  1. I also mentioned H Town and HV even Betsy. Just got lazy fingers I reckon
  2. Yep that was me bud. They gonna give you are hard time over something bud. Might as well be that.
  3. I’ve pretty quite about this one for One because I don’t know much at all about this years Jacket team. I know they are always tuff, usually have a couple huge strong linemen, and a fast, hard running RB. They got all that and more from what I’ve read and heard. I’m very proud of but honestly surprised at Cloudlands record this year. Those young men have faught their tails off this year and they deserve to win but I’m affraid the road comes to a complete halt this eve on Orr field. It’s shouid be a perfect eve/night for late season High School Football Playoff game in RM. Thanks to those young men and Coaching Staff for what they have gave and put in to this years season. And hope for safe travels for Coalfield Fans and players. Also to those coming from just down the road to watch this game. But I’m gonna say Coalfield comes to take care of business tonight and leaves RM with a 49-20 victory. Just my opinion tho. Good luck and hope and pray for an injury free game on both sides of the field.
  4. That’s alright Pal. You don’t gotta agree with me. Lol! And you can laugh at my few post I do share but like I said that’s just my opinion and the way I see it and hopefully as I had said in the post, I hope I’m wrong with them ready to be done. Don’t get me wrong tho I’m pulling for them fellers all the way. They have exceeded the way I thought this season would go by 3 games, wins. I guess we will both see come Friday night but I’m gonna take your side and hope that Ole Basin made us wake up and get ready for R2 teams. And who knows, stranger things have happened. If we are good nuff to win Fri night we could possibly get a W in Round 2. Just saying
  5. I know these young men on this years Cloudland team have faught hard all year and had a great season. And they are winners and it has shown. But I really think they are worn out from this year and kinda just ready to get it over with! I think they know if they win they know what’s next. Hope I’m wrong and it’s all just my opinion.
  6. Son you got me! Lol! I have no clue! I was thinking CB I gurss. That’s about how this brain works any more
  7. Exactly my thoughts 29. I was just looking at Copper Basin schedule and schedule rank. We can’t even look past this Friday night. I’m sure pretty much everyone has us favored by multiple scores but Ole Basin might come to Orr Field kinda like the Devils from Jellico, ready to play some Football instead of Tiddlywink and all the Homecoming festivities. CP prolly isn’t worried if we have already secured a spot in playoffs and could care less who it is. I’m not saying they will beat us and I really don’t see them stomping us but I wouldn’t load the wagon just yet for Friday night here in Lander town. We gotta play physical, hard nose, pound, Old Cloudland Football from kick off til last buzzer every game or we could lose on any given night. It’s happened before. I’m a firm believer in “Anything can happen”. I know getting beat by Basin wouldn’t hurt us as far as our Playoff spot on paper but it could take a lot of steam and momentum away from those young men. They just gotta get out there and getter done and then think about the next game after Friday night. Just my opinion tho
  8. Hey guys I know this is off subject but if you don’t wanna Cook this eve or wanna take your wife/girlfriend out to a nice hot Dinner just bring the Family on down to the Pizza Inn in Betsy. The Jr. High Lady Landers are having their Fundraiser this eve from about 5-9. Highlander fans come out and support the future of Lady Lander Basketball and any one else that’s wants some good Ole Pizza.
  9. Gotta be honest OnB even tho it hurts.
  10. Noit, like I said Jellico came to play ball and they moved the ball easily on us in the 1st Qtr. I feel the Lander squad had Homecoming and just pushover game in mind. Just my opinion tho
  11. I was talking to one of my buddies at the game about Jellico and I was asking if he had ever been there and he said that he had been to a Basketball game, tournament there. He said that was prolly the best he had been treated at another school. Said that was some of the nicest and most welcoming people. Hope your son can hang in there for those young men! I’m sure it is very hard tho. These small town coaches we have up here and I’m sure yalls Coach too don’t do this for the $. It can’t be that much. Glad they do it tho. On another note that #4 is pretty quick and 52 is a big youngun
  12. No it wasn’t the whole team. That kid let it get the best of him. He yeld out some pretty ruff gestures at the fence gang then gave the crowd the Ole middle finger. Whatever Coach escorted him off the field had him by the back of his jersey leading him to dressing room. The Blue Devils did have a good game plan and the first half Cloudland came to the Homecoming festivities and easy game but Jellico came to play some Football. They have some good players. Play and run hard. I’m sure that kid that got ejected regrets his actions and if your son is like you say I’d say after the Coach got a hold of him after the game he really regretted it. Any way safe travels to them and thanks for making the Cloudland team realize that they gotta play to win. They are not just handed to them. By the way it looks like your son has those young men playing with some fire and heart.
  13. That’s right brother. I was half right any way. I do remember Greenback had 1 or 2 players in that game that was bound to be 6’5-280 that played on the D line that was tuff. I’m thinking one of them was a #71 maybe
  14. Sorry bud I was thinking Potter and gang was only 1 year ahead of us. I was thinking they graduated in 93”. My bad I’ve slept since then bud. Lol. What year did Greg Ryan light us up?
  15. So when was Clipse and company Senior year King?
  16. Well I was half way right on this win. I kinda thought whoever had the ball last would win but honestly Hampton should’ve had it last. That turnover with only about a minute to go to give us the ball was critical! I think Hampton would’ve scored without Coffey sealing the deal with the interception. Btw on another note hats off to some of the younger guys on our sideline. The announcer must have had his numbers and names wrong. He called out wrong names all night and some of those younger fellers carried the ball tuff all night and took some good hits. I’m not blaming the guy announcing, who knows what roster he was given. I’m just saying they stepped up big time. Good ball game to watch and for the most part very clean. I didn’t see any injuries that would keep a kid out the next game so I’m glad of that. We finally shook that dadgum crazy monkey off our back and hopefully we can start our own streak. I don’t know that we can hold One as long as the Dawgs did but last night was a start. Fun game to watch, a lil nervy but well worth the price of admission. On another note, how bout them Longhorns? They held HV to 7 points on Warrior Hill and that’s saying something.
  17. Yeah Warriors it seems like Hampton has had their way for like 50 years
  18. BIG GAME DAY IN H-Town this eve. Gonna be a gorgeous night for High School Football. Hope for a clean Injury free night for both squads. Turnovers, big plays and who has the ball last I think will be the key to the game!
  19. Mediocre is right about pass D but have improved a lot over the last 3-4 years
  20. Gotta get that Monkey off some time tho. Not sure it will be this year but it's a dadgum good time to getter dun. I havnt watched the dogs play and I know they are in the hole but like King said, that means 0 to this game. It'll be a slobber knocker fer sure. I'd like to have the gate money from this game and I'd take me a Big Ole hunting trip. Both Coaches will have their teams fired up and ready to play ball that's fer certain. Actually it won't take a single word from any one to these young men for them to be fired up. I personally think we are catching them at the wrong time. Just my opinion tho
  21. If Luns don't give Coffey a Lil break and he plays all 4 Qrts. He honestly could put up 400yds from LOS. Just my opinion tho. Just hope and pray for injury free on both sides. I say let some of the other fellers get some carries if we are ahead by enough.
  22. Attention is the main word in that message brother. There is a time and place for everything. And kneeling or whatever when our Nations Anthem is played at any event is NOT the time and place. Just my opinion tho. I Love watching pretty much any Football game but hate watching them kneel or however they show disrespect. And I won't watch it and neither will any one on my TV. Sad times but just fulfilling the Word.
  23. Brother that's probably one of my favorite group of words and expression of any and from any one EVER on CoachT. Thanks bud and I will pull for the ones like Davis that takes a stand and the one that stood alone with his right hand over his heart. I have always disliked the Cowboys but I'll pull for them just for that reason. I'm not a Jerry Jones fan but respect that decision. Also I don't agree with all that OUR, yes OUR President has done and said but he is our President for now and I am suppose to pray for him and our Government. But I didn't agree with our former President either. But I prayed for him as well. I for one have a kid playing ball in Carter County, not football! She plays Basketball. If she ever, while under my roof, disrespected our Great Nations Flag I would be on the Court or wherever she was at right after the National Anthem was played and I promise she would stand with her right hand over her heart and look at that Great, Beautiful Flag that God has Blessed us with the next time. Respect starts at home in the younger years. And I mean respect all the way around. Parents, Elders, Teachers and I could go on. In my honest opinion, if they don't wanna stand at attention for Our American Flag and think about the ones that have gave their lives for our Freedom and for the ones that would love to be home watching a Football game with their Families or just be Home with their kids, but are in another Country right now. They should maybe catch a Jet and go play in another Country and take a major pay cut. That would let the ones play that deserve it. Any way I'll hush now but this has struck a cord in me as well. Thanks to the ones that take a stand and do what's right and set an example. Hope God Blesses them abundantly. Honestly they shouldn't play any NFL games during Church time any way.
