Not trying to start a thread fight. Support for the program is what I mean when I speak of Boosters. Mt. Pleasant has 80 plus players on there team beacuse they are winning and all teams have large numbers when they do that. I believe Mt. Pleasant was in another classifacation at some point. Don't we think that in the near future that with the growth in that area and increase in school enrollment that they have the potiental to be moved up a notch.

There is no doubt that MT. P has another good football team this year with an outstanding running back. I hope you all enjoy your time at the top because I think we all have to be realistic in that fact that you probably won't be there long, after graduation and reclassification. When your winning it is great, 80 plus players, boosters offering anything and everything, community support and front page headlines. I hope the Mt. Pleasant faithful stay just that, faithful, but don't get to cocky or that high horse your riding on now because it might bite you on the butt when you saddle back up for another run at #1.

The Bulldogs are much improved this year and are playing more as a unit. Mt. Pleasant is a very good football team as long as Marco is on the field. Cornersville played a good CA team and came away with an important victory. Lewis County showed how Mt. Pleasant can be beat and that is with hard nosed defense that keeps Marco contained inside( easier said than done) and powering the football ball down the field keeping the tigers offense off the field. Don't know if Cornersville will win but be ready to get your monies worth. Go Dogs.

Chapel Hill should finish high in their region but wait until there is a head count and they are forced to move to Class AA. They have been able to squeak below the cap for years but with all of the growth in that area and enrollment numbers their having it is just a matter of time.

The bulldogs scrimmage Richland last Friday afternoon and showed some great improvement from last year on both sides of the ball. The defense was very effective with giving up few yards rushing and 3 interceptions. Bulldogs looking for a great 2007 season if like most small A schools can keep the injuries to key players to a minimum.

I think Coach Johnson has the talent on his team to pull off a number of wins for the remainder of the season. My question was focused on that the Tiger powers that be seem to have a itchy trigger finger when it comes to a mediocre season and there coach.

Will this Fridays game cause the other shoe to drop for Johnson at Marshall Co.?

The best thing about high school football is that each week teams play who may not be the best in there region but match up with others to get your $5 worth. I believe this will be one of those matchups. I am sure there are many people that will enjoy this game alot better than going to watch Brentwood Ac. or Riverdale go beat someone 100 to 0.
