  1. Marshall Co. will play host to BGA in a scrimmage this tuesday at Preston Hopkins Field around 5 p.m....come out and watch if you can
  2. As for the chanting...well, that's one thing ..... but they do need to take a knee and show a little respect when a player is injured. Thanks to GC cheerleaders who did take a knee.
  3. Marshall Co. 42 Spring Hill 9 /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> WAY TO GO TIGERS!!!!!
  4. That's the thing..we haven't forgotten Hickman Co. And history doesn't really matter, this season does. Plus, as I said in a earlier post, MC wasn't playing well that night. Not an excuse...just the facts. If we don't play well this week it could happen again. So we NEVER forget! Go Tigers!!!!!
  5. Hopefully the Tigers continue to win this week. What are the thoughts for this game?
  6. I have to disagree about the coaching staff. Not only are they staying focused and preparing for the next game, they are also insisting the team do the same. And there are always let downs, even when we win. These coaches expect alot out of these boys and have found a way to bring out the best in them. Keep up the good work and GO TIGERS!!!
  7. Marshall Co has been doing great. They have really become a family again. It is a joy to watch these boys play football. Coach Thomas and staff have done a wonderful job. GO TIGERS!!!!
  8. Go Tigers! You guys are doing a great job! Good luck at Homecoming!!!
  9. Both Hickman and Columbia were tough teams, but it was Marshall Co that was off when they played Hickman Co...Best of luck with all teams
  10. I stand corrected...it was the sophomore class...the seniors of that year weren't included, the juniors didn't support it and the freshman were coerced! Thanks for clearing that up. Of course I don't think that what WJ did at Stratford caused him to resign..or to be asked to resign. I've read about him cheating and other things at Stratford. He seemed to be a nice, respectful man while he was here.
  11. Are you sure you heard the whole story about that petition? First of all, there were actually only a few players who really wanted Mac out. The others were coerced into signing and that was proven when they were individually asked. (My son was pressured by the upperclassmen but was one of the few who actually stood up and refused to sign the petition) I personally don't think he was losing control of the program, but that's just my opinion. As far as "crazy", well, alot of coaches get a little "crazy" on the sidelines. He really got into the games. It was actually entertaining at times!(ha ha) We miss him. Coach Johnson resigning was a shock to his players, despite the losing season. I don't know, or care, what he did at his old school, he treated these boys well. We can only hope that whoever we get comes in and lifts the spirit of these young men. Who knows...maybe he'll last 3 years! Best of luck to all young men who work so hard to represent their school!
  12. I still think it's "political", but if you disagree I'd like to know what your opinion is...It's split here in l'burg. Why did Mac go? We were a winning team with him. I do NOT believe for one second that he was fired over "condescending remarks" to our players. It was also said that our team needed to "go in another direction"....well, we did: A LOSING ONE! Why is Johnson gone? Coaches have losing seasons in other counties and manage to keep their job! I am just tired of the whole mess to be honest with you. These boys get so attached to their coaches and this hits them very hard. To me THEY are what it's about...and I think that THEY are the ones losing out. Stay strong Tigers..We stand behind you all the way! Good luck next year!!
  13. GREAT POST! We feel really bad for Coach Johnson, he is a very nice man. But you are correct about what happened two years ago...they BLEW it! So here we are again searching for Mr. Perfect. Poor boys, they get so attatched to these coaches, just to have them ripped away. But that's "politics" in L'Burg! I just hope you know that not all of MC agrees with what's happening over here. And yes, I am from Lewisburg...born and raised.
  14. Hightower is fine..no staph. We thought he broke his arm Friday night, but that turned out okay as well. Cavalla O'neal did play Friday night.
  15. He must be fine.....I saw him at the school today. Surely he wouldn't be allowed at school if it was inded a staph infection. Must have ben a false alarm.
