Private should play Private. Great example, Temple and Friendship Christian. One team should not be able to beat another team in the final eight in Class A ball like Friendship Christian beat Temple on Friday night. It is an unfair position that private v. public puts small single A schools. When you have only a limited number of students in school, the probability that you will have several great athletes is very small, but when you get the cream of the crop as the private schools do, it makes for an unfair advantage.

I beg to differ...Coalfiled shut them out totally and they ahd their starting quarterback the entire game. The Coalfiled defense is tough!!

Both teams are great. I think if either team thinks they will just run over the other they are sadley mistaken. I believe Coalfield being at home puts them over the edge to win the game, but it is going to be close either way.

Harriman fans said the same thing about the officiating during the Coalfiled game. What they need to realize if they dont commit the foul they will not be penalized for it. I agree about the holding calls, Harriman is guilty about every play. Harriman has great talent and that is how they win. their coaching staff is one of the worst I have seen. They do not prepair their team as well as they should. Harriman is a good head coach away from being a great program. Coalfield was called for penalaties and got the short end of some bad calls during the Midway game. No home cooking at Coalfield on Friday night. Looking forward to great game agianst Hampton.

The question now is can you understand that Coalfield has beaten you twice this year. If not for a terrible spot on that fourth down conversion Midway probably does not even score. I will give Midway credit for hanging tough at the end. The Midway quarterback is a great player!! That being said, you can now focus on basketball because the football season is over.

OK let me do the math for you. Coalfiled - Undefeated in region play, and on the year. (3 wins agianst AA schools) Harriman - 1 loss in region play (Coalfiled). Midway - 2 losses in region play (Coalfiled & Harriman). Do you understand?

You must be the dumbest individual ever to watch a football game. Midway plays the same teams as Coalfield. I would be surprised if you have enough sense about you to fing the stadium on Friday night. Sometimes it is better to be thought an idiot and remain silent than to speak and remove all doubt!!

You must be you of those crying Harriman fans thinking Harriman does no wrong. If your team does not commit the fouls they will not get penalized. I was at the Unaka game (at Harriman) and you had the same calls agianst you there as you did during the Coalfiled game. Harriman commits more holding, false start and late hit penalties than any team I have ever watched. Harriman has great talent but are poorly coached, hence all of the penalties.

Hampton wins becuase they are at home...Coalfiled beats Midway to set up a great game in round 3.

The last thing Harriman wants to see is a rematch with Coalfield.

Harriman wins because they have a higher talent level. Harriman's head coach could not outcoach a little league coach.

Harriman will win this game because they have more talent not because Unaka will be out coached. I would say that Harriman has the worst head coach in either region 1 or 2. Harriman wins because they have a higher talent level, not coaching!!!

Waht about region 2. Cream of the crop is coalfield and they could beat anyone in Class A. FC is the front runner but Coalfield could win it all.

You need to rethink your life if you think Harriman can win this region! Unless someone cancels Coalfield's season everyone else is playing for a distant second place.

Coalfield v. Wartburg ok but the real rivalry is Coalfiled v. Onieda, two great programs with a tradition for winning. It was really great when they were in District 2A!! Go Jacket Nation!!

No doubt, Gary Kreis at Coalfield. He always has a winning team!! Hampton should never lose at home, most crooked officiating in the entire state of Tennessee!!!

If Wartburg's coaching staff does not do any better than they have in the past of getting the Bulldog's ready to play, Coalfield could take their pee wee team and spank their tales red!!
