If we all got on here and said everyone is the best.. everyone is the greatest.. no one needs improvement then it would be pretty boring. I think your son is a good QB and I am sure he is a great kid. I hope he is a state championship QB BUT...you watch the games just like we do. Eli Manning was "not great, needed work....NOT PEYTON ..and he won the SUPERBOWL. It is something people do...discuss football on here. I apologize if I offended you or Brady. Just think Flanders could shake things up and make things a little interesting for opponents. Of course not take Brady's place.

I heard straight out of the mouth of someone that makes decisions or should I say someone that matters that Cory MAY be the most versatile and yes he did say Best athlete on the team. He was VERY excited about having him back and did say Corey would be playing some QB along with Brady, Many teams including Maryville and Cookeville and Coach Monroe's teams in the past have used a duel QB system. Speed and quickness are two different things and help teams in different ways. Although he may not have the grasp of the offense yet, he adds something that Brady does not mobility. I am a Brady fan but his inconsistancy and some of his mechanics are definitley in question, Nothing like a little competition to make you or break you.Brady had got to start applying what he has learned in the off season and from the season he had last year and do much better than he has been playing, Tell me you don't hold your breath when he steps back to pass. I know I can't watch sometimes. I am not down on him. I just think there is no time but the present for him to "come around". The fact he knows someone can step in if he doesnt, is a good thing. WE SHALL SEE.

Fatsak got jokes...I like that. If East Ridge or Central wins more than 5 they will surprise more than somebody. They will surprise everybody. Brady will be fine. He will be fine THIS year. Jaquez is the real deal. The entire region and state will feel his wrath. I say last year, although it was painful for all of us...was valuable experience. Go watch these boys practice. I didn't have heat stroke when I watched them and they looked GOOD. What a GREAT home schedule. Fans need to come out and support this bunch and ENJOY some great high school football. They will be fun to watch.

ok day after day I get on here and watch everyone that feels like it,degrade Ooltewah-school, team community students and Coach Monroe. I promise you this...and I am sure no one cares..but this is the last time I will be on COACHT. I see why GOVMAN, ETCOACH and many more are rarely seen anymore on here. These are people's lives we are dealing with here. People get on here and say...they should have been suspended...thrown off the team..thrown in jail. I don't think Coach Monroe is not suspending the seven players so he can win. THink what you want. I just don't think he wanted to throw his boys under a bus. Teaching them a lesson or "molding their character" may have to do with what he is doing. WHO ON HERE KNOWS 100% what he has said to them done with them?? I know for a fact they have been punished and will continue to have to do things. Does everyone discipline their kids the same. I know OR had an incident with their coach at Clinton game. It was handled. I saw people on here wanting him fired... I saw people taking up for him. Everyone ALWAYS knows what should be done. Coach Monroe is a great man. I played for him. He doesn't put up with crap. But he also doesn't let people tell him how to coach or who to play or what to do. I guarantee you this. He cares great deal about his players and talked and talked and went over things and made a decision based on what he thought was best for them. He didn't play one of our best players on the team last week in one of the biggest games of the season because he broke a team rule and didn't practice all week. God knows Coach Monroe can coach. He has made changes and played players this year mostly sophs instead of seniors and made lots of people mad. But in the end, he is the coach and gets paid to make those decisions. Get off his back. I have for a couple years enjoyed getting on here and having fun. No more. I am done. This is a witch hunt and I won't be a part of it. GO OWLS. I pray everyone stays healthy tonight. If someone talks about the defense you mention the fight. If someone talks about the offense you mention the fight. If someone mentions practice you mention the fight. My Owls will not beat Farragut tonight. I know that it is ANY GIVEN FRIDAY. There is a reason that I do think that, but will not give any thing away before the game that might let the ADS in on anything. This is NOT a good thing either. Farragut by 10. I hope I proven wrong.

EVERY year is THE YEAR for them. They were standing side by side with Maryville holding up th gold ball last week I have said it time and time again Farragut has their number. If you can't win with this team you never will. ya got the OAK RIDGE WILDCATS licking their chops and the Cherokees who beat ya last year. Kinda making it real. Brady is IT! Let him play through it. He is a passing QB. He is making "rookie mistakes" He will be fine whether you believe it or not! Be as hardnose as you like. You can't put in a whole new offense and execute it half way through the season. The only thing to do is to go with WHO and what ya know.Who do you want in place of him WHO! First and foremost, nothing was "covered up" there was an extensive investigation and 3 people were arrested. One player was kicked off the team. Second, we have only lost ONE game. This is not a perfect world and this was a very serious incident that was investigated taken care of and is now over from this teams standpoint. Others kids, players,students, band, cheerleaders, dance team, parents and coaches and yes administration work very hard to keep this program going and have never done anything to get this kind of treatment from some people in the community. Yes a terrible thing happened. Because it was not handled exactly how some people thought it should have been, because they were hurt, angry or "EXPERTS" on situations like this is not the problem of the people trying to get on with the season. Should the football program be stopped altogether??? Should all the kids at that game be kicked off the team??. Should the coaches be fired for not locking those kids up when they go out of town??. Should the kids be put in jail, when they did not physically harm anyone??. Who's place is it to decide these things??? This is so crazy. This season is far from over. The way to show INTEGRITY and class is to come out and support this team and school. It is your choice if you do or not. But blasting this team over and over does nothing to help or hurt the situation. PLEASE let's talk FOOTBALL and let this go. PLEASE!

Hi GOVMAN-no this is not true. All starters were there. The player that got kicked off the team was not even a starter.Arsenio named in the article got kicked off before the season started. So all were present. Some only in body not heart and mind but not trying to make excuses. It has just been a mess. People want to blame coaches, administrators. Things that happen off the field- on weekends should be parents responsibility. Just my opinion. Good luck friday.

Ok, I have to say you played a great game. You won. You dominated, but let me give you some background and put a couple of things in perspective for you, if that is ok. I have a feeling it won't but here goes and anyone on here correct me if I am wrong. This bunch of Ooltewah boys have played two games together this year. Not 4 not 3 but 2 games. AP polls are a joke as you can see by our #4 ranking. The press goes by who coaches the teams and how they did last year ect. Our senior QB ,who in my opinion was not very good (sorry) ,quit after the first ballgame of the season. He played backup to Jeremy Woods last year and did know the offense well but just wasn't very talented. The young and very talented QB in the game last night transferred from Baylor and never went through Spring practice with the Owls> He is 15 years old (SOPH)and this is the 3rd yes I said 3rd High school football game he has ever started in. The first game in week zero, he shared time with the senior QB that quit.Also two seniors that started last year were kicked off the team before the season even started replaced by sophs. Number 36, Smith, that was in on most tackles last night is a Soph. This was his third varsity game ever. Yes Brian Marshall is a senior. There are several very good seniors on the team, Caldwell, McReynolds, Norwood so you turn to senior leadership to pull together the team. Now You have this game hyped to the max. Last weekend the "altercation" in North GA happened and the entire week was spent with Detectives at Practice and the head coach reviewing security films. So do you throw it back on Coach Monroe? They have and open date and I am sure he went to a ballgame to scout a team he will play later in the season. While he was gone the altercation happened. Were the players involved with the injury of the students?One was he got kicked off the team this week.They have it all on tape. Did Coach Monroe and other coaches spend all week caught up in meetings and more meetings yes? Was this team ready to play a game last night no. Whose fault was that? The Coaches? Maybe but I don't see how they could have NOT got caught up in all the stuff that went on since it was required by the law enforcement ,principals of the schools ect. Sooo all I am saying is....Is William Blount a better team..yes. Did they come to play yes. But I will tell you this. If you think you whipped a GREAT number 4 ranked fantastic Ooltewah team then go ahead have you day have your WEEK but rest assured the team you beat will not be the team you may have to play later in the year. Do I want to get to play this team again YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Do I think we will NO. But I tell you this much. If you are basing how good you are by beating this team THIS week then be VERY careful. We did beat Mcminn last week-who beat Farragut last night who I don't think you guys have EVER beaten. Correct me if I am wrong. It didnt even look like the same team last night .We will see how good you are next week against the REBELS. Beat them and I'll be a believer. But beating this ever so young, ever so distracted ever so inexperienced team 35-0 is NOT anything to base your GREATNESS on. Yeah ya beat Ooltewah. You beat this year's team NOT last years. Two totally different teams. And if you remember, which I know you do, the Owls didn't look that great in that game either. This Owl team will get better. I have even heard of trouble makers getting on COACHT and making up a new screename just to trash teams schools ect. One good way to tell is to look how many post they have made. I know there is one last yr on the Smyrna/riverdale thread that I dont think was from either school.
