  1. Millington will be hosting Cordova tomorrow (Saturday 1-22-11) at 400pm with the boys game to follow. I encourage anyone in the shelby county area to come out and see two of the top underclassmen post players in the state in Millington's Tiara Caldwell 6'3" sophmore and Treasure Redding 6'3" sophmore.
  2. The Brighton in D Has been less than impressive for recent memory. What happened to coach Stowe at Haywood county?
  3. I agree mark! Craigmont is an athletic bunch with a lot of speed. Craft is getting better at qb and crutchfileld is a playmaker. Good luck Craigmont!! Make some noise! We will be pulling for y'all! Go Trojans!
  4. Go Trojans! It was nice to see #36 contribute in a big way on offense last week. That's the kind of perfomance we are going to need tonight. #82 showed up big on D as well. He along with #55 and #66 are all sophmores and should all three anchor the Trojan d the next few years.
  5. Thoughts on millington vs Lafayette co?
  6. Beating Lafayette Co will be quite the chore. They are the #1 ranked team in ms in their classification. Quite possible the best team we have or will play all year long. Our Trojans made strides in certain areas v Bolton but still sputtered in other areas. It was Great to see alot of the sophmores to step it up and become contributorrs. It speaks well for the future of our program. Go Trojans!
  7. Didn't see much home cookin myself. Alot of "volunteer" coaches seem to be getting upset over nothing at all. Go Trojans!

  9. not sure if he is the best rb in the state. The Young kid at bearden and Bryson kid at Smyrna are both really good as well. But, Javon is a heck of a player. He is only a junior, right? Go Trojans!
  10. Woodale is a very good team. I will be shocked if this game isn't a close one either way. Go Trojans!
  11. Craigmont could be a Very good team with a shot at making a run in the playoffs if it were not for all of the turnovers and penalties. Instead they are a good team that will contend for a district title and lose in the first round of the playoffs The good news for them is that they can fix it. Go Trojans!
  12. What were you watching? He had 130 yards rushing and 1 td and was a shoe string tackle by b.Wilmer away from scoring another one. I would say he hurt us. He is way undersized ( 5'7" 160pds) but is cat quick. I was impressed with the intensity that the wolves played with. If we could play with that same intensity it would make us a much better team. Go Trojans! Go Trojans!
  13. Its time to pull the plug on the Saunders experiment. Not only are his teams not compettive but he and his coaching staff has proved to be immature and an embarresment to the munford community. This isn't a one time occurrence.
  14. No we cannot run the spread. We need to get better at the things that we can do rather than worry about things that we cannot. Credit Cordova for not folding their tent and calling it quits late in the 3rd quarter when things went completely against them. They showed great character to steady themselves and fight back for the victory. Heaston was as good as advertised (he is a little dude though). #38 was all over the field on defense especially in the first half. He was one of the most impressive defensive players we have seen all year long. Go Trojans!
  15. I would like to see one of our Rb's step up and become the #1 option on the team. We have yet to have anyone step up to become the goto guy. Going into the season, I thought that Roland Genesy would be that guy. At this point he hasn't distanced himself from the masses. Travon Taylor, KIa Lewis, and Antonio Webber are part of that group. In my opinion of o the group needs to step up and demand the majority of the carries with his play on the practice field and under the Friday night lights.

  17. We Trojans need to be careful how we throw around the term "overrated" because it just might fit our team as well. Go Trojans!
  18. Cordova is a more than capable opponent. If we play the exact same way we played vs CBHS we will lose. Heaston could be the most explosive offensive player we see all year long, outside of the playoffs. Go Trojans!
  19. My Trojans have not won a game vs a quality opponent since 2008. There has been a considerable drop in talent at the qb spot since 2008. We do not ask out qb to do much in our system except make an occassional play when it is there. The qb's from 2005-2008 could do that while the qb's the last couple of years cannot. Beating quality teams without help from the qb position is extremely difficult. Go Trojans!
  20. Johnson isn't close to the top player in the state of tn. Adonis Thomas of Memphis Melrose is the top player in the state and one of the top five players in the country. Infact there are prolly 5 or more players in Memphis area better than Johnson. Go Trojans!
  21. That could be the understatement of the decade. Munford and raliegh Egypt are two of the worst teams in the Shelby metro area and Bartlett isn't far from the bottom five either. So, the jury is still out on our trojans! A win over cbhs would tell us a lot more.... Go Trojans!
  22. Have you even seen either team play? Go Trojans!
  23. when you do not offically keep score, like in the aformentioned scrimmage "winning" is a grey area.... Go Trojans!
