  1. He definitely would have made a difference. He would have helped close up some of those holes. He's been a play maker all year.
  2. He's pretty agile for a kid that size. He definitely get utilized.
  3. Martese Allen plays line on both sides. He's been out the last couple of games. He did practice yesterday, but is questionable for Friday. He can open holes on the O side, fill'em up on the D side, and can hit you like a truck. BTW RW, Martese is listed at 295, and Fowler OL/DL is listed at 344.
  4. Who from JCM is playing D 1 ball and for who? Just curious.
  5. So I guess if P Diddy had offered to bring out their game ball at Orange Mound they would have just said,,,Naa, we don't want to show off, we're just gonna play ball. Whatever!
  6. Congratulations Henry County! Great Game, Great Win! Concerning the business signs, Paris Realty has had every game of the season and playoffs on their sign and also posted scores for each HC victory. (They didn't show the losing scores).
  7. Does JCM have any kind of offensive threat comparable to SS's #4? Not to take anything away from SS's effort friday night, they played a great hard hitting ballgame and put up a solid team effort, but without the yards and points that Forrest picked up on the outside, the score would not have been as close. I'm just wondering where we can expect JCM's points to come from.
  8. First of all,,,GREAT WIN RED! I unfortunately only got to really watch the 1st half (Had to work the consession stand from half time on), but it was an exciting ballgame, and watching the special teams block that kick and carry it all the way back was as fun as it gets! I'm sure it's been mentioned but there were three (that I could see) amazing and key blocks on Marsalis's run that allowed that score. HC looked great on both sides of the ball! Now it's on to Jackson. No team can be taken for granted. I know Liberty's record & numbers don't look too good, but upsets come when you least expect them. That's why they're called upsets. But I have no doubt that the kids and staff aren't taking anything for granted and will be as ready for this Friday as they would any. Can't wait for game time. Go Big Red!
  9. On the home pages for each school on this site the regional games are signified with an R, however when you look at Brighton's schedule JCM has a NR. The same on JCM's schedule for Brighton. Can someone tell me what that means?
  10. Thanks Drew. I meant to include the state championship.
  11. The way a lot of these posts have been going over the past week, you'd think that a RED mob bum rushed the Pats coaching staff and held a mass tar & feathering on the Henry County court square last Saturday! From what I've seen (but I've just recently joined the site) there really hasn't been that much coaching critisism. What little I have seen seems to have been simply exagerated by a few posters and blown way out of proportion. I don't know of any urinal sqad that was in force after the Ridgeway loss, and DC was just ONE game! Looks to me like there may be some interested parties out there just trying to get Henry County on tilt. But I got news for ya,,, forget about it. This is not directed at you realredpride I just used your post to respond, but everyone think about this; how many schools out there have a coaching staff with a Tennessee high school coach of the year award, multiple regional coach of the year awards, and a Super Bowl Ring!?! Red pride is alive and well in Henry County, and it's really going to shine after our region win tommorrow night! GO BIG RED!
  12. Lance graduated in "81". Ran track as a junior, and senior.
  13. I just discovered this site on Staurday, and am really glad that I did. I have spent the past couple of days catching up on the Henry County posts, and there is obviously a theme stemming from some frustrated Big Red fans. We need to keep in mind however that a couple of internet threads does not a fan base make! There are basically about a half dozen regular HC posters that I have seen here, and hundreds of HCHS fans in the stands. I admit there were some pretty heated comments concerning coaching coming from the DC visitors bleachers last Saturday night, but I still feel that overall the support for the program is strong. The only thing I would really hate is for the kids to read some of the comments here and get discouraged (which I doubt will actually happen, I feel they're stronger and smarter than that). But we've all got our own opinions, and I have faith that those opinions are being expressed for the right reasons, to show support for, and devotion to the team. There's a lot of ball yet to be played, and a lot of promise for a great regional season! Lets keep it real! GO BIG RED!
