  1. The only thing in this post that I agree with is Congrats to both teams. The refs decided who was going to win this game in the second half. One of the poorest officiated halves of basketball I have ever seen. I dont know if it was too early for the refs, or if they just hadnt had their wheaties, but they was terrible. . . Every time Faulkner flopped to they floor, they whistled Pickett for a b/s call. Its hard to beat a team when it is 8 vs 5.
  2. Congrats to the LA. McMinn really didnt expect to see that. I think LA and McMinn has met for several years in a row now sometime during the post seasson. McMinn always brings a good team to the gym. It was a tough job for LA tonight and they got it done. Leave No Doubt!
  3. I have to agree. I really hate to say this, but in this game the refs really did dictate who won the ball game. They took the game out of Pickett county's hands and placed it in Madison's. Faulkner is good, but until the refs started giving her free throws everytime she fell to the floor, Pickett had her shut down. I was really dissappointed to see Pickett lose this way. I really feel like the Bobcats was the better team. . . . I was glad to see Megan White get to play today. Congrats to PC on a good year.
  4. On paper, yes LA is better. That does not mean Tyner is to be over looked. They are very big and play very physical. LA will be prepared and I hope to see them take the trip to the Boro! Leave no Doubt!
  5. Can't wait to see how packed this gym is on Monday night. Good luck LA. Leave no doubt!
  6. Not completely true, Dunn is good. However, he is had off games this season and his team has picked up the slack. LA is much more balanced than many may think.
  7. LA played in that gym against McMinn a few years ago, its a small gym and also very loud. McMinn always plays well there. Should be a good game.
  8. Best of luck to Pickett Co.! Leave no doubt.
  9. Congrats to both LA girls and boys. They have played hard all season long and deserve this. All five of the starters (Deven, Will, TJ, Clint, and Chase) have really stepped things up in the last 7 or 8 games. They have also been getting good help from the people who come off the bench. I hope they continue their success and maybe we will see both girls and boys go to state. Leave No Doubt!
  10. JJ is simply the best High School basketball player I think I have every seen!
  11. Very true. Something that bothers me is that Dekalbs coach was right in front of the student section when this was being said... Not much class was showed on dekalbs side of the gym.
  12. LA won big. Here is my problem with the game, Dekalb student section chanting "HOGEYE HOGEYE S*** MY MEAT". Are you freakin kidding me? Your team is down by THIRTY POINTS are you are saying crap like that. Not only dissrespectful, but really upset some people. Including me. I guess that was the only way Dekalb was going to be remembered after that game, because it certainly won't be rememebered by what they looked like on the basketball floor. I don't know about everyone else, but Its hard to respect a team who puts up with their student section saying things like that.
  13. Congrats to PC on the win. I guess Jim Brown will have to work on his "recruiting" for next year.
  14. Everygame from here on out should not be taken lightly. LA will be ready to play tomm. night.
  15. Missed calls are understandable. Everyone makes mistakes, no one is perfect.
  16. There are many good refs in TN, and this guy seems to be one of them. At the same time, there are some bad refs out there. I have known some refs who go into a particular game holding a grudge against a coach. That is wrong. Now as far as the LA and DCA game goes, the officiating was bad that night and stupid at times (especially when they made the student section stand on top of the bleachers instead of on the floor, there is no rule that says a group of people cant stand up in front of their bleachers.). I would not be a ref no matter what it paid, there is a lot of pressure that comes with that job. Also about the LA Student section, that ref was out of line, BUT Principle Watson of LA should have stood up for his student section. It seems to me that he doesn't realize the student sections controlls a big part of the momentum in that gym. Watson needs to let the student section act like a student section.
  17. I was by no means trying to say that either side is perfect. Both sides brought a huge crowd last night and it created a great environment for basketball. . . Congrats to TJ Smith as well, he played a good game and was rewarded at the end of the night.
  18. This is true. I hope both teams make it that far. Who wouldn't want to see them play again.
  19. All I have heard since the last meeting between LA and Upperman is that when they met on a neutral floor, Upperman would come out on top. You got your neutral court, and you were handed a loss. LA took the lead in the first quarter and never really looked back. Upperman made a run but the Wildcats was too much for the Bees. I guess it really is true that a BEE can only sting once. This was also the first meeting between the two teams that the officiating was evenly called. . . One more thing, during the trophy presentation, LA clapped for Upperman, Upperman sat on there hands when LA was handed a trophy. Congrats to LA, they played a great ball game.
  20. Hope writing poems is not what you do for a living.
  21. This game cannot be predicted, I promise you that. What I do know is that it will be very physical, lots of fouls, players in foul trouble, a packed gym, and a great basketball game. Chase Dunn will need to loosen up and shoot the ball with confidence, and continue to get other players involved. Deven Ramsey, Will Peterman, TJ Smith, and Clint West will also need to play the way they have been as of late. Cant wait for the start of this one.
  22. Upsets can happen, however in this case I really believe that it will be LA and Upperman in the finals. And with out too much contest. Then again, it is tournament time and no one can be underestimated. LA
