth until the final whistle. Very proud of the effort from the Tigers tonight.

The Tigers will definitely have their work cut out for them. I think O-line/D-line play for MC will tell the story in this one. The skill players for MC will give Indy fits. 20-14 Tigers in a really really close one.

Should be a good one. MC is really needing the work in the trenches. OL/DL play will decide what the Tigers can do this year. The skill players are in tact, so we are fine there. I haven't seen Lewis Co. in a couple years, but I know they had a successful year last season.Lewis Co. always has a good line. Lavergne should bring a good line and a standout WR. Starting QB for MC is out for another week or so. Do work Tigers!!!

@LBD your source is correct. While I still think that CPA & Giles are the front runners, don't count the Tigers out. Only skill player lost last year was the QB, and he was more of a running QB than a pocket passer. The source that I have on the MC team tells me that Posey (QB) can get the ball there every time. I believe in this new staff, and I appreciate them stepping up to the challenge. Giles county fans on this site praised Osteen and his knowledge, and so far so good. Marshall defensive and offensive lines will need work, but the skill players will be electric. #9 Walker will be a Sr. This year and has proven to be a threat. #4 Howard, #10 Pleas will also cause matchup problems. They won the 7 on 7 championship @ TTU against Pearl Cohn High school (6-1-1). The only loss in tourney came to Greenville.Marshall County has some tough matchups in the first few weeks. The outcome will let you know how good this team can be. Good luck to the entire district, and I wish you an injury free season. Go Blue!!!!

apsugov7 is Osteen a good hire? I wouldn't mind bringing Mac back either, would love to have all of that staff back from 2002. Great bunch of guys. Whoever gets the job will have my support as long as they are molding these young boys in to men. #MC

Aaron Pitts resigned as the Tigers coach yesterday. Hopefully the next coach can bring Marshall County back! Tons of talent on this team.

@MountainTroll I know a little thing or two about the wing t offense. We ran it when I played for MC under McCurry. Very effective if you run it right and built for a strong team. Not a lot of passing out of it. Thanks for directions. Hope it's a good one.

@ likearock Shelbyville loss out coached. Independence loss - bigger,faster, stronger. Franklin Co. - out coached. Cascade - we were the better team, but got out coached and they wanted it more. We led by 13 heading to 4th qtr. CPA- well they are coached to perfection. To break it down, we always get out coached. We run the same plays, never adjust, and are not very disciplined on the field. It's frustrating from the time when I played, but I'll ride with them till it's over. Hoping for a good tonight though. Wouldn't mind meeting some of y'all since I'll be at every game till forever it seems. I have a nephew that's a jr, one in 8th, 7th, and 4th. Lol. We have to get back to winning consistently. Lol

I just heard that Marshall isn't going to make the trip down to giles tomorrow night. Word is that they are afraid......NOT!!!!!! The Tigers will bring more than a kicker believe me. Gonna look bad when a freshman running back #24 goes off on your perfect defense. . Bobcat db's better be ready. #1 Stacey to #9 Walker & #4 Howard all night. See you guys there .

@Jacko yea it might be the same thing I wrote, but I'm glad I have you to research it for me. The little kittens are going to overlook the so called "horrible Tigers" and get smacked in the mouth.
