  1. This is ridiculous. It's time for Gordonsville to get rid of its coach and bring in fresh blood. He's been a disaster aside from lucking into one good year 5 years ago.
  2. Regardless, they got it wrong. The media, like they did last year in awarding Zach Stewart 1A Lineman over Alex Givens, cater to UT commits. They got that one wrong last year and they got this one wrong this year. Oh, and Johnson also has about 300 return yards. All the defensive stats in the world will make Higgins the better player. This is NOT a slight at Higgins. This is a slight at the biased media that vote on these things. The media that all wear polos with power T's on their chests.
  3. Boy did they ever get this one wrong. Nate Johnson - 83 / 1,700 yds / 24 TD Tee Higgins - 46 / 840 yds / 16 TD I understand he may be in a run oriented offense but this was not even close. You all know good and well why Higgins won. And it wasn't because he had the better year.
  4. A kid that hasn't even been rated by 247 or Rivals ending up at Bama of Ga Tech? Nah. Not happening.
  5. Does Z104 have an iPhone app? If they do, will they air the game over the app? I'd like to listen to it next week. I remember DTC broadcast some of the games last year on the internet, will they do the same this year?
  6. I bet coach would like to have tht play before the half back now...that's why you don't make dumb calls like that.
  7. Let's run a route in the flats when it's 4th and 5. Good call coach.
  8. Indeed. He's hit GVille DBS as if they're his intended target.
  9. My Word this is such a terribly coached team. Gordonsville near midfield, with :04 left in the half and no timeouts left. You get the ball at the half. So what does coach do? Instead of calling the smart play and taking a knee only down 14-10, he decides to try and score. First off, his QB doesn't have an arm to throw it 50 yards. Second, his receivers have shown they can't catch anything but a cold tonight. So instead of going into the half down 14-10...you go down 21-10 because the QB from GVille just threw a pick 6 to end the half. Remember when I said he didn't have an arm to throw it 50 yards? He passed the LOS(about the 48 yard line) so any reception would have been negated by an illegal forward pass and the chucked the ball down field, it was a rainbow that seemed to hang in the air forever, and was picked off at te 20 and thus, returned for a TD. Such a dumb dumb call by Marshall. THIS ISNT MADDEN OR ANY VIDEO GAME!
  10. If this were the case then Rutherford County kids would stay in the county and not go to Ensworth and the other great Nashville public schools. Ensworth hits Rutherford county hard. Sounds like GP and JPII are getting out recruited by Sumner public schools.
  11. This is awesome. Gonna check out my alma mater from St Louis tonight. Good luck GVille.
  12. I could respect that...if I believed in the existence of Jesus. Seriously, stop with the religious mumbo jumbo. It never ends well. You asked for information, I gAve it to you.
  13. Not to knock NACA but....their website looks like it was designed by a 12 year old. Very kid-ish...reminds me of the new iOS7.
  14. Tuition is $6500 a year according to this, rather modestly prices compared to that of MBA, Ensworth, etc... LCA TUITION NACA is the National Association for Christian Athletes You can read more about the organization HERE
  15. A lot of these camps are by invite only. It's hard to get noticed when you're racking up stats against, for the most part, lesser competition. It's not coincidence that most D1 football players come from bigger programs where there is better competition. I'll give you am example, Corn Elder, had offers from all across the country(recently signed with the U.) he did not attend one single camp event this past summer instead he played AAU bball. He got his attention because he played at the top football program in the state, Ensworth. He also made Jalen Ramsey look silly on the field. He was on fields that were scattered with D1 prospects. It's hard to get noticed(without camping) if you're the only legitimate D1 guy on the field. You think Corn Elder would have gotten the same attention if he played at a small program that doesn't play fierce competition? The size/type of program you play in absolutely matters. Coaches know which programs churn out D1 prospects.
  16. I said it was hard, not impossible. I can give examples of kids going from smaller programs to having standout careers playing top notch college football.
  17. My point was its hard to get noticed out of Smith County. I wasn't suggesting he transfer. Just if he were to do that, it should be a step up from where he's at. I know you're moving to DII. Which class are y'all going to be in?
  18. Most of the analysts don't see Jalen as a BCS caliber back. Most likely C-USA type.
  19. Interest letters don't count. Its more than i ever got(which was nothing).Has he been invited to any junior days? Any camps put on by rivals or 247? Cason is a small back with OK speed. He doesn't have a frame to bulk up and be a big back either. I think he can play college football at the D2 level or maybe the 1-AA level. But Manning will play at the level of a CUSA school or maybe a big East school. My point was to say that Manning would start over Cason but arguing that is futile because its not a smart move if he did indeed do that.
  20. Just film for both. Just curious, how many scholarship offers does Cason have?
