  1. Yes, it is amazing they read T about their delay in updating, but have no clue as to how to rank the teams other than from what ever bias the coaches have that respond. They could lean a lot by reading T beyond the thread set up to question their updates. MJUHB we need you more than ever.
  2. SAA----4 BCHS--1 I am editing to say that I don't know how well the field drains and remember a game 2 or 3 years ago that had standing water on the sidelines. If it is "puddled-up", the goals could be harder to come by. Has anyone played on a dry field since Labor Day?
  3. I guess I am trying to mellow and hate to beat Page to death, but I did the math when I read "her coach limits her to 2 or 3 per match" and knew you can't be "the leading scorer in the nation" without more goals per game. Thought I would let that slip, but you have provided the real facts.
  4. As the Page turns, more and more info..............
  5. We all look for many reasons, scores and comparisons and so forth. I too find humor in a team 0-3-0 being at the top. I may be part of the problem with e-mail being full. I am sure them are getting bombed with questions on why they have not updated in 3 weeks. I have sent them 2 or 3 emails asking why there's not up date and I have sent our TN coach/rep 2 or 3 as well. No answers from anyone. I will tell you that when I was trying to register several years back to post games and scores and had difficulty logging in, Coach M got right back to me about 8 months after the girls season was over. Garbage in is garbage out and no reply is garbage as well. I guess I don't know why or how they survive. No, I don't want to start a new one, but thanks for asking.
  6. Dragons vs. Mustangs..... NOT This was Red Devils vs. Mustangs ! How did we get here???
  7. Great Defense..... Outstanding Offense.....EQUALS 0-0 B A L D E R D A S H !!!! All things are not ever equal, if they were, well you know.
  8. Canes is in Vegas picking up more $$$$$ than any HS soccer better ever won. WOW! I am not worthy.
  9. I will make that happen, if at all possible. I know all the g-men, but you. Chass, DonC, Canes, Cleansheet, heck, I even threw a bone to Soccermom. Hopefully, we will be able to meet up in about 3 weeks! I'll bring some Beggin' Strips... Exactly..... My puppy is playing in college but my litter will be there and will be not be on the porch. It's getting fun again
  10. I heard that both teams attempted slide tackles and they were arrested by the GPD.
  11. Sorry, First lady of Soccer, but you will get me back.
  12. I will make that happen, if at all possible. I know all the g-men, but you. Chass, DonC, Canes, Cleansheet, heck, I even threw a bone to Soccermom.
  13. This is the score at the half.....don't want anyone to say that you are reporting mis-information before the final whistle blows! Houston goal came about 34 minutes into the half....however, I heard that G'town had 21 players in the box! you got peeps, but it is now 3-0 and I will let you do wrap up!
  14. Oh my! Oh my? You have just created the longest rebuttal in Coach T history for some someone who does not know the coach or has only seen one game. I think if you have 20 or so minutes, you might want to go read this aloud and alone or phone a friend and read to them and see if you would really want these words on your soccer tombstone. While many will not believe what I am about to say, but I am barkless!!!!
  15. houston 1 g town 0 gtown has 14 players in the box
  16. Excellant Point: Been raining forever. I hope they play. My daughter's College game was cancelled today as they play on grass. We've cancelled 2 and should have cancelled 2 others. Glad I'm AquaDog. Thanks G, me like it. Revised prediction: Houston 2 G'Town 0 Remember to surface when you only have 500 PSI left.
  17. bbsfan, who would they face in sectionals this year? I saw in the article that they made it to sectionals 3 years, but were knocked out. With all of the re-classification, I am curious if they will advance through this season. It looks like they have some very talented players to do so. I will be interested to see how they face against a tougher opponent, though. You have to admit they haven't been "put to the test" yet. If I'm not mistaken, if they do make it to their Region finals (which, having played them, I fully expect them to do), wouldn't they play a team from Region 5 in sectionals. District 9 is metro Nashville...CPA, Hume-Fogg, David Lipscomb. The top teams in District 10 are Harpeth, White House, and Montgomery Central. Historically, District 9 has owned this region and usually send the representatives to sectionals. In other words, I think they've got a pretty good shot of getting over the Sectional hump. I don't have a clue how all that sub-state, etc. works where Page plays, but in looking at Eurosports (use if when one can), there is night and day between the top 4 ranked teams and 5 & 6 IMO. If they have to play the teams they have scored 100 goals on to advance they will, but when they hit any of the top 4, BYE, BYE.
  18. Euro says 7:00 PM..... If you don't mind a nosy dog from the West sticking a snout in, I will offer: Bearden.....3 Irish..........1 Sorry, DonC & CDDS.
  19. It will happen and you guys need to push the Memphis Teams to not travel 3, 5, 7 hours when you are so close. The West has slipped up and let the Middle and East get together and now we have to play each other multiple times to make a season. Some of us are just on hear because we were rejected by FaceBook and have no where else to stir up discussion. Some of us stir with a paw, some with a cane, even some use a cleansheet. You'll get use to it. Well maybe not.
  20. So, you've "got their scent" now you can "track them"? You know I'm keeping score!!!!! Big G 2 ----- Little Mutt 1/2
  21. That wasn't what I was doing. I don't have a dog in this fight. I was interested in seeing the type of opponent that Page played, and didn't recognize many of them. I also looked at the records of those opponents, and saw that the numbers weren't too impressive. I tried to compare them to some of the stronger teams in the state, and those numbers made more sense to me;or at least were more impressive. i am sorry if I wasn't too clear with that. Sorry, I couldn't connect the dots and now understand your point. Maybe now we have them on our radar, we can follow their progress.
  22. I think it was referring to the quality of the opponent that Page plays compared to the other teams that were listed. Thanks for trying to make sense of the comment, but if that were the case, I might have understood. Unless Fred. J. Page HS uses another name, they don't play any of these schools. Not on Eurosports list of opponents or on CAK's or ND's list of opponents. BUT, as you know, I am acronym impaired. Sooo, to me it makes as much sense to put records of schools you don't play to make a point as to say " the sky is blue and my feet hurt" ??????? I understand the "stretch" is that the teams they beat are 68-58-16, but why not use their names, not the best of the best???? Sorry, just won't work for me. So let's use schools they do play: Cheatham Co......Scored 11.....Against 50 Huntland............Scored 1.......Against 30 Cane Ridge.........Scored 8.......Against 34 Cornersville........Scored 0.......Against 9 That sort of paints another picture. This was directed to Elmer, who I assume was trying to suggest Page plays a tough schedule. No disrespect intended to the girls scoring or the team. I hope they score a 100, but I hope is in more that 10 games.
  23. Re: Page Lady Patriots Postby Elmer » Mon Oct 12, 2009 7:11 am CAK's Combined W-L-T record of Opponents: 104-74-23 Notre Dame's Combined W-L-T record of Opponents: 96-53-18 CCS's Combined W-L-T record of Opponents: 119-81-20 Page's Combined W-L-T record of Opponents: 68-58-16 I too ask, "What does this mean?" Page scored 61 goals in 5 games, 69 in 6......... No comment necessary.
  24. First: I would like to welcome a new poster to T..... Welcome JacksonSteve!!!!!! Second: In my effort to be smarter that I appear on here, I was doing some research on the Germantown strength issue and went to USJ Euro page to see who they have played and how well they did. They are quite the scoring team with 79 goals this season, albeit there's only a couple of Teams from the Memphis area that I know. I understand they have a very good program, excellent facilities and are working to compete at a higher level. That being said, I think we failed to recognize their first victory of this year against IC. USJ 15 -- IC 0 An effort like that should not be overlooked.
  25. I think, just a thought now, Houston is a stronger offensive team than Germantown is a defender, maybe not 4 goals better, but two or more. Sooooooo...... Let's predict again: Houston 3 Germantown .5 Houston did not score 4 on St. Agnes and St. Agnes did not score 4 on Houston, but both could and sort of did, more so for Houston. Not sure why we do this, but it's raining and not much happening on T any more. I might need to find someone to bait on the b'ball thread.
