What is going on with www.eurosportscoreboard.com? It hasn't issued any rankings. Also, many of the scores aren't being entered/updated. If your team isn't current, anybody (including a parent or friend of a school) can register get authorized to add games, update scores, etc.

H2odog, don't give up. From what I'm hear, this might be St. Agnes' year. Schedules are set in advance, and games that you think will be competitive don't end up being so. Post good information. State your opinion. Read the replies, and ignore any #%#%^! that bothers you. The more who participate in this forum, the better it is for everyone.

Blue - Science Hill vs. Ooltewah Blue - Tullahoma vs. McMann Blue - Bearden vs. Independence Gold - ND vs. Bradley Central Gold - Knox Catholic vs. Shelbyville Gold - CPA vs. Centennial Gold - Maryville vs. TN High If correct, that's 11 AAA teams, and 5 A/AA Teams. 8 of the 11 AAA teams are in Mjahb's week 3 ranking, including #5 (Bearden), #6 (Tullahoma), #7 (Independence), #9 (Centennial), #18 (Ooltewah), #23 (Science Hill), #24 (Tennessee), and #25 (Bradley Central). Of the 5 A/AA teams, 4 are ranked: #1, Notre Dame, #3 (CCS), #4 (CPA), and #7 (Knox Catholic)

I'm trying to find out who's Playing in this weekend's CCS Tournament in Chattanooga. I know CCS, Notre Dame, and Bradley Central, don't know the full list of teams or the schedule. Does anyone?

Sounds like a great opportunity for Girls Soccer in Tennessee. Are there any similar tournaments of such size?

While the population of Middle Tennessee will probably assure greater depth, I'd stack Chattanooga (Baylor, GPS, Notre Dame, CCS) against the teams you mentioned. Ask Father Ryan, FRA, Centennial, and Ravenwood. All of these teams have come to Chattanooga in the last two weekends, and all came up on the short end.

I don't know much about the Katie Hunter Tournament. Seems like a whole lot of schools. How is it organized? Are there different divisions? Where are the games played? Is is round robin, double elimination or what? Where are the games played?

I just read this article in www.chattanoogan.com about a GPS player recently diagnosed with Leukemia during her physical prior to starting school soccer. GPS Team, Local Soccer Community Rallying Around Palmer Griffin Bruiser Junior Undergoing Cancer Treatments In Memphis by Stan Crawley posted September 1, 2006 "Because she can't ... we will! That is the theme this fall for the GPS soccer team because one of their own, Palmer Griffin, is not able to be with them. Griffin showed up for her preseason physical displaying no signs of illness. It was diagnosed on July 28 from that exam that her platelets were very low. More tests were then taken and Griffin was diagnosed with leukemia, a rare type that required one year of treament -- not in Chattanoga -- but in Memphis at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. When Griffin left Chattanooga en route to Memphis, the entire Baylor soccer team greeted her with signs and cheers on Signal Mountain Road. She was then given the same sendoff on the ramp leading to Veteran's Bridge by her teammates and coaches. "Everybody was crying, it was so emotional,'' GPS coach Will Kessler said. "It hit us at that moment that she was not coming back any time soon.'' GPS players are weaaring either one or two yellow shoelaces as a tribute to Griffin. Her best friend, Josie Rix, is wearing Griffin's No. 13 jersey. Displayed in the GPS locker-room is the sign: "Because she can't.'' We're trying not to overdo it, but we want the girls to remember when they are the most tired that Palmer would love to be here,'' Kessler said. At the end of every practice, it has been traditional for the Bruisers to huddle for a final cheer. This year, that cheer is "We will!' Consequently, the 2006 theme in honor of Griffin is "Because she can't, we will!'' "It has been great to see an ourpouring of care from the soccer community for Palmer,'' Kessler said. "Before we played Ooltewah, their captains came to me and asked if we could all join together to pray for Palmer. "The entire soccer community is behind Palmer. It has been amazing.'' Kessler reports that Griffin has "good days and bad days.'' She is out of the hospital and in the hotel section of St. Jude. "She is so positive and so upbeat,'' Kessler said. "She keeps saying that we'll take care of this and that she will be back. "The amazing thing about Palmer is her resilience. She has been quite impressive.'' Notre Dame 13 - Howard 2 ND looked ugly in the 1st half, but seemed to get their act together in the 3rd quarter. Congratulations Coach Wiggins and Team!

Baylor 2 - Father Ryan 0 (Baylor controlled the game, FR goalie had some great saves. Anna Fisher of Centennial was injured at the Centennial vs. Notre Dame game on 8/26. She and the ND goalie collided on a breakaway. Anna did a flip and landed on her head. It was ugly to watch. They called an ambulance and took her off the field on a back board and wearing a neck brace. This happened early in the second half. After the ambulance left, the coaches of both teams decided to call the game. I'd appreciate any update on how she is doing.

I agree that FRA played perhaps the hardest schedule of the weekend, with GPS, Baylor, and Notre Dame. Notre Dame, though, was also playing a hard schedule, with ECS and Centennial. Notre Dame was also coming off the emotional game against Centennial where Anna Fisher was injured and the game was stopped with her being taken to the hospital. The fact remains that on a hot 3-game weekend, the team with the deepest bench had the advantage. Notre Dame probably played 20 players in the game against FRA. I don't know exactly how many subs FRA used, but it seems like either their bench wasn't as deep, or wasn't used as extensively. Teams like to play in these tournaments because they get 3 games yet it only counts as 2 against the regular season limit (of 15?)

You might want to check your records for FRA. They went 0-3-0 at the GPS tournament, loosing to GPS, Baylor, and Notre Dame. I don't know what they did prior to this weekend, but they should have at least 3 losses.
