  1. Until you get to the post-season, there really isn't a reason to break a tie. There is a reason that games end in a tie. Either there are two teams that played equally, or maybe one team "dominates" the game but can't put it away. Either way, maybe a tie is exactly the result that should occur.
  2. Is the new starter at Ole Miss a new player to the team, or was she a backup last year?
  3. Henry County is in the district with Rossview, Clarksville, etc. right?
  4. Someone actually joined this morning to point out that Columbia Central only has 4 losses?
  5. What's the story on the 3 bearden girls? did they play last year?
  6. Even worse schedule in 2005. Not sure what your point was in printing it. Basically, you just proved my point. Thank you. You only beat Harding by 5, though.
  7. Shouldn't the BEST team of all-time be a "no-brainer" for being the best team in the state for that particular year? St. Agnes was a good team last year, but they were not the obvious choice as best team in the state. Before you St. Agnes fans scream, read what I just said. They were a good team. Just don't think they should be anyone's BEST ALL-TIME team from this state. 3 reasons. (1) The schedule. Yes they played a few good teams, but look at when those games occurred. Franklin was an above-average team and they played them in the fourth game of a weekend tournament. Not the best time to show your true colors. St. Agnes also played Collierville and had to come from behind to win. The previous games, Collierville was beaten by their local rivals while St. Agnes warmed up with something called St. Benedict. Sorry, but St. Agnes didn't get the best Collierville had to offer. Throughout their schedule, they just had to show up to win most of the time. It's pretty easy to get up for a few opponents when you had so many breathers. And please do not spit out statistics when speaking of St. Agnes last year. 11 stiffs taken from the halls of many high schools could have won vs. many of those teams they played. 19 of their goals came against something called Harding, while 10 came vs. Lausanne? Look at their "real" games and compare those scores with the other teams that played them. Nothing too special. (2) The year before. In earlier posts, people listed teams and ranges of dominant years, such as Ridgeway and Franklin in the '90s. They had some good runs, and if you took the best team from those runs, you probably had teams that should be considered in this discussion. If St. Agnes of '06 was the BEST all-time team, shouldn't they have done more the previous year? It was mostly the same team wasn't it? As far as I know, only one key addition in '06. This team would have won the state in '05 IF it truly was the BEST all-time team. (3) Other teams in the state. As I said before, the BEST all-time team should obviously be the best team in the state that year. If you took St. Agnes, Bearden, Collierville, Houston, Brentwood (who didn't even get to the state tournament), and Baylor (before injuries diminished their chances of a state championship), I'm not sure St. Agnes would have the best record if the top teams all played a round-robin format tournament. The BEST all-time team would sweep through such an event. St. Agnes was good, just not the best.
  8. 1994 state champ was Germantown, not FHS.
  9. what year in school are Taylor and Johnson?
  10. what is the width of blackman's field?
  11. What was West's final record?
  12. Anyone have 30+ goals this season?
  13. Eddie Yah... the man? the myth? THE LEGEND!!!!
  14. I believe that Eddie Yah is a fictional character. He is a myth. Noone can be THAT good. Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy, and Eddie Yah. He has become legendary on CoachT, but has anyone ever seen him play?
  15. Seems to always be arrogant with the comments. Also, isn't exactly good at player management as players every year it seems can't stand him. Younger players in his club often can't stand him. You can do a bad job of coaching when you have so many good players and usually end up winning a majority of your games. The jury is still out as to his coaching ability.
  16. How about that, someone else feels like pointing out that the national ranking don't include all 50 states. The latest poster just joined yesterday and felt the need to point this out to everyone. WE ALREADY KNOW THAT THE RANKINGS ARE FOR SPRING STATES. You know what? Who cares. And you are wrong, ALL of the other states do NOT play in the fall. Some have a winter season. It's something like 9 states that play in the spring.
  17. I just know that year after year, that man seems to do more with less talent than a lot of teams.
  18. Heard from several goalkeepers that the rubber particles will often get into the eyes of keepers.
  19. More kids quitting? Lima must still be the coach. I promise, it has something to do with that coach.
  20. i'm sorry, but the jp2 nets aren't any different than any other nets. I saw them the other day, and they are not "custom made" any more than other nets. plus, having something stitched on the net doesn't cost much Defending your net like this is making jp2 look silly
  21. i think the colliersville coach is one of the ones that never played soccer
  22. Hear that silence? Hear it? That's the old man that drives Brentwood's bus NOT honking tonight.
