  1. I am glad there is so much interest in the York/Milan game, but we are 25 hours from the championship game. Let this thread die. As you can tell I am from York we lost. We could say all the ifs or buts we want to but we lost. I am very proud of our boys and what they were able to accomplish this season. I do wish it was York not Milan playing tommorow night but its not because when time ran out the scoreboard said York 15-Milan 43. All the interest should be on the Alcoa/Milan thread not this one. Maybe we can do this again next year, but there is a lot of football to be played before that could happen. All that can be said now to both team good game and best luck in your next game. For Milan thats tommorow night for York thats next Year!!! I really enjoyed reading all the post in this thread but it is time to let this one die.
  2. Rocking Chair you seem to ad a bit of common sense to this forums. My Question to you is that I don't recall all those words of wisdom 34/35 years ago.
  3. Mark was an excellent player and coach, but most of all he was a great person. I enjoy playing with him at TTU and enjoyed seeing him as a coach. He will be missed by anyone who knew him. Our thoughts are with the family. Hubert Lester
  4. Here's another one... Didn't Coach Brown say something about taking SC behind the woodshed? I seem to recall reading that in the Herald-Citizen. I really do not want to be miss qouted by two post being put together. Here is what I said. 72york52 wrote: I think most coaches will do what they can at this time of year because of the no tommorrow thing. We know what to expect from these games and most the time it happens. Just proud to be part of the process. I was just wishing everyone one from our district good luck in the playoffs. We may fight like cats and dogs during the season but I like them to do well during playoffs or tournaments.
  5. Hope to see you at the hole be sure to come by and say hello.
  6. From York Institute: We will be leaving at 1:00 plan to be there about 5:00 after stoping to eat, looking forward to a good game.

  8. Must say that many said it was a weak district this year and maybe no real strong teams but a very good possibilty that 5 out of six make payoffs and five out of six with winning records we were all our own worst enemies. Lets hope that they all make a run in the playoffs and make our district proud.
  9. I can confirm the game start time has changed to 6 pm friday. Can also say with the temp bleachers (5 more sections for this game) we should have enough. We all wish they could be better but we are trying.
  10. You have been invited I will even pay your way in if you will stop by and say hello.
  11. Split back and I. So you are right.
  12. I hope neither beats the other by a great lot as that could be bad for us (york) latter on. Good to here from you you Rocking Chair looked for you at jamboree and they told me you were not coaching this year.
  13. Today Coach Dickie Brown was introduced as the new Head Football coach.
  14. The scrimmage will be today at 5:30
  15. It will be at York at 5 or 6 and that is all I know for now.
