  1. personally i prefer a 4-3-3 without a flat back 4...maybe that is just because our defensive players are the slowest on the team...that could be why people score a lot on us. even a 3-4-3 can be effective if you have strong midfielders who aren't afraid to challenge forwards or other midfielders while the ball is in the air or on the ground
  2. nike zoom air legends are pretty good...i got them this season and they have worked out really well so far. only bad part is a got a blister on my left big toe but other than that they are extremely comfortable and have great touch and feel
  3. i hate to tell you this but there was more than one student who hung the banner...even if he did dress out, he is a pretty big guy...around 6'5" or so and close to 250....i am sure he could handle himself
  4. if the coach is in 3a in middle tn then the only undefeated team is station camp and the only teams with one loss are David Lipscomb and giles
  5. Don'ta Hightower from marshall county can lay a hit on you if he gets the chance. he is 6'4" 225 cleans over 300 squats over 500 and benches close to 300 (his long arms hurt him on bench). it is too bad he hasn't had a better season
  6. i would be very interested to know who that coach is, as well. you could atleast give a few more hints...like the class. there are a lot of successful coaches in the midstate
  7. i am pretty sure that the tigers are gonna win this one, even though the GC team is extremely good this year. the boys on the field know how important this game is, not only for their season but to their seniors who have beaten GC every year. Coach J doesn't realize that this game isn't just for his season it is for all of MCHS. If he loses this game he will lose the rest of his already dwindling fan support. "Tigers put the bob in bobcat"
  8. the game was pretty much what i expected...a lipscomb victory with a few tiger points scattered throughout. i think if the tiger defense would get it through their heads to WRAP UP! they could have had a pretty good chance at beating the mustangs. final scor- 56-20
  9. well the posters may say "the year of the tiger" the season screams "WJ's last season!" the tigers should win this game...the key word there is should. they should have beaten page, sycamore, greenbrier, and cheatham county but they failed...miserably in 2 cases. i will go with the tigers even though my gut is telling me not to. tigers by 7
  10. yes...the story is true and sad. he was the o-line coach but the loss of the coach didn't seem to affect the o-line very much. congrats to the cubs!
  11. i don't understand at all....this team has some of the best talent that marshall county has seen in a few years but is a 2-5 team!!!! what is going on with them? i have nothing against WJ but his play calling is a bit sketcy...like the reverse on a 3rd and 14! i guess we will just have to call this a "rebuilding" year and look towards the future!
  12. The loss of Gower won't affect the Tigers very much because they are used to playing without him. WJ will have to put Morris in at qb and leave o'neal out wide to give his soph. qb some options. i would expect to see hightower and braden a lot during this game. MC better hope CC can't defend the run.
  13. Gower did rebreak his collar bone at practice yesterday. the coaches will probably leave o'neal out wide and let morris take the reigns again. the one question i have for these coaches is...why are you allowing gower to get hit in practice? it just doesn't make any sense!
  14. leave the coaching situation alone in Marshall County...these boys have been through enough this year.
  15. Hightower is fine, o'neal is fine, but gower isn't who he used to be. the accuracy, timing, and presence aren't there anymore. hopefully he will turn it around for the second half of the season!
