Thanks rcpatriot. So what I hear you saying is he never has to to hit 171, just 173 or under after Christmas.

So if a wrestler certifies at 171 does he have to actually weigh in at 171 before he can take advantage of the 2 lbs? Or can he just weigh in at 173 after Christmas?

Everyone gets the 2 lbs after Christmas, but my question is do you have to weigh in at the original weight at least once. Example, if a wrestler wants to wrestle 171 does he have to weigh in and wrestle at least one match at 171 or can he automatically go to 173 after Christmas?

Does anyone know the top 3 each weight class at the Indian Classic?

Guys, I don't mind you liking or disliking the rankings. I don't mind if you prefer Bray's over Matmans. The whole point is that you are paying attention. As long as Bray and myself are creating a little bit of a stir and getting more interest into this great sport of ours, we have done our job! Thanks to all the guys that praise and complain about the rankings. Keep it up and tell a friend! Hamm, I think the rankings, Bray's or Matmans are a real motivator for these guys. If a wrestler is ranked he's got something to prove by winning and staying ranked. If a wrestler isn't ranked he's got something to prove by winning and getting ranked. It drives these guys to try to get to the top and stay once you are there. Wrestlers self motivate. These rankings fuel the fire and drive of these guys. KEEP IT UP!!

Who's Jeff County got at what weight this year? Can they compete with the likes of Greeneville and Science Hill?

I think the Jett brothers need to be at the HS level. They have proved they can win with or without that "star player". They put the best players on the field in positions that the team needs them in.. oh, and most importantly, they don't play politics, care what your last name is or where parents work or how much money they make. They just coach football.

started pre season workouts with about 15 young men out. expecting about 10-12 more once football is over. still have the old man turley there, been there about 9-10 years now. have a good bunch returning and several wrestlers that were good middle school wrestlers. we will be young in spots and seasoned in others just like years past. Are there any with the potential to be state qualifiers?

They were young and very competitive last year. Which way does the program go with Moreman leaving for Farragut....

I think the bottom line is JC has got a lot of young guys who just aren't ready to play at this level. This ain't middle school ball. Mentally and physically they just aren't tough enough, but that will come. I don't recall Mike Rich, Brent Collins, Mason, Bales or Cagle sitting out, they'd just come off the field, wipe some blood off, get taped up and go hurt somebody. They wanted to be out there hurt or not.
