Your saying at one time Unaka was scared . Because you said they are not scared anymore that means that sometimee or another they were scared . Thats not to much of a football team is it . You should never be scared to play anyone if so then you shouldnt be on the feild . That goes for LANDER FOOTBALL also. Like I said were not some big awesome team this year,but we have improved alot in 3 to 4 games. Ecspecially on the defence side of the ball. I really dont see Cosby putting 50 points or more on us Like OldEagle says . We may not beat the no 6 team in the 1a rankings but, Ibelieve it would be alot better game . My predictions Eagles get beat by 3 or 4 touchdowns BY Hampton . Nothing against Cosby or anyone on these boards. But Cosby is overated. The no.6 team in the state should have beat a down team like Cloudland by alot more than they did. Its over though and we will never find out if Cloudland would have done better on a clear night with one of their better players in the game.

Cloudland football has improved alot since the Cosby game. I wish we wouldnt have lost Hughes . We probably would still have gotten beat by Cosby but, on a good clear night I think we would give them a heck of a game. I know bye gones are bye gones but I would like to have another shot at them and Sullivan East . Maybe not Cherokee. They were a better ballteam. That just goes to show that the better team doesnt always win. Were very young I know that but, these guys are coming along good together. WE might get beat by Jellico this week but from I VE SEEN were doing better. Its agame of matchups and when 11 players line up against the other 11 players nobody knows. IF Prince is that much better than Cloudland then why do you think is was a ugly effort by the Landers. These guy played their butts off to get what little yardage they got. In my huge victory for the Landers . If the O-line for Prince would have blocked the QB wouldnt have had to pick himself up . The big guy 350lbs , is not Div-1 material. No. 54,10,28,22,23,42, and a couple more were very good ballplayers. The QB HAD A GOOD ARM AND WAS QUICK but not great. Cloudland had a little more motivation than Prince . The Landers had heard all they wanted to hear about this nationally ranked team or whatever. Prince has a good ballteam but , I dont think they could hang with most of the prep or private schools in middle Tenn. Iwpuld like to see them play Alcoa , or Maryville, even South Pitt. Ill agree they are two different level ballteams but I didnt see alot of difference last night. LOL of luck to the Warriors they were not as cocky as I thought they would be. Like you said Cloudland did its best to stay with those guys. Where Im from thats all you can ask from a ballteam TO DO THEIR BEST. Ticketholder , your not a local Im guessing. Thanks dawgfan for the good luck. Looks like the Landers done both tonight stayed healthy and done the county proud. We played great defense I know the scor doesnt show that but we really did. Im proud of Cloudland for the effort . We had probably 7 to 8 freshmen and sophmores on the feild the whole time. Prince had a huge offence and defence line . Real quick backs and receivers . I personally dont think their used to getting hit . I know Cloudand is way down this year , but they didnt play that way tonight. Hoprfully playing this team will give us a little confidence and help us through the rest of the year. When we seen and heard Prince Ave. complaining about gitting and dragging to the side lines they were either tired or they not used to getting hit to hard . Im proud of you Landers . Pujo you should have stayed it wasnt as bad as we thought it would be.

Thanks for the info Ticket holder . Head coach for the Landers might catch some heat over this . I wish Cloudland schedule Avery , Mitchell , Eliz, Crockett, Boone , Chucky Doak , or someone like this . I know its probably harder said than done , but Ithink it would be great . Most of these teams Ive mentioned could probably beat us this year . But not every year. There is a difference in playing a local 2,3,or 4a school ,a nd playing a school like Prince Ave. Thats a totally different class of football. Anyway we have to cheer them on .

Scott and Ford are great coaches . I know them both . They are good guys . Ive been to some of their practices and games . They have a good relationship with their boys . The guys on the team respect both Scott and Ford alot.. dont get me wrong Iwould like to see a change in coaching also . Not because CHS is losing . Because Lander football goes back a long ways . A very strong football program could go down hill . WE need a new face at the helm. And its not because I dont like Keith. I like the guy I just dont think hes High school head coach material. I think Potter or Baker would be great , heck their is alot of people I could think of that would be a good coach. But Scott and Ford walked in to a strong program. Any coach should win with that team they coach. Ive talked to alot of concerned parents and fans about the situation. Like I said any football program can and will have a bad year or couple of years. Thats not my gripe you need a coach that the ball players like and respect. They need to be on the same page . And I feel like our team isnt. I will be a positive thinker and say I think our program is on the rise . We just need to get behind our team and cheer them on. I was talking to the announcer at the Cloudland game last Friday after the game he said that Cloudland had alot of bandwagon fans . Its true it was a great night for football that night and there wasnt hardly anyone there. Back a couple years ago there was standing room only at all games . We have to support our team good or bad . We cant just throw up our hands because we have lost some games. We have been through this drought before and we come back. Lets get behind our team and stand proud . We have a great football heritage here. Lets dont let up. Tell every one to come out and support our team dont let up. Play every play like its your last .

Thanks Pujo , I guess I was just intimidated by the size. That would be awesome to knock off a team that is known Nation wide . I found out a lil info on unapproved website . hope your right . I was at the game against North Greene and we came out sluggish but we hit them guys pretty good they were worn out come 3rd quarter. I know the Huskies are a real weak team but a win is a win this year for the Landers. well take any we can get. how did the lil guys do yestetrday @ Happy Valley. The flag boys won pretty good . We got soaked .

I am going to the game and I hate to say it but I am worried about some of our younger ballplayers. heck I dread it for the whole team . Yes Warren is listed as Tight end . He will probably not see any time on the feild this year. Although he couldnt hurt nothing. Their defence is one of the reasons I started pulling for them about 20 years ago. Mickey Andrews is a awesome Defence coord.They also had a guy from Brentwood last year, He saw alot of playing time on D. Henshaw Ithink was his name . As far as Miami looks like the Cardinals just took the wind out of them. Thanks man good luck all year keep them boys healthy.

I love their desire to win . And they play INTENSE . They will take your head off. If anyone wants likes to see great football in these little guys you need to come watch them play . I think Coach Keith should stop practice one day and let the high school watch these little guys practice. It is a treat to watch them just in practice. Their practice kinda reminds me of a High school or college practice they full speed the whole time . The coacing staff seems to be great. I can be down their sometimes and hear helmits crack and pretty much know where the hits are coming from. These little guys have HEART, and I love it . Pujo when little man gets to high school will he play at Cloudland . I have a great deal of respect for you and your kid . I can remember so many times Ive come by the old Cloudland elem. and see you and TJ out there practicing something . You have also been there for alot more youth in the R.M area. THANKS. Hey man I didnt mean to ruffle your feathers . Im not downing Micheal . Like I said I llike him . All Im saying is that ever is a very long time . Same w/Byrd I also like him but he isnt the best QB Ive EVER seen. You say you have seen and thought more football than I can ever dream of. That may be true ( I doubt it) but it may be. If you have watched much HS football and never seen a QB better thn lil Mike then who have you been watching all of your years of football. Speaking of Byrd he shouldnt have been QB who knows what he could have done in 4 years as a half back. But w/a small school such as Cloudland and Hampton you alot of times play a kid in a position in which he is not best at. Byrd was awesome to watch but he isnt the best ever in my eyes. If this is the Kentucky team I wouldnt let my guard down. When we played them last year they had a solid team . They will hit you hard . If that same quarterback is playing he is a tough kid . Cloudland beat them last in the 3rd and 4th quarters. But not by much.
