After having two District games postponed for "weather" against Westmoreland and Greenbrier, White House Heritage will face for the first time in District play Sycamore Friday night. Thoughts on this game. Looks to me like a couple of teams looking for a signature win. Heritage has not pulled together as a team yet this year, with a win over White House and a 9 point loss to Harpeth early in district play this team has lost the last 5 out of 6 games including Christmas tourny. Sycamore similarly has lost the last 8 of 9 games.

I dont think the Traffic issue is the reason.....ha. Special Game - Special Venue. This is a game that has been waiting for 10 years. Patriots are scrappy and fast. Blue Devils do have size advantage on the line. Heritage prob has an advantage in the Air. As far as the skill players go...prob even. This game will be won in the trenches. It is a big District game. I'm pulling for the White House Heritage Patriots. The Newblue in town.

Defense is what got Heritage this far...very fundamental and tough. Some of the faster(read shorter) teams like Forrest and Eagleville were very frustrated and I think surprised that our big guys had the speed and agility to stay with em. I feel Heritage will pull it out tonight. Has a Richland basketball team ever made it to final 8. or better?

White House Heritage Has a great shot at making it to the Glass House for the first time in School History.They Host Richland Monday night. WHHeritage beat Forrest in the first round of the regional . Forrest beat Richland this season.....stands to reason. Good luck

White House Heritage HAS FINALLY broken through the glass ceiling that has been winning deep into the regional tournament. So, For the first time in School History, May I introduce to you the Region 5A Champions ! WHITE HOUSE-HERITAGE. Earning them the top seed in the Sub-State Bracket Heritage will be hosting RICHLAND the Runner up in Region 6. Community Will be traveling to Mt. Pleasant. BOYS WELCOME TO THE SWEET 16. LETS FILL THE GYM.

cr 32 obviously has not been on any of the JB football threads either, lots of mature, thoughtful and objective conversations there..... ok, now down to basketball. Heritage has now surpassed the best this school has ever done in a single post season, made it to the Sweet 16 !!! Boys or Girls. So that is a mildstone, host a sub-state game would be great and a birth to the Glass House... priceless. Heritage is becoming a school that is know for its Basketball. Given its short history as a High School (12) years they have come a long way. But never this far. Congratulations for a job well done. Community will be a tough test tonight. They have a big team with fast lanky ball handlers that like to slash to the basket, tough to stop at times. Heritage is down 1 man due to a knee injury. That will take a toll. I believe that Heritage will still be able to play well and win. Good luck in bringing home the Regional Champinship. Thoughts on Region 6 Championship between Richland and Mt. Pleasant.

Good first round by WHHeritage....I think they prob got by the toughest(first round) team in the Regional....which is kinda strange being that WHH was the 1st place team going in from 10A. That was a very tough 1st round game for a District Champion team. That being said...maybe the road to state just got a little easier, Forrest did beat Eagleville twice during the reg season once by 10 the other by 6 i think. Now WHHeritage catches Eagleville. The fact that Heritage only allowed Forrest 14 first half points and made them go 0-7 with NO offensive rebounds on their first 7 shots in the first qt prob has the short hairs on Eaglevilles coachs neck standing up. Then Heritage weathered The 2nd half storm that Forrest was sure to bring and held them off. Can MTCS continue the run ? On another note...I saw the bloodbath at NCS between Community and NCS, officals really "let them play" which ended up giving the beefy Community team an advantage. It was a good game though. What are thoughts on the matchup between Community and MTCS > WHHeritage and Eagleville tommorrow night?

Sorry Forrest had to come to White House Heritage twice this year and had to take that long trip home with sad faces. Once in football and the other Saturday with the 1st round of Regions in basketball . This will be the last time either will make that trip...Heritage will be moving up to 9AA next year. Eagleville Host the Regional finals....Heritage will play Eagleville. I see Forrest beat them TWICE in the regular season. Looks like percentages would have Heritage winning the next game.Comments... Forrest has no reason to hang their heads,it was a great game Sat. A tale of two halfs forrest going 0-7 with no offensive rebounds on their first 7 shots of the first qtr was telling. but rebounded in the 2nd half to make a very interesting game. Heritage by a slim margine.

LEAD is VERY quick and what they lack in the way of offensive skills they make up for on the defensive side of the court. If they had a big man(6'6") or more well I dont want to think about it.btw poor McEwen, first to go down to the new kid on the block. I dont think they will be the last. Also saw that Eagleville lost to lead in a Thanksgiving turny. Enough of LEAD...WHHeritage has started the season with a bang. (3-0)(1-0) with Clarksville Academy on the horizon. Wins over Greenbrier and Westmorland, neither of which I would write home to mamma about...but wins none the less. Those two teams are both future DISTRICT games for Heritage. I look for Heritage to run the table in District play this season, they really look good. They have all the pieces of the puzzle, several big men, several 1- and 2 guards who are learning to shoot the ball, a deep bench. Just a matter of fitting them all together correctly. Which should be easy enough....right? Good luck to all. Injury free is the key.

Where will they play their home games>? Where do the students/players come from mainly>? Inner city kids or do they come from all over>? Interesting that they were put in 10A any input on that.

Ok who has the 411 on LEAD Academy...

Houston Co. had a HOF game with Cheatham Co. Lost 45-79. I think Cheatham is loaded this yr though. Might not be the comparison we are looking for for the rest of 10A. Who else has played ? Any other HOF games coming up? Looking forward to basketball season. btw, this will be the last yr for WHHeritage in 10 A for those who dont know.... will be moving up to 9AA most likely. TSSAA votes today on the new restructure of Districts. 9AA as follows : Cheatham Co. Westmoreland Greenbrier Sycamore White House Harpeth White House Heritage Looks like the games that have been avoided the last 10 years between WHH and White House will be District games now. Administration between the two school have not allowed the teams to play each other for fear of splitting the City with hate and rivalry.

NCS defense has stepped up a few notches...witnessed the JoByrns game few weeks ago...great stand on JB last posession won the game for you. IF NCS D plays up to its potential, CA will hear a door slam on their stellar season.

looks like you will be able to listen to it on audio. Watched the highlight video from your website vs MTP you have some good players. Front line for Loretto looks pretty big .....a couple of whales here and there. Good Grief ! Nothing we havent seen already this yr....(3A)Greenbrier comes to mind, HUGE but we still pulled it out.

Ha Ha hey Butchie, yeah my first post in a long time.....but tryin to get behind this Heritage team!! mine has finished up football for the yr (8th grader) and now its High School all the way. I do believe Heritage will give Loretto all they want. Not so many Loretto supporters here. Where ya at? We lost starting running back w/ broken ankle first game of season vs Davidson Aca and have had other injuries throughout the yr but have come back strong and now need to continue this run to the Championship. BTW nice win over Wayne Co last week.

WHH is a very good team and much improved, well rounded, well Coached, they are just as good in the air as they are on the ground. Defense will absolutely bring the wood. I believe they are "peaking" at just the right time. Houston Co and WHHeritage played each other in the regular season(3rd game). HC won that game 26-14...fast forward to Rd 1 playoff WHHeritage beats #2 seed Houston Co soundly 37-12 in their House. Improved? I say yes.
