  1. ER and NC won last week, everyone else took their lumps
  2. I think JB played the Smyrna Bulldogs B-team last night. From what I heard from all the rumors surrounding LCA, that may not be too much of a stretch of the truth. Their #1 and #4 were good, tough athletes and I hope #12 is the best QB we see all year. He was pretty dang accurate. All in all I don't think JB did terrible considering all the starters on the sideline and not really knowing what to expect from LCA.
  3. Sorry if I caused any confusion as far as posting the date of this game a while back. I copied it straight from the Rob Co Times and never thought twice about it. I looking forward to seeing JB's defensive front tonight. They should do well, if not dominate, based on what I saw at the jamboree. Hopefully the secondaty will hold their own against this passing attack.
  4. Week 1 games, my pics in bold... Lancaster Christian @ JB ER @ Clay Co CA @ WHH NC @ Ezell HC @ Stewart Co Bruceton @ McEwen I don't have a clue about Lancaster, but I'd say JB should be the favorite. ER/Clay looks like a pic 'em. WHH gave up a 21 point 1st qtr lead last week. I'll pic NC, but Ezell beat DA and I don't know if that is impressive or not. HC shouldn't have a problem. Bruceton put up 63 points last week.
  5. Looks like you are perfect on the season so far. Week 0 was a good one for D10!
  6. I don't have a dog in this hunt, but I will say that Fairview's #22 is FAST!!! The Cubs don't need to let him hit the edge.
  7. You beat me to it! I agree with all pics except McEwen @ Zion. The Warriors haven't beaten Zion in the past few years that they have played, and I haven't heard anything about McEwen that would lead me to believe thay they will end that streak. I believe HC and Waverly is a straight up pic 'em.
  8. Scrimmage recap from the RCT...http://www.tennessean.com/viewart/20130813/ROBERTSON02/308130055/Red-Devils-run-over-Cheatham
  9. Take I40 west, I65 north to exit 112, west on Hwy 25 for approximately 4 miles, take a left on Kilgore Trace. You'll see the high school once you turn.

  11. JB's pre-season schedule that I've seen... Aug 2 - Clay Co. at Jo Byrns @ 7PM Aug 9 - Cheatham Co. at Jo Byrns @ 6PM Aug 16 - Jo Byrns vs Stewart Co @ 715PM ER Jamboree
  12. I hadn't heard that and hope his recovery goes well.
  13. I was looking at the other classes to see if anyone else was talking about the jamboree. 20 teams would be crazy, but it very well could happen. It isn't a stretch considering how close ER is to I-65. Just think, there is not an easy or fast way to get to ER for Houston and Stewart Counties and I'm assuming they are turning down a chance to play in whatever jamboree they have in Clarksville, just like West Creek. That tells me that the ER jamboree must be pretty dang good in comparison. For Fairview and Page it's no short trip either, but atleast it's all interstate. Commish, I want you to see my post from over on single A about how much some teams will get to see in a couple of weeks... I didn't have time to go back and edit my last post here, but I really wanted to say JB will ONLY get to see 3 upcoming opponents as compared to a few other schools. Due to realignment and this jamboree growing to 14 teams, some schools will get to see as many as 5 of this (and next) years opponents... Cheatham Co. gets to see Fairview, Greenbrier, Sycamore, WH, and WHH Greenbrier - Cheatham, Springfield, Sycamore, WH, WHH Heritage - Cheatham, Greenbrier, JB, Sycamore, WH White House - Cheatham, Greenbrier, Springfield, Sycamore, WHH Sycamore - Cheatham, Greenbrier, WH, WHH Fairview - Cheatham, Page, Stewart Houston - East, JB, Stewart Jo Byrns - East, Houston, WHH Springfield - Greenbrier, West Creek, WH East - JB, Houston Stewart - Fairview, Houston Page - Fairview West Creek - Springfield Hendersonville is the only school that will not see an upcoming opponent. I know it doesn't mean much as far as breaking down offense. Most any coach will keep it very basic. IMO, getting to see another team's defense is the biggest benefit, and to see up to 5 of those opposing D's is a big deal.
  14. I haven't seen them in person so far this year, you George Plaster lookalike! From what Moto was telling me, we lost a LB and should be returning all but 2 starting linemen. Kevin Adkins is a Senior in his second year starting at QB. I'm not sure who all will be starting in the backfield or at reciever, but if Jesse Hyde is back to 100% there will be some speed. He could be close to what we had in Colton Morris from a few years back if he has put on some size over the past year. Just saw this... Key Returnees- Kevin Adkins (QB/DB, Sr.), John Bales (RB/DE, Jr.), Jake Hyde (RB/DB, Jr.), Jesse Hyde (WB/DB, Sr.), Jake Fletcher (OL/DL, Sr.) Jacob Sligar (SE/DB, Sr.), Brian Smith (FB/DE, Jr.), Levi Fletcher (OL/DL, Sr.), Kiefer McCown (OL/DL, Sr.), Stetson Spain (OL/DL, Jr.) Key Losses- Myles Morris (OL/DL), Ace Evans (OL/DL), James Wakefield (LB), Vince Damrow (TE/LB) Tell us about She-gleville and Ajax since JB plays them this year.

  16. Yep, the jamboree loses Portland from last year and gains Fairview, Hendersonville, Houston Co, Stewart Co, and West Creek out of Clarksville. JB will get to see 3 of the next 2 years upcoming opponents.
  17. I saw this link on this years ER Jamboree out on the interwebs...http://www.evarsitys...HEDULE 2013.PDF Looks like it'll be on Friday,***NOT SATURDAY***, Aug 16...(times approximate)... 20. Here is the schedule for 2013 if you haven't already seen it.
