StevieRayVol, always the eternal optimist for DCHS and DHS football and without a doubt you have been in the running for multiple football head coaching jobs with all of your bountiful knowledge on the game and especially the coaching aspects of the game. Sounds to me like you hold a little bit of a grudge from "your boy" being booted from the team by Renshaw during his "glory days". The discipline (or lack there of) you always speak of seemed to be too much for "your boy" as he was shown the door by the coaches at Dyer County. It takes alot of guts to come on a public message board and hide behind a screen name and bad mouth people who are doing their jobs. If there were only a message board for loser couch potatoes for all the rest of the DC and Dburg faithful to get on and critique your slothness.

East got a great man and did a great job finding a very good coach to lead their program!! I wish him the very best and hope that the community will embrace him and get behind him in order to bring Eagle Football out of the darkness. I really hope for the sake of the coaches and all of the players the negativity that surrounds this thread turns to positivity and a new direction for the new coach. Congratulations and good luck to the Eagles!!!!!!!!

I have been told from a reliable source close to the program it is his MCL, not his ACL and after returning from Jackson on Friday night the Choctaws worst fear was confirmed. #5 will be out for an extended period of time.

I have my suspisions as to who high school sports fan is. I have it narrowed down to two. My assumptions come to a bad sports writer from d-burg or a bad official also from d-burg. Either way it is sad that someone in either of these positions would have this kind of opinion being in such influential roles.

Seems to me that Dyersburg spends an awful lot of time and energy worrying about a program they say is terrible. Why worry about Flowers if you are sure you are gonna win? Why do we need two pages about your opinion on DCHS if you love DHS? Seems to me you should be worrying about the Sheffields of the world or maybe who you have this week instead of what Dyer County is doing. Maybe then your school can go 10-0 in the regular season and actually win a playoff game. Dyer County - Dyersburg is a great high school rivalry and makes for a great crowd on that Friday that is for sure. If I remember correctly it was 22-22 last year at halftime. Should be an interesting contest this year.

The Games will begin @ 6:00 tonight. Game #1 Dresden vs. Ripley Game #2 Haywood vs. Henry Co. Game #3 Bruceton vs. Dyer County In between game one and two there will be competitions between the schools like fastest back. There should be a couple of good backs there from DC and Dresden.
