Really excited about Friday night I have been watching the Wolverines week in and week out and I must say the Oline has gotten better each week the stats show it Week 0 vs. Blackman 62 yard rushing Week 1 vs. a horrible Hillwood 197 yards rushing Week 2 vs. number 6 in the state Oakland 113 yards rushing Week 3 vs playoff contender Antioch 144 yards rushing. So I think thats proof enough to say there has been improvment up front and its only going to get better they have been making changes and working hard at practice the exciting thing is that all with the exception of two will be back next year. have been around LaVergne for 10 years this is the most excited I have been in a long time about Wolverine Football the future is bright in L-TOWN.

Booker still out but he is rehabing with our electrifying trainer.. I must say I have a good feeling this week spent some time at practice yesterday all is well in wolverine land expect big things this week from Ryan McBee seems as if when a big play has been made by the Wolverines this season McBee has been on the scene.

We did get word from the TSSAA Marcus is eligible. His ankle is still bothering him so I guess he is questionable for Fridays game. And people Im not saying Marcus is going to change our season Im just saying he will create matchup problems for teams because he is a incredible athlete. Coach Hester says he doesnt want him to play unless he is 100% with it being his first action of the season.

There is no truth to this rumor. We are still awaiting word from TSSAA. Look man this thread is not here for you to start up a bunch of Hog Wash some of us take this Forum pretty serious. The coaches and players work to hard for you to just stir up a bunch of lies. Marcus is just excited about playing we dont need premature assumptions.

Yes LaVergne did beat Hillwood. It is very possible Booker will be eligible for the Antioch game we have all his transcripts in we are just awaiting word from the TSSAA. From what I have seen Antioch is very athletic and has big play potential. But I think the Wolverines learned some valuable lessons Friday and will prevail 26-10. I expect a big night from Booker if eligible if not look for Grooms to have a big night throwing the ball to big time players Moore and McBee. Exciting time for the Wolverines lots of youth attempting to get better every week.

It would be great if our new transfer Marcus Booker would be ruled eligible. He could be a big time player. I dont think he will be eligible this week but maybe next.

Last week was a complete fluke LaVergne did not play to up to their potenial IMO they are a shoe in for the playoffs and a serious contender to represent the east in the Blue Cross Bowl. So fair warning to all you Hilltopper fans if your granny lives in West Meade to move because the Wolverine are coming to burn her house down. First off I would like to start by saying hats off to Beech's baseball team for having a great season and good luck in the district 9AAA championship. Now that I have got that out of the way, Ive been to several high school sporting events in my time and what I saw last night was the most classless thing Ive ever seen. In leftfield they have a aprox.25 ft tall chain link fence that students sit behind and watch the game while sitting in the bed of there trucks, I like the idea I really do its different and and makes for a neat high school atmosphere if the kids wana honk thier horns or rev up thier engines when a fellow classmate of their hits a dinger or makes a great play Hey! I'm all for that thats cool but please stop it there. What was happening last night was disturbing they were yelling obseen remarks to the outfielder calling him names threatening him telling him "see you after the game" I mean when does it stop? Finally our Centerfielder goes over there then Coach Williams comes out now the people from Beech instead of admitting that the kids are wrong want to say and I quote "tell your outfielder to pay attention to the game and not the kids outside the fence" or " coach dont complain because your team is not any good" How about this get the kids off the hilll they were wrong stop ignoring it this is a disgrace to high school athletics. I'll tell you this right now you guys have a great team with a chance to go far but I believe there is a way to act when you win and way to act when you lose Guess What Beech fans there is not much difference in either one of them take it from a team thats knows how it feels to be put out early in the district tournement and a team that has won a state championship.

Should be some great Basketball played in 9AAA this season.At first glance I would say Wilson Central and GAllatin will battle for first and second MJ and LaVergne will battle for third and fourth Smyrna Beech and H'ville will battle for fifth sixth and seventh. All of which is capable of winning a suprise game or two to jump a spot.
